This Convoy is not just for the truckers mandates.

It’s for the family members banned from visiting family in nursing homes.

It’s for the censorship on all social media platforms.

It’s for all the people afraid to speak in fear of being called conspiracy theorists.

It’s for the people who didn’t want to give up their freedom of choice!

It’s for the people who don’t want to give up their right to bear arms.

It’s for the people who don’t want to be in debt for the next 100 years.

It’s for the people who only want answers to the many questions that haven’t been answered.

It’s for the people afraid to hug their family and visit friends.

It’s for the people who want their lives back.

For the hairdressers to cut hair.

For the restaurants to serve food.

For the bars to play music.

For the students to learn.

For the kids to be free.

For people who want to work but are forced not to.

THIS IS FOR THE PEOPLE!

This is for trying to silence honest and hardworking citizens.

Never in my life have I ever seen the healthy punished and the sick untreated.

This is for the 300,000 surgeries cancelled.

This is for the people that died waiting for their surgery.

This is for the people who died alone in the hospital without being able to hold the hands of their loved ones.

This is for the exhausted nurses, teachers, parents etc.

This is for the doctors that are going unheard.

This is for all the front line workers, delivery trucks, grocery store clerks, PSWs who are constantly working overtime etc.

This is for all of us.

👌 If you do not support the truckers, IT’S OKAY because:

If mandates get lifted I would like to remind you…. you can still stay home. No one will rip the mask off your face, no one will force you to dine in at a restaurant, you can drop your children off at their leisure activity and wait in your car, you can still say no to family gatherings and events, you can live within your 4 walls and NO ONE will stop you. We will not judge you for your choice – we will just be glad you have one. That is the point of FREEDOM of choice! While you’re comfortable where you are we are also comfortable moving on with our lives.

Sincerely
A member of the small fringe minority with unacceptable views 👌🏼

I’m going to go slightly off the track for this blog here.

The subject of 10cc and their hit record “I’m not in love” from 1975 came up elsewhere this morning.

Of itself it’s a great song, but the use of the technology of the time… technology relatively primitive though it was, enabled them to make 500 and some odd voices from the four voices in the band. That produced a legendary sound that eclipsed anything else the band had done, and in fact eclipse just about everything else produced that year musically.

It’s interesting that this record was produced just about the same time that Queens Bohemian Rhapsody was released… Both multitrack masterpieces.

But now, think about trying to make that record with today’s technology. They probably would have taken those four voices recorded them into a metafile and then run it through a keyboard to achieve the same idea.

The thing is though, it would not have been the same sound. Granted that the sounds produced could have been similar but not the same. The difference is in the recording would be subtle but it would take on an entirely different character.

The reason for the difference in character? I suspect a lot of it has to do with the amount of care required to piece together something like this in 1975 versus 2022. I know for example that the band suggested they did nothing but record note tracks for 3 days to produce the sound you hear on I’m not in love.

I’d like you to consider also the case of Isao Tomita who recorded a collection of the music of Claude Debussy in 1968. Keep in mind the very primitive nature of the instruments that he’s playing in 1968. Bob Moog had just started producing his instrument which was only capable of OneNote one voice at a time. The recording offered here and the rest of that album collectively took 3 years to produce on the equipment of the day and is done in pure multitrack.

s an aside did you see was noted as frequently complaining about the limited range of sounds he could make with the standard orchestra. I have often wondered what he would have thought of this recording which contains sounds that until 1968 nobody ever heard before, and literally took years to produce.

On the strength of that album, Tomita, was contracted for and released several other albums over the years, all of which were excellent but none had the same sound.

Jeff Lynne of the Electric Light Orchestra is another example. Compare the sounds of some of his earlier work say, Face the Music or Out of the Blue, and compare it to the sound of Balance of Power. He remarked at one point, with words to the effect that it would have been a lot easier to produce some of the sounds he made on his earlier works if the technology had been more like what we have now. But I suggest the opposite is true. Even with the smaller changes in technology, the sounds of each of those recordings is quite different. Both superlative work, but the sound changed, if only in a subtle manner.

Is it the amount of care and patience required to produce the desired sound, while using the older technology? Looking in the other direction, our auto tune and all the other studio tricks that we’ve picked up over the last 50 years making today’s music less satisfying?

Is there a larger point to be made here? They’re probably is, but I haven’t managed to cast it into words yet

If we are to judge by his actions, Joe Biden apparently believes that ivermectin is more dangerous than crack cocaine. But you know, at the very least we can all rest assured that Hunter Biden is set for life for his chosen recreational activities.

