This kind of nonsense is why I stopped taking The Atlantic seriously several years ago. Even at it’s worst, CNN never quite got this stupid. MSNBC did, but that’s another matter.
Tucker Carlson gets this one exactly right. We’ve seen it all too often before. Protect the bureaucracy at the expense of the country.
In many ways Canada is the canary in the coal mine for these United States. Listen carefully to what these people are saying.
Over at Hot Air, they notice a change coming over the Southern California Democrats.
As Hot Air says… Beginning to lose the trust?
That trust started going away when the American people saw Democrats basically supporting the BLM riots that we put up with for years. The numbers on that trust have been going down ever since.
That Democrats support a violence cost the Democrats more dearly than they are yet aware of. The American people had their suspicions confirmed when as soon as the Democrats attained the White House, all the rioting stopped, and what conservatives have been saying about those riots for years now ended up being the only logical conclusion to draw. The purpose of those riots was not to improve the state of Black America, but to put Democrats in power.
Tell me, what specifically has been done to improve the state of Black America in the last year since the Democrats attained that power? The obvious answer is, absolutely nothing. The Democrats you see dropped that tool rather hastily once it achieved its actual purpose.
That black Americans are still willing to support Democrats at all much less to the degree they do, is bewildering.
But the tide is turning. America is a whole has started to wake up. And when you see Democrats admitting that they might have overreached, that’s a good indication.
Within the last year we have watched a shameful withdrawal from Afghanistan, an acquiescence to China and to Russia, and the fiscal policy that has made us weak to a degree we can’t even fathom yet.
This last year has seen an unprecedented opening of our Southern border causing not only security issues but financial hardship for American citizens.
And now just across our northern border we see the deterioration and the elimination of individual rights, due process, freedom of speech and any other established code in the West for the purposes of government maintaining its power… Or perhaps more correctly certain people who currently have government power to hang on to it. And america, traditionally a stalwart defender of individual freedom, human rights and so on, under the current leadership will do absolutely nothing.
Again I remind you for many generations America has stood up for these values wherever they needed standing up for. But this government’s actions both at home and abroad are making it clear that our government will no longer do so at least so long as the current administration is in power.
Joe Biden and the Democrats are making a lot of noises just now about defending democracy in the Ukraine but will not take any action 100 miles to our North.
At the center of this in Canada is Fidel Castro’s kid. We have a rule of law, he says. Joe Biden of course says the same thing.
Really?
If I recall correctly the root word of police comes from the French word which loosely translated means the power of the people. Clearly, that’s no longer true in Canada, and the best indication of that is people in uniform breaking the law trying to silence political opposition, acting more like the Gestapo than law enforcement in a free country. Rather than rule of law we have the rule of one man, effectively a dictator.
We are about to see a test of whether or not we still have rule of law and not of men in these United states, as the freedom convoy rumbles towards DC, and we have no reason to believe that it’s not going to go down precisely the same way here.
How’s that going to go down? What’s my prediction for it? I think we need look no further than the shameful withdrawal from Afghanistan the unprecedented opening of the Southern border and our lack of response to Russian incursions in the Ukraine.
My friends it’s no accident that Vladimir Putin waited until Joe Biden was in the White House to make his move. Vladimir Putin is a number of things but an idiot he is not.
From these we know that Joe Biden is no friend of freedom, human rights, individualism, and for that matter the America that we grew up with. Vladimir Putin knows it as well.
And therefore Biden’s not going to respond to the deterioration and destruction of those things in Canada, despite, and I stress this, despite the Canadian people if not the Canadian government having been our friend and Ally, pretty much since we became a country.
At the end of the day this is all about government types protecting themselves from the will of the people, trying desperately to hang on to power.
Another indication of this would be a direct comparison. Epstein sold kids. Raped them. He never lost access to Banks. He never had his funds shut off by government. You know who did? The guys in the freedom convoy, and Mike Lindell that pillow guy.
And from all of that I think we have clear indication of what’s going to happen with the freedom convoy now headed for Washington DC. Anyone who dares stand up for individual freedom gets set upon by ‘the rule of law”.
Mind you, I hope I’m wrong, but I doubt it
We heard so much from the lefties about what Putin could get away with while Trump was president yet nothing happened. He did, however, annex Crimea while The Lightbringer was in office and now he’s acting up again while Obama’s idiot legacy is in office.
My friends it’s no accident that Putin waited until there was a weak Democrat in the White House to play this game.
Of course it’s not just the Biden administration’s international bungling, it’s also domestic policy:
The way to deal with Putin of course is to shut off the flow of money for Russian oil by producing it here in the states. But that option is sacrificed on the altar of global warming. It doesn’t matter that everybody else is going to be getting their oil from everywhere else. Global warming only happens when oil from the United States is burned, right, Democrats?

The liberal media won’t admit it, but the reason Russian forces are entering Ukraine can be explained in two words—Joe Biden. In fact, thanks to Biden, the U.S. is paying for the Russian invasion. His energy policy of reducing American production, stopping the almost completed keystone pipelines, no drilling on federal lands, new regulation regarding oil and gas drilling, and much more spiked the price of energy. For example, in 2020 the price of natural gas was $4.36/1,000 cubic feet, 2021 prices averaged $9/1,000 cubic feet.
