As normal people, that those of us who are not social justice warrior or employed by the lame stream media, a community is a population with common values, and interests.  As used by the SJW and LSM types, a community is group of liberals that can be group together for political purposes.

So wait… you mean it isn’t all rainbows and sunshine within the LGBTQ community? You mean there is actually a hierarchy of who is more oppressed? If you identify as a “cis” gay or “cis” lesbian, you’re less of a priority than a gay man who used to be a woman because you didn’t “win” the Oppression Olympics? It’s like – who wins the gold medal in being a victim of society? Caitlyn Jenner’s in, but a drag queen marching to the tune of “Dude Looks Like a Lady” – not so much.

In short there is no LGBTQ community in any sense that a normal person would understand.

• China couldn’t care less about it’s contribution to Global warming, because they themselves already HAVE a communist government. And besides, they’re going broke anyway and can’t afford to do anything about it if they wanted to.

Thing is, there’s a big fireball in the sky that is the real cause of all this.

The data confirm that the current solar cycle, the 25th since records began, is picking up intensity at a much quicker pace than NASA and the U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) forecasted, sparking concerns of severe space weather events in the months and years to come.

While the space agencies predicted a maximum monthly number of sunspots during the 25th solar cycle’s maximum to reach a modest 125, the star is now on a trajectory to peak at just under 200 monthly sunspots, and some scientists think this peak may arrive in just one year.

There are a number of scientific disciplines…

Including amateur radio people (of which I am one), that will tell you that these sunspots tend to run in 11-year cycles and that last year the number of sunspots was not very impressive at all. Scientists have been predicting for a decade now that this particular sunspot cycle that we are currently in, was going to be very impressive indeed… and so it has been.

But so too, has been the number of global warming types who attempt to attach current Earth temperatures not with the big fireball in the sky but with their own political agenda. There is no credibility in any of it.

Apparently, reality is still a thing.

But read carefully, the comments of Justice Thomas in his concurring opinion:

“Though JUSTICE JACKSON seems to think that her race-based theory can somehow benefit everyone, it is an immutable fact that “every time the government uses racial criteria to ‘bring the races together,’ someone gets excluded, and the person excluded suffers an injury solely because of his or her race.”

There will always be people and ideologies which will try to divide us based on whatever category they can to gain a leg up not everybody else in, if nothing else, moral superiority.

“The solution to our Nation’s racial problems thus cannot come from policies grounded in affirmative action or some other conception of equity. Racialism simply cannot be undone by different or more racialism.”

Or as I’ve been saying for a long time now problems created by government are not going to be solved by more government.

“Anyone who today thinks that some form of racial discrimination will prove ‘helpful’ should thus tread cautiously, lest racial discriminators succeed (as they once did) in using such language to disguise more invidious motives.”

Here I think Justice Thomas underestimates what’s going on today.

“What, then, would be the endpoint of these affirmative action policies? Not racial harmony, integration, or equality under the law. Rather, these policies appear to be leading to a world in which everyone is defined by their skin color, demanding ever-increasing entitlements and preferences on that basis.”

And again I say, politicians can play both ends against the middle because of those policies.

Good riddance to “affirmative action”, you will not be missed.

Addendum:

There was a serious reason for the Democrats to be making all that noise about how conflicted Justice Thomas supposedly was, urgent for his removal from the court by whatever means. They knew this affirmative action case was coming up and they knew how it was going to go down.

In other words he dared to wander off the liberal plantation.

I’ve seen several people commenting that affirmative action is why Clarence Thomas is on the supreme court. Pretending El law for example was the result of affirmative act say. There again, but we’re looking at is the bigotry of low expectations.

Such people would have you believe that no matter how hard Clarence Thomas worked, no matter how brightly he shown intellectually, he wouldn’t have made it to his position without governmental intervention. Does the left really think so little of people of color? Apparently so

You’re going to see a lot of squirming over the next several days and weeks on this matter. But you should always remember the kind of disgusting bigotry that drives those objections. The kind of disgusting bigotry that there’s to suggest that people of color can’t make it in our society without the government intervening.

