Swastika Burned Into Grass On Bush-Cheney Supporter’s Lawn

WISC-TV says

“Someone burned an 8-foot-by-8-foot Nazi swastika on a home’s lawn near where Bush-Cheney signs were posted. The vandals used grass killer to spray the symbol.”

Ah, yes, those loving, open-minded Democrats.

Have I got that right?”

Ummmm…. yeah.

This would end the argument were we dealing with sane people. But we’re dealing with liberals desperate to follow John Kerry’s claim that there was no AQ/Saddam connection.

Boortz this morning tells a tale which should shake the left to it’s shoes. It won’t, but it should.

“Do you remember that Mosque in Najaf where Moqtada al-Sadr was holed up for weeks?  Al-Sadr’s goons were firing mortars at American troops from inside that Mosque .. but American troops showed restraint and never stormed the place.  Finally Shiite cleric Ali al-Sistani, the most powerful Muslim cleric in Iraq, told al Sadr to clear out.

Now we have learned while al-Sadr was hiding in his Mosque his Islamic goons were quite busy.  Their assignment was to kidnap dozens of women and children and bring them into the Mosque.  There they would be murdered.  I think it’s possibly safe to say that many of the women were possibly raped before, maybe after, they were murdered.  When al-Sistani ordered them out, Al Sadr and his gang of murderers left the bodies of the women and children inside the Mosque.

So … what was the purpose?  The Islamic killers fully expected American troops to storm the Mosque to get to them.  When that happened, and after the smoke cleared, the innocent and peace-loving followers of Al Sadr would be able to show the bodies of innocent women and children who were killed in the brutal U.S. assault on this place of holy worship.  Clever plan … didn’t work.”

Do you begin to understand the level of cold-heartedness he’s describing here? Do you begin to understand what the west is up against with these thugs?

And do you begin to understand what that says about the press in this country? Al-Sadr’s thugs understand that the press will happily mouth the anti-western view that the US was totally responsible for the lives of all those women and kids being lost. And it would have been all over the press this morning. And you can bet that John Kerry would have been using this as a campaign wedge.

As it is, because it doesn’t make the US, and particularly, President Bush, look bad, I’m willing to bet this is the first you’ve heard of ANY of this.
And that raises the question; which is colder; Al-Sadr’s thugs, or the leftists?

The other day, my nine year old son wanted to know why we were at war. My husband looked at our son and then looked at me. My husband and I were in the Army during the Gulf War and we would be honored to serve and defend our Country again today. I knew that my husband would give him a good explanation.

My husband thought for a few minutes and then told my son to go stand in our front living room window. He told him: “Son, stand there and tell me what you see?”

“I see trees and cars and our neighbor’s houses.” he replied.

“OK, now I want you to pretend that our house and our yard is the United States of America and you are President Bush.”

Our son giggled and said “OK.”

“Now son, I want you to look out the window and pretend that every house and yard on this block is a different country” my husband said.

“OK Dad, I’m pretending.”

“Now I want you to stand there and look out the window and see that man come out of his house with his wife and he has her by the hair and is hitting her. You see her bleeding and crying. He hits her in the face, he throws her on the ground, then he starts to kick her to death.

Their children run out and are afraid to stop him, they are crying, they are watching this but do nothing because they are kids and afraid of their father. You see all of this son…. what do you do?”

“Dad?”

“What do you do son?”

“I call the police, Dad.”

“OK. Pretend that the police are the United Nations and they take your call, listen to what you know and saw but they refuse to help. What do you do then son?”

“Dad, but the police are supposed to help!” My son starts to whine.

“They don’t want to son, because they say that it is not their place or your place to get involved and that you should stay out of it,” my husband says.

“But Dad…he killed her!!” my son exclaims.

“I know he did…but the police tell you to stay out of it. Now I want you to look out that window and pretend you see our neighbor who you’re pretending is Saddam turn around and do the same thing to his children.”

“Daddy…he kills them?”

“Yes son, he does. What do you do?”

“Well, if the police don’t want to help, I will go and ask my next door neighbor to help me stop him.” our son says.

“Son, our next door neighbor sees what is happening and refuses to get involved as well He refuses to open the door and help you stop him,” my husband says.

“But Dad, I NEED help!!! I can’t stop him by myself!!”

“WHAT DO YOU DO SON?” Our son starts to cry.

“OK, no one wants to help you, the man across the street saw you ask for help and saw that no one would help you stop him. He stands taller and puffs out his chest.
Guess what he does next son?”  “What Daddy?”

“He walks across the street to the old ladies house and breaks down her door and drags her out, steals all her stuff and sets her house on fire and then…he kills her. He turns around and sees you standing in he window and laughs at you. WHAT DO YOU DO?”

“Daddy…”

“WHAT DO YOU DO?”

Our son is crying and he looks down and he whispers, “I close the blinds, Daddy.”

My husband looks at our son with tears in his eyes and asks him… “Why?”

“Because Daddy…..the police are supposed to help..people who needs it….and they won’t help….You always say that neighbors are supposed to HELP neighbors, but they won’t help either…they won’t help me stop him…I’m afraid….I can’t do it by myself ..Daddy….I can’t look out my window and just watch him do all these terrible things and…and…..do nothing…so….I’m just going to close the blinds…so I can’t see what he’s doing……..and I’m going to pretend that it is not happening.”