Before Biden became President, the U.S. was energy independent and an exporter of energy. The lower American production and removing Trump’s restrictions on the Nordstream natural gas pipeline from Russia to Germany. His policies made other countries more reliant on Russian gas. Giving Putin leverage on other countries such as Germany and doubling the price. All that extra money went straight into Russia’s pockets. Those new profits helped Russia raise the funds to continue Putin’s dream of the greater Russia of the USSR.
On top of the higher prices and the increased dependence on Russian energy, the mishandling of the Afghan withdrawal and removing some of the Iran sanctions showed Biden to be a weak President. Putin is no idiot. All of Biden’s flawed policies and feeble foreign policy made the Russian president understand that if he was ever going to get Ukraine back in Russia’s clutches, this was it.
It would be easier, (being a far shorter list) if we were to study what the Biden administration has done correctly. You could list everything he’s done right, in one breath. In fact, about the only thing that the man can do correctly, involves licking an ice cream cone on command. Then again, I know of a number of dogs that can do that.
And those trucks are rumbling toward DC as we speak. Personally, I figure that Biden will make Fidel Castro’s kid look like a genius comparatively, but time will tell there.
Contrary to the belief that was popular among Democrats for 30 years anyway Rush Limbaugh did not tell people what to think. That was not at all what the show was about. That is not why he was popular.
His true gift was that he was able to identify the mood of the majority of the country and to cast it into words on a level that nobody else could touch, even assuming they wanted to.
Lack of that ability, on networks such as Err America for example, and the rather ghastly shows like Mario Cuomo, (you may not remember he actually had a talk show for a while which failed miserably…. It’s death was far slower than it deserved.)
These failed because they failed to tap into what America was really thinking and instead tried to tell them what to think. The value signaling was a complete turnoff to the American people and the shows and networks suffered for it, and I think correctly.
Most of you are aware that I spent a few years behind the microphone, myself. From that experience I am fully cognizant of the amount of show prep required to do a successful show much less the kind of wildly successful shows he turned in day after day for 30 years.
Speaking personally, I am forever grateful to Donald Trump for having honored him at the State of the Union speech a couple years back. The look of gratitude on Rush Limbaugh’s face and on Catherine’s said it all to me.
There is certainly a great deal more about the man that can be said but I will resist that urge strong as it is.
Rush, you started something that cannot be stopped. In ever-increasing numbers people are standing up on their hind legs and demanding limitations on government and increased individual freedom. And if you look around, it’s gone worldwide.
And my friends that is Rush Limbaugh’s legacy.
Imagine for a moment that a young man wearing a MAGA hat walked into the campaign headquarters of a mayoral candidate in an American city, pulled out a gun, and started shooting. Imagine that he came so close to assassinating the candidate that a bullet grazed the man’s sweater. And now imagine that the shooter’s bail was set at only $100,000, and a group of white supremacists raised his bail and put him back on the street within a couple of days.
Would that be national news? Would you be able to turn on CNN or MSNBC at any hour of the day without hearing about it? Would it be presented as further evidence of what’s really wrong with America?
Okay, maybe it’s possible you don’t understand what the reference here is. Well, here you go:
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (TND) — A man who is charged with the attempted murder of a mayoral candidate in Louisville is no longer in jail after a local Black Lives Matter chapter teamed up with a community bail fund to post his bail.
And Jim is exactly correct. None of the mainstream media has comparatively touched on this… but you know as well as I do they would have gone wall to wall with it had the situations been reversed as he described.
And the media still wonders why nobody believes them anymore. Nobody trusts them.
And I still want to know where BLM got the money from.. where are the hackers breaking into GoFundMe, on this event?
But there’s a huge difference between legitimate scrutiny of a member of the court versus leaning into despicable and dated racial/gender stereotypes as a basis for one’s “argument” for or against one, and the Washington Post definitely crossed the line into the latter in a Wednesday report in which they all but used the term “Uncle Tom” to describe Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas.
“Nobody that I’m aware of feels that opposing Clyburn’s nomination would be the wise thing to do,” [Rep. Bennie Thompson (D-Miss.)] said. “If you know that a person has been vetted by Jim Clyburn, you know that person won’t go to the court and end up being a Clarence Thomas,” referring to the Black justice whose rulings often resemble the political thinking of White conservatives.
Keep in mind that this wasn’t an opinion piece nor an editorial. This was ostensibly a “straight news” report that strongly insinuated that a black conservative Justice was a traitor to his race.
This is on a level of Joe Biden saying “if you don’t know who to vote for you ain’t black”. It is simply the most recent egregious example in a long list of such.
Essentially what we have here is the left using it’s racism to gain power for the left under the guise of denouncing racism. But I tell you this…
For every George Floyd, for every Trayvon Martin, etc etc I can give you a Candace Owens, a Walter Williams, a Clarence Thomas, a Thomas Sowell, a Ben Carson, a Shelby Steele, a David Webb, a David Dorn. The list goes on and on, but you get the idea.