Of course, as soon as the news broke, the Biden administration went full press on labeling these reports as the now hackneyed word “mis-information”, which loosely translated, comes out “information that is damaging to Democrats”. As if anyone believes those claims anymore. The fact is, the Biden administration buckled under the pushback from people like Kennedy here, who will undoubtedly be called a racist because when the administration originally proposed it, he invoked Black History month. Because as we all know, only black people do crack. Right, Hunter?

And Democrats are still wondering why the infrastructure bill doesn’t have a hope in hell of passing

The data surrounding covid-19 didn’t change.

The politics did.

I’m telling you true… politicians fear of the American people… fear is the only thing that’s going to keep government in its constitutional box.

When the people fear government, there is tyranny. Where the government fears the people, there is Liberty.

The Afghanistan withdrawal is example one of the disaster that is the Biden administration.

To begin with I offer this

My friends, I don’t think I can offer any more solid proof of the lack of concern among leftists for actual workers, then what we see going on in Canada right now.

Tucker Carlson does a fairly decent job of laying this one out so I’ll let him do it

So once again I asked the question as I did earlier today are the masked mandates and vaccination mandates disappearing because of the virus is going away or are those mandates disappearing because the power grabbers see the torches and pitchforks coming down the road?

And as Carlson points out, there is deep irony in all of this. The very same people who were suggesting we should resist government at all costs just 3 years ago, are now demanding absolute unquestioning compliance. My friends, that’s a clue.

Remember when the people fear the government there is tyranny. When the government fears the people, there is freedom. In reality that’s what we’re seeing right now is governments retreating in fear. Has anybody seen Justin Trudeau lately, at all? He went into hiding the moment the convoy showed up..

Does anybody suppose that there is a hope in hell for Justin Trudeau and his government after Canadians of witnessed what’s going on in Ottawa right now? Does anyone suppose that there is a hope in hell for the Democrats to survive the next couple of election rounds without suffering a bloodbath of biblical proportions?

Meantime keep a close eye on what’s going on in Ottawa. Or as we call it now, the Gulf of Honkin’.

So now we see state governments backing down on masking requirements, as well as vaccination requirements.

To my mind a very large question is are they backing down because the virus is going away, or are they backing down because they see the torches and pitchforks coming up the road?

Over at pjm, Stacy Lennox says:

EcoHealth Alliance CEO Peter Daszak just got another taxpayer-funded windfall. Instead of being deposed regarding his firm’s work at the Wuhan Institute of Virology, he is receiving a new pile of cash from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). The new award gives EcoHealth Alliance $4,675,023 for a five-year project in Liberia, on the continent of Africa. USAID awarded the funding well after serious questions surfaced about EcoHealth Alliance’s coronavirus research. There are ample concerns about whether those activities violated the Obama administration’s ban on gain-of-function research even if they did not create the SARS-CoV-2 virus.
Which, of course, they did.

The problem is, so long as the Democrats are in charge in Washington, these crimes against humanity will never be investigated, much less be investigated as such.

And personally I’d be interested in knowing who it is signing off on these grants.

If you’re not angry about all these people still being on the wrong side of the iron bars, you’re not paying attention.

The left has spent the last 5 years worrying about the state of our democracy… At least that’s what they say.

Well first of all, we don’t have a democracy, we have a representative republic.

That point aside, when you have a democracy, the leadership basically does what the people want. With that in mind I’m going to ask you to seriously consider something…Look closely at the Delta between what the people actually want by the polling data that we’ve been seeing and what the elites are forcing on us.

But there was a clue, in that rather disastrous press conference Joe Biden gave last month, in which he repeatedly made reference to the idea that the election in the upcoming midterms and for that matter the next presidential election was not going to be “free and fair” .

In other words the Democrats are deathly afraid that they’re going to lose by huge margins basically reducing the Democrat party to the status of also ran for the next generation or two.

You see, it’s not the state of the democracy they’re worried about even if such a thing existed in this country, but the state of the Democrat party.

I have spent the last 30 years watching people younger than I trying to rewrite history to make it more comfortable for the left.

With all of that, there is one thing that I’m quite certain of.

That rewrite will be missing punctuation, it will be misspelled, and it will be missing the truth.

And by the way, rewriting history is not history, nor is it factual. It is, however, psychology.

Consider the spectacle of Peppermint Patty calling other people unAmerican when it’s clear that the party she represents, hates America.

And since when is eliminating free speech, and American ideal? I guess that’s only when Democrats are in power that you can’t speak against the government.

I can’t think of a clearer indication that the Democrats don’t have a logical argument to support their actions.

I noticed a picture in my Facebook feed yesterday of Andrew Cuomo signing an abortion bill. I don’t even remember what the context of the picture being posted was. But it occurred to me that it was supremely ironic that Andrew Cuomo didn’t last a full term either.
