CO2 in the Global Warming Models a Sham

Hume, last night:

Climate scientists from three American universities have published peer-reviewed research indicating global warming cannot be affected or modified by controlling the emission of greenhouse gases — and that current greenhouse computer models saying otherwise are wrong. The report in the International Journal of Climatology of the Royal Meteorological Society was written by professors from the universities of Rochester, Alabama and Virginia.

Lead author David Douglass of Rochester writes — “The inescapable conclusion is that the human contribution is not significant and that observed increases in carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases make only a negligible contribution to climate warming.”

The report says satellite data indicates greenhouse computer models ignore the mitigating effects of clouds and water vapor on the warming properties of carbon dioxide. It says climate change is most likely caused by variations in solar winds and associated magnetic fields.

A senior fellow at the liberal Center for American Progress tells Cybercast News the study is “radically out of step with the complete scientific consensus”

And with this report, my friends, it’s ‘game over’.  It’s the beginning of the end for the Enviro-nazis and their hold on us, with what amounts to the biggest scam ever perpetrated on the world.

And why would this scam focus on CO2?  Simple; it’s associated with all human activity. Once CO2 is identified as a “major threat to the environment”, that gives total control over human activity to the Al Gores of the world.

 Meanwhile, OwlGore went to Oslo to accept his Nobel Peace Prize. He says that, “We must mobilize our civilization with the urgency and resolve that has previously been seen only when nations mobilized for war.” He also wants America to stand accountable for its “affect” on the climate if it fails to give into his hoax.

And while we are at it … Al bragged about taking the train from the Oslo airport to combat global warming, rather than taking a motorcade. But guess what took a Mercedes SUV from the airport … Al and Tippers luggage.

Isn’t the hypocrisy priceless?

And to my thinking, this exposes the degree of seriousness with which Gore views all of this. We’re talking about  a power grab on Gore’s part, not someone who really is willing to do anything to lower his CO2 emissions.  Perhaps we can get him to close his mouth?

Much like the Republicans of 1994, the Democrats post-2006 are misinterpreting the “mandate” the voters gave them last year. The American electorate hasn’t suddenly swerved to the Left, much as Democrats might wish it were so.

The sea change in American politics is largely a product of Mrs. Pelosi’s fervid imagination.

So the Democrats are pissed that they couldn’t get their pound of flesh at the show hearing, today:

According to the former agent, waterboarding of terror suspect Abu Zubaydah got him to talk in less than 35 seconds. The technique, which critics say is torture, probably disrupted “dozens” of planned al-Qaida attacks, said John Kiriakou, a leader of the team that captured Abu Zubaydah, a major al-Qaida figure.

Kiriakou did not explain how he knew who approved the interrogation technique but said such approval comes from top officials. He did not witness or participate in the waterboarding, he said.

“This isn’t something done willy nilly. This isn’t something where an agency officer just wakes up in the morning and decides he’s going to carry out an enhanced technique on a prisoner,” he said Tuesday in a round of television news show appearances. “This was a policy made at the White House, with concurrence from the National Security Council and Justice Department.”

At the White House, press secretary Dana Perino said the CIA interrogation program approved by the president is safe, tough, effective and legal.

And so it is. As I’ve said elsewhere… what we’re talking about is a choice between a terrorists short term comfort, vs thousands of American lives. Interesting, that so many should have such a problem with the choice of the latter. Also interesting that the Democrats in particular should be so interested in the tapes… which you know as well as I would be You-tube fodder before the echo died.

For whatever reason, more than a few Liberals who aren’t very religious have a bizarre, paranoid view of Christians that is so out of touch with reality that they make the Truthers look sane. Just to name one example, take a look at Sam Donaldson, who said this on December 9th,

“Talk about a Christian theocracy in this country, many evangelical Christians believe… that’s what we should have, that government should favor people who have the right and understand what God wants us to do.”

You know, I’m a conservative Christian who reads a lot of blogs, reads a lot of columns, and regularly chats with other conservative Christians. In my entire life, I have never spoken to another Christian who wants a theocracy in the US and I’ve never read a column or single blog post that advocates a theocracy here in the US.