Gee there’s a statement that didn’t age well.

I’m telling you true, the difference between the Democrats and the establishment Republicans is the Democrats aren’t pretending to be Republican.

According to reports there are something in excess of 450 wildfires in Canadian Quebec and Ontario. The smoke from these fires is drifting down into New York and to Pennsylvania and the surrounding states. Air quality alerts are up for all of those areas and the skies have taken on a decidedly dark tone as one would get when rain was threatening.

Two things not mentioned in this string of reports however are the total incompetence of the federal government in Canada to deal with the situation. Although frankly, nobody is surprised by that incompetence nor of the lack of reporting on that incompetence.

The other thing not being mentioned in any of these reports is the futility of chasing my new amounts of CO2 in the atmosphere what naturally occurring fires wipe out any games made by the steps taken by the various governments in terms of pollution control. These wildfires are by far putting more particulate matter in the air then you never dream of coming from diesel powered trucks trains and so on.

The official position of the church of Saint Greta of climate change is difficult to argue when what they’re hollering so loudly about is dwarfed by a natural occurrence. But you may notice that that doesn’t stop them.

This seems an odd way to start an analysis, I’m sure.

The problem is that nobody, including myself, is an expert on Russian geopolitical matters. Not even the Russians. Our judgments there for are pretty much limited to guesswork based on Russian governmental history.

Given what we know of that, under normal circumstances the leader of the Wagner group, one Yevgeny Prigozhin, would be carrying around a few extra ounces of lead in his skull. As it is, that didn’t happen… which of itself suggests that this might be some kind of scam set up between him and Putin.

Either way, if the coup is genuine or fake, the smart money is on the idea that Putin is in some kind of political trouble at home.

He’s not in trouble from the Russian people, mind you, whom he has never cared about anyway. Rather, if he’s in trouble it’s from power players within his own pyramid. Russia’s elite, if you will.

You got to figure… if it’s true that there was an actual attempt to overthrow the current power structure, he’s obviously a trouble. If, on the other hand,it was fake, he at least thinks he’s in trouble and is trying to sort it out. There’s no way he’d go through the trouble with setting this up unless he thought he was in trouble.

One thing we can be certain of…Putin’s vulnerabilities both politically and militarily, have been exposed in this affair.

Some of you will remember Fred Thompson’s line in Hunt for Red October… “Russians don’t take a dump without a plan”.

It’s a nearly sure bet that Prigozhin would not have made this move unilaterally. He had backing, and urging, from elsewhere within the Russian hierarchy, and more than one individual within that hierarchy. Without support from that hierarchy, Putin would not survive. He understands this. Disappearing Prigozhin would not strengthen Putin’s position. So that didn’t happen.

The other thing we can be fairly well sure of is that this marks the end of his action in Ukraine. The Russian military simply can’t get the job done. Recent history, you would think, would have indicated that to him, but perhaps he’s too loaded up on pride. In an event, Wagner represented something on the order of 50,000 men. Granted, poorly trained men as Russian conscripts usually are.

But, here’s the thing. If you couldn’t get the job done with those 50,000 men, certainly you’re not going to get the job done lacking those 50,000 troops. Sorry, Vladimir, it’s just not going to happen.

And perhaps that’s the other thing here. It seems reasonable to suggest the possibility that Putin recognizes that he’s not getting anywhere with his Ukrainian action, and can blame unrest in the ranks for that inability. Lose the war he brought and still save face being the target.

That in turn, suggests that support for Putin has been fading for some time because of his Ukrainian failures. Put simply, if he’s trying to save face, it’s because he needs to do that.

At the very least this whole thing was a power play, but set up by whom and for the benefit of whom, we don’t know. This has always been the nature of Russian politics both domestic and global.
