Have the Democrats Dumped the Black Voter Altogether?

InstaGlenn makes mention of a report in the Amsterdam News, regarding the AIR AMERICA takeover of WLIB, which basically dropped all the station’s black oriented talk shows.

“This is worse than a badge of slavery. It is cultural genocide. This want of outrage to cultural genocide on the part of Blacks is rooted in a lack of knowledge of our culture and our history. Dr. Carter G. Woodson described this malady in “The Miseducation of the Negro.””

Glenn goes on to suggest that:

“The whole piece is rather, um, overheated. But it suggests that Air America is doing some damage with a key constituency.”

Well, I dunno, Glenn, if it IS overheated. I am struck again by comments made by Franken yesterday, along with a story linked by Drudge today. The upshot seems to be that the DNC has finally written off the black voter.  They’re no longer concerned about them, even publicly.

Can this be a tacit admission that blacks are moving away form the Democrat party?
At the least this seems to be the Democrats taking black voters for granted.

Captain Ed over at The Captain’s Quarters has a new post up that refers to an NPR interview given by John Kerry today. In this interview, he describs the radical Islamist AlSadr, who is currently attacking American troops in Iraq as a “legitimate voice” who shouldn’t necessarily be arrested if encountered:

I used to have small nagging doubt about my opposition to Kerry.
All those doubts have just died a rather sudden death.

This guy must NOT be allowed anywhere near the White House.

Apparently, the 9/11 commission is now openly questioning Clarke’s credibility, even before Condi Rice takes her oath. The Washington Times is reporting that

“The September 11 commission will look at the discrepancy between the testimony of Richard A. Clarke that the Clinton administration considered the threat of al Qaeda “urgent” and its final national-security report to Congress, which gave the terror organization scant mention.

“We’re still taking evidence. We know that certain people say many things,” Mr. Felzenberg said. “It’s not at the point yet where we can resolve apparent contradictions … but we read all these reports with great interest. “

The Senate Hearings on the UN’s “Oil for food” corruption starts today. I’ve written about this 40 Billion Dollar scandal in the past. Interesting that most news outlets are ignoring it. The Wall Street Journal isn’t, though.

“WASHINGTON – More than 60% of U.S. corporations didn’t pay any federal taxes for 1996 through 2000, years when the economy boomed and corporate profits soared, Tuesday’s Wall Street Journal reported, citing the investigative arm of Congress.

The disclosures from the General Accounting Office are certain to fuel the debate over corporate tax payments in the presidential campaign. Corporate tax receipts have shrunk markedly as a share of overall federal revenue in recent years, and were particularly depressed when the economy soured. By 2003, they had fallen to just 7.4% of overall federal receipts, the lowest rate since 1983, and the second-lowest rate since 1934, federal budget officials say.”

So, does this mean, then that the whole Clinton boom was tied to corporate tax cuts… cuts he didn’t bother telling anyone about when listing how ‘great’ things were?

Will the Democrats ever get over the strain of it?

First of all, the concept of Teddy “hang a left off the next bridge” Kennedy calling George W. Bush a liar is laughable. or would be, were it not so tragic.

But ya gotta wonder what John F’ing Kerry and his band of idiots think about Mary Jo Kopekne being a campaign spokesperson.

Mary Jo is, after all, the ghost behind Mr Kennedy; the elephant in the room, if you will, causing crediblity issues with anyone connected with Mr Kennedy, and at the moment, this includes Mr. Kerry.

And speaking of the Botox Balloon, where’s he been of late?  Oh yeah, I keep forgetting; he’s hiding from the Clarke credibility fallout. Will he be hiding from Kennedy, too, I wonder? He should.

The Washington Times is reporting that:

” The final policy paper on national security that President Clinton submitted to Congress … 45,000 words long … makes no mention of al Qaeda and refers to Osama bin Laden by name just four times.
The scarce references to bin Laden and his terror network undercut claims by former White House terrorism analyst Richard A. Clarke that the Clinton administration considered al Qaeda an ‘urgent’ threat, while President Bush’s national security adviser, Condoleezza Rice, ‘ignored’ it. “

And so, Let’s see what we’ve got here, with Clarke.
We have someone who claims to be a Republican, but voted for Al Gore, and who, according to FEC records, only donated to democrats for the last 10 years, and someone who is best friends with Rand Beers, who is John Kerry’s advisor on national security affairs.

And now, we have the Clinton misadministration, who in their own words and descrinptions, and in direct contradiction to Clarke’s claims, clearly do not consider AlQuieda to be their ‘number one priority’.

Will the Democrats now admit they’ve been caught in another lie?

Perhaps now we know why Kerry disappeared so quickly in the last weeks… his people knew Clarke was going to blow up in their faces, and they also knew they had to shelter Kerry from the explosion.

Even for me, a guy who generally can’t be offended. “

As I’ve been saying a lot of late, and finding more and more proof of it; Pure hate motivates these idiots. Franken is proving it for us.

“Dodd said of Byrd, ‘You would have been a great senator at any moment….you would have been right at the founding of this country, right during the Civil War….I can’t think of a single moment in this nation’s 220+ year history where you would not have been a valuable asset to this country.’

Croooow pipes up and says:

You sure about that, Chris? Byrd, of course, was a Klansman at one moment in the nation’s history… Let’s see… Senator pays tribute to aged senator, and in the midst of ass-kissing, gives his blessing to said aged senator’s past racist acts. So where exactly is the mainstream press (or more than a handful of people, for that matter) on this?”

The silence form the left who were so offended by Lott’s speech, is deafening.

“Anyway, OPEC has hit back over the issue, and they nailed the issue cold.  The Saudi foreign affairs adviser, Adel Al-Jubeir said that the lack of refining capacity in the United States was the reason gas prices were rising.  ‘There has not been a refinery built in America in the last 20 years.  So if you produce more crude oil but you can’t refine it, it’s not going to translate into gasoline.’ He also said that environmental restrictions requiring special blends sold in different cities was driving up the price.  ‘Unless the U.S. begins to simplify this area, and unless the U.S. deals with its refining shortage, there will always be a problem with gasoline.’

So there you have it.  We’ve told you before: the hysteria over gas prices is a basic supply and demand issue.  Unless the anti-capitalistic environmentalists get out of the way and allow more refineries to be built, you will always have a shortage, and prices will increase during peak driving seasons.
And there’s nothing Senator Kerry or President Bush can do about it.  “

So, let’s get some refining capacity online, and let’s get the blends standardized across the country.
It’s the only way out of this box.