Clearly, John, you’ve answered your own question in the first line: They’re not very religious. They therefore have no clue of what they speak. Liberals should have no illusions that I’m insulting them, particularly; I’ve blasted a number of those ostensibly on the right and in libertarian circles who didn’t know what they were on about, on the same subject.

Christians, apparently, are handy targets for the clueless…. regardless what the cluelessness is rooted in.

Drudge confirms something I’ve suspected for a while, now:

Democrat party officials are avoiding any and all criticism of Republican presidential contender Mike Huckabee, insiders reveal.

The Democratic National Committee has told staffers to hold all fire, until he secures the party's nomination.

The directive has come down from the highest levels within the party, according to a top source.

Within the DNC, Huckabee is known as the "glass jaw -- and they're just waiting to break it."

In the last three weeks since Huckabee's surge kicked in, the DNC hasn't released a single press release criticizing his rising candidacy.

The last DNC press release critical of Huckabee appeared back on March 2nd.

In fact, as the story broke over the weekend that Huckabee said he wanted to isolate AIDS patients back in 1992, the DNC ignored the opportunity to slam the candidate from the left.

That Huckabee is arguably the most liberal of the Republican front runners…(Particularly in areas like foreign policy, health care, and so on ) would seem to enter into this, as well.

Of course, Mike Huckabee and company are deluding themselves:

A close friend to Huckabee explains: "Look, Mike is Hillary Clinton's worst nightmare. They should be squirming."

Maybe Huckabee bothers Hillary Clinton… but he doesn’t bother the Democrats. Indeed, he is certainly the best deal the Democrats could come up with, certainly, among the Republican front runners. If you broaden that field a bit, there’d be McCain… but of course, McCain hasn’t a prayer… to… ummmm… coin a phrase.

Here’s the thing;

When Reagan got elected, he had coat-tails which caused a seed change in America’s perception of government, and thereby, the voting habits of Americans. Sorry… but on that score Mike Huckabee is not Ronald Reagan, as has already been observed here.  There are a number of policy points where you cannot fit water between Mike Huckabee and left of center Democrats.  Worse, while he has very publicly taken up the flag of Boortz and his “fair tax” the way he speaks on the subjects suggest to me he doesn’t have the foggiest idea what it’s all about.  His implementation, thereby is going to be shaky at best, particularly with a democratic Congress.   Huckabee, thereby, does not constitute a seed change in our conceptualization of government.  he does not represent an electoral threat to their agenda, even if he does get elected.

I suggest that the Democrat’s worst nightmare is Fred Thompson. Not only is he more electable in the general election, because of the points that the democrats are currently sigering in their beer about, he does constitute a foundational change which will cause foundational change in the way we perceive government. He also understands the tax issue and has a quite workable solution on paper that he is banging away on, right now.   His coattails, should they grow large enough, will turn both houses of Congress back over to the republicans.  That is their deepest fear over in Howard Dean’s office, people.

There’s something else to all of this, as well; a short while ago we were treated in or a Clintons people saying that they had something on Barack Obama, the but they were not going to use it.  In short they were employing negative (or, if you prefer, reverse) psychology.  Is it possible that what we’re seeing out of Clinton, just now, also reverse psychology?

Allah Pundit, Hot Air, is not buying  Drudge’s take.   I say that Mike Huckabee’s naive appearance is no act.

I n a flagrant attack on freedom of the press, the Canadian Islamic Congress (CIC) has filed three human rights complaints against Maclean’s magazine and its editor-in-chief, Kenneth Whyte, accusing them of spreading “hatred and contempt” for Muslims, by publishing an article by Mark Steyn on Oct. 23, 2006, entitled The Future Belongs to Islam.

The article in dispute is an excerpt from Steyn’s bestselling book America Alone: The End of the World as We Know It. Consider the implications: By the logic of the CIC’s attack on Maclean’s magazine, the owners and operators of Canadian libraries and bookstores could also be charged with violating the human rights of Muslims by making not just Steyn’s article but also his entire book widely available to Canadians throughout the country.