I start to cry.

My husband looks at our nine year old son standing in the window, looking pitiful and ashamed at his answers to my husbands questions and he tells him….”Son”

“Yes, Daddy.”

“Open the blinds because that man…. he’s at your front door…”WHAT DO YOU DO?”

My son looks at his father, anger and defiance in his eyes. He balls up his tiny fists and looks his father square in the eyes, without hesitation he says: “I DEFEND MY FAMILY DAD!! I’M NOT GONNA LET HIM HURT MOMMY OR MY SISTER, DAD!!! I’M GONNA FIGHT HIM, DAD, I’M GONNA FIGHT HIM!!!!!”

I see a tear roll down my husband’s cheek and he grabs my son to his chest and hugs him tight, and cries…”It’s too late to fight him, he’s too strong and he’s already at YOUR front door son…..you should have stopped him BEFORE he killed his wife You have to do what’s right, even if you have to do it alone, before… ..it’s too late.” my husband whispers.

John Kerry calls our actions in Iraq a mistake.
But we as Americans know it was not. When good men stand by and let evil happen is the greatest EVIL of all. Our President is doing what is right.

And John Kerry knows it.
But he won’t tell YOU that.

Outside The Beltway notes thta Newsweek has a poll posted that shows Kerry having revsersed his losing trends in the polling.

However, I note that nobodt else has come up with a poll that supports the numbers presented by “NewsWeak”. And as James notes, Newsweek traditionally has…

Personally, I’m not concerned in the least. Ah, well. Let’s let ’em think they’re winning.

The left has been saying for years that taking out Saddam was all about oil. As it turns out, the exact opposite is true. As usual, the left has it exactly wrong.
Says the Times Online today:

“A LEAKED report has exposed the extent of alleged corruption in the United Nations’ oil-for-food scheme in Iraq, identifying up to 200 individuals and companies that made profits running into hundreds of millions of pounds from it.
The report largely implicates France and Russia, whom Saddam Hussein targeted as he sought support on the UN Security Council before the Iraq war. Both countries were influential voices against UN-backed action.

The report says oil was given to key countries: “The regime gave priority to Russia, China and France. This was because they were permanent members of, and hence had the ability to influence decisions made by, the UN Security Council. The regime . . . allocated ‘private oil’ to individuals or political parties that sympathised in some way with the regime.”

…..”The other main allegations included in the report are that:

Benon Sevan, director of the UN oil-for-food programme, received 9.3m barrels of oil from the regime which he is estimated to have sold for a profit of £670,000. Sevan has always denied any improper conduct.

A former senior aide to Putin allegedly organised the sale of almost 4m barrels of oil at a profit of more than £330,000. At the time the oil was sold, Russia was blocking the UN from supporting America’s demands to attack Iraq. According to the report, the aide, who worked in the presidential office, received 3.9m barrels of oil between May and December 2002.

In the two months during the run-up to the war, the Iraqi regime illegally sold about £30m of oil to a Jordanian-based company with the money deposited in a Jordanian bank account established by the regime. This is suspected to have been an attempt to secure safe passage for Saddam’s family in the event of war.

A French oil company teamed up with the regime to bribe a UN-appointed inspector monitoring exports of Iraqi oil. The inspector, a Portuguese national working for Saybolt, a Dutch firm, was paid a total of £58,000 in cash to forge export documents.”

OK, so someone explain to me under those conditions how Mr. Kerry’s claim he would be able to enlist the help of France Gemrnay and the USSR carries any weight at all. 

The bottom line is that contrary to Mr. Kerry’s charge that Mr. Bush has turned his back on our old freinds… rather, they turned their backs on us. And now we have the evdience for it.

Do you suppose we’ll get an apology from Mr. Kerry anytime soon?

Howard “Duck” Dean killed off his chances for being elected by being staunchly anti-Military… even among his fellow Democrats. Rich Lowry at NRO argues that’s going to happen to John Kerry, mostly because of MOVEON and like un-minded groups.

Nice to see Dick Morris agree with my call on who won the Debate the other night… Kerry on style.. Bush on substance.

Seriously, I expect to see this brought into court someplace before too long.  We’ll see “coffee addicts” leveling multi-million dollar lawsuits. Hey the leftist wackos in Seattle couldn’t get Starbucks to quit any other way, why not sue the snot out of ’em?

Think I’m kidding, do you? Think; Isn’t that what we’ve been trying to do with restaurants of all stripes… (yes, including burger places) doughnut shops, candy makers, tobacco companies, computer makers (carpal-Tunnel, back troubles, eye problems, etc)….. And of course then we’ll get the “make recreational drugs legal” crowd trying to draw parallels between coffee and heroin….

I mean, at what point does this garbage quit?

And yes, that’s where this is really starting, guys. Someone smells money to be made off of someone’s suffering. Thing is, they need to invent the problem first.  This is invention. Mark this well; we’ll see the first lawsuit leveled on this crap (and I’m sorry, I have no kinder word for it) in two years or less.