What’s the difference between them? Why is this latter group successful in our society, and in our unhyphenated American culture? Because they actually decided to join it.
And for this, the left denounces them as not being real black people.
For the last few years we’ve been sitting back and watching our cities burn at the hands of BLM whose strings were being pulled by the far left, because the left believed and still does to this day that those riots benefited them politically.
If that connection seems outrageous to you, ask yourself, why did the riots stop the moment the Democrats got what they wanted, which is to say, power?
And yet, what of the lives of black Americans has changed for the better in the last year? Not a blessed thing. In fact, things have gotten worse.
And why have things not changed? Why have the promises made been forgotten?
Because as always, the left dropped the tool as soon as it had served its purpose. The Democrats have been playing Black Americans for fools for years and a goodly number of them, some of which are listed above, have long since started to catch on.
Pinch Sulzburger has been trying for decades now to tatrnish the name of Clarence Thomas for the crime of actually being a conservative…. so this Washington Post thing is simply more of the same.

The fact that he can’t get around however is that Justice Thomas is our longest serving supreme Court Justice these days and an absolutely brilliant jurist.
The fact of the matter is, the left does not want to solve racial issues. The worst thing that you can do to a leftist is actually solve a problem, because once you do they lose their ability to demagogue it as the Democrats have been demagoguing race since the 60s… and I mean the 1860s. If this is an example, the left has never switched sides. We can only hope that the majority of Black America catches onto this.
Come to think of it it’s probably the most logical conclusion to draw based on what we know now.
They’re not even bothering to try to hide their corruption anymore. They’re just desperate to hang on to their power.
* It’s easy enough to say that the disaster that is what the Democrats have done to this country in the last 6 years is the result of one screw up after another, it would certainly be easy to lay the blame at the feet of Joe Biden for imperfectly implementing liberal policies. It’s too easy in fact. As with most answers that are too easy, it also isn’t true. The fact is the Democrats have been such a disaster because the last few years, and particularly the last year and a half has seen liberal Democrats wish lists for policies perfectly applied.
* If you want proof that the government elites, particularly the leftists, protect their own, look no further than the fact that the list of clientele at Epstein’s pedophile Island has been quashed. Maxwell may serve time but all of the leftist elite that showed up there that had sex with minors are still free to go about their lives and telling us about how immoral we are because we don’t wear a mask.
* And speaking of that, we can also look no further than the fact that Anthony Fauci hasn’t yet been indicted for a couple of million counts of involuntary manslaughter. I mean, whose good idea was it to cooperate with the Communist Chinese on what the Communists would certainly be viewing as biological weapons research? I mean, the protests and the speaking out at board of education meetings about the government’s handling of covid-19 problems are all well and good, but let’s not lose sight of the fact that this was a government created virus, the government illegally created this. Now whether it simply leaked out of that we’ll have lab or was intentionally released we can discuss later. But let’s not lose sight of who is responsible for the creation of this monster.
Allison Gollust, the chief marketing officer at CNN, has resigned from the network following corporate parent WarnerMedia’s investigation into “issues associated with Chris Cuomo and former Governor Andrew Cuomo,” according to a memo from Jason Kilar, the company’s CEO.
“Performed by a third-party law firm and led by a former federal judge, the investigation was comprehensive and definitive. It was commissioned in September and concluded this weekend, which now allows me to share additional information with you,” Kilar said. “Based on interviews of more than 40 individuals and a review of over 100,000 texts and emails, the investigation found violations of Company policies, including CNN’s News Standards and Practices, by Jeff Zucker, Allison Gollust, and Chris Cuomo.”
Wait… what?
Violation of standards? Who knew that CNN had standards? They obviously never affected the output of that fetid swamp. Or perhaps the discrepancies are explained by the difference between written standards and what actually happens. Much has been written about that delta, to the point where it’s now fully identified and in fact, axiomatic.

I find the word “retaliation”amusing, because I keep hearing rumblings that she was the one that Zucker supposedly had the “consensual relationship” with. I suspect, based on this, that the details are going to get juicier as the various factions up the ante.
It should be said that CNN’s problems neither start with Gollust, nor did they end there. The place is still circling the drain. Nobody, and I mean nobody is buying their product anymore. There is no reason to think that the amount of leftist pollution involved with that organization is going to change now.
Their demise can’t happen fast enough.

Increasingly people are finding that the leftist narrative has never been true. that explains the 15% or so approval rating for Justin Trudeau as an example, and an approval rating here in the states of around 30% for Joe Biden and the Democrats.
That dissatisfaction is being acted upon at this point. What we are seeing is the total impotence of the ruling class. Which is as it should be, this is America after all.
Americans are becoming what they should have been all along, ungovernable. We are citizens, not subjects. That point is increasingly being driven home of late and that’s why the supposed “science”is changing.
In truth, it’s not the science that’s changing, it’s that the supposed leadership has noticed the torches and pitchforks coming up the road. And they haven’t a bloody clue as to what to do about it.
In searching for cross reference material I came across this from Tucker Carlson and he says it well.
Does anybody think there’s a snowballs chance of this not spilling over to the midterms? And that’s why these people are terrified. They know they’re going to lose their power.