Frankly this is the kind of nonsense that we warned about here in BitsBlog when ‘hate speech’ laws started showing up. such laws have the singular effect of squashing any debate on a given subject.  That would seem to fly in the face of freedom of speech. But look who else is climbing on with the Canadian Islamic Congress:

The labor unions.

In attacking Maclean’s magazine, the CIC is not acting alone. It has the support of the Ontario Federation of Labour. In a statement backing the CIC, OFL executive vice-president Terry Downey said: “We want to make sure there’s dignity and respect for all individuals in the province.”

That the leaders of the CIC and the OFL betray such contempt for freedom of the press is lamentable, but not altogether surprising. It might be supposed, though, that at least the human rights commissioners of Canada — the purported guardians of our historic rights and freedoms — would summarily reject the CIC’s complaints against Maclean’s.

But not so. At a news conference in Toronto on Tuesday, Faisal Joseph, CIC legal counsel, confirmed that the British Columbia Human Rights Tribunal has accepted the CIC’s complaint and scheduled hearings in the case for June 2-6, 2008. Likewise, the Canadian Human Rights Commission has accepted the CIC complaint, while the chronically dithering Ontario Human Rights Commission has yet to decide whether it will pursue the matter or not. What has gone wrong? How could such a gross violation of freedom of the press occur in Canada — a country that used to have one of the best records in the world for respecting human rights and fundamental freedoms?

Well, that’s what happens when you elect a labor government.

And it’s not like you were never warned about it.

I also note (By way of Stanley Kurtz) that David Warren is also defending Stein, by way of calling for an end to Human Rights Commissions.

For more than twenty years, in this column and elsewhere, I have been writing against the human rights commissions, which have quasi-legal powers that should be offensive to the citizens of any free country. They are kangaroo courts, in which the defendant’s right to due process is withdrawn. They reach judgments on the basis of no fixed law. Moreover, “the process is the punishment” in these star chambers — for simply by agreeing to hear a case, they tie up the defendant in bureaucracy and paperwork, and bleed him for the cost of lawyers, while the person who brings the complaint, however frivolous, stands to lose nothing.

Warren has got this one nailed correctly, of course.

But make no mistake… all of this is about the agenda of the far left, world wide.  For the sake of nothing less than freedom, these attacks must be defeated.

But, hey, Canada… and in particular, Ontario… and the remainder of themore liberal provinces… isn’t it about time you steopped leaning left, stopped electing the labor party, and those even farther left, (Such as the NDP) and started supporting real freedom?

COUPLES who have more than two children should be charged a lifelong tax to offset their extra offspring’s carbon dioxide emissions, a medical expert says.

The report in an Australian medical journal called for parents to be charged $5000 a head for every child after their second, and an annual tax of up to $800.

Walters’ idea is hardly novel, but only 178 years old.

Well, I’d venture a guess that about half the people reading it are Democrats.  That seems important to me…if nothing else an indication that the Democrats are desperate to remove her from the equation.

The New York Times , via Memeorandum, reports that Mrs. Clinton’s campaign is looking for dirt on Barack Obama.

If there was any question whether Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton’s campaign was concerned about the rise of Senator Barack Obama, here is a fresh example: A deputy campaign manager for Mrs. Clinton sent an e-mail yesterday, trying to find out about Mr. Obama’s background as a community organizer in Chicago.

If Mrs. Clinton wants to find dirt, all she needs to is to look in her mirrror.   Stuart Taylor, Jr, National Review, via Lucianne:

Hillary Rodham Clinton is supposed to be smart. But how smart is it for a woman with such a bad reputation for truthfulness and veracity to put those character traits at the center of the campaign?

The man who shot up a training center for missionaries and a church in suburban Denver, killing four people and wounding a number of others, has been identified:

A law enforcement official says the deadly rampages at a megachurch and a missionary training school were believed to have been carried out by the same person—Matthew Murray, a 24-yeare-old suburban Denver man who “hated Christians.”

It is perhaps worth noting that the toll in Sunday’s shootings exceeded the combined total in all “hate crimes” against Muslims in the six years since September 11.

Yeah, no kidding.  Well, don’t say that too loud. And for pity’s sake, don’t mention his suicide note said he was about killing as many Christians as possible.
