Fallujah Killings Linked to Yassin’s Death (2 Apr 04) :: Radio Free USA :: Unflinching And Unembedded Independent News

Radio Free USA is reporting that:

“A previously unknown group has claimed responsibility for the the gruesome killing of four US contractors in Fallujah, western Iraq.

It said the action was in revenge for Israel’s assassination of Hamas leader Sheik Ahmed Yassin.”

It quotes the group’s statement thus:

“‘This is a gift from the people of Fallujah to the people of Palestine and the family of Sheik Ahmed Yassin who was assassinated by the criminal Zionists,’ said in the statement from the ‘Brigades of Martyr Ahmed Yassin’. “

Does anyone doubt that the “Palastinians’ are linked to the WWWOT?

On Sept. 11, 2001, National Security Adviser Condoleezza Rice was scheduled to deliver a speech outlining a Bush administration policy that would address the threats the United States faces. Butthe focus was largely on missile defense, not terrorism from Islamic radicals, the Post said.
The speech, which was never delivered because of the attacks, mentioned terrorism as one of the dangers from rouge nations such as Iraq rather than from the cells of extremists now considered the main security threat to the United States, the Post said. The text contained no mention of al Qaeda, Osama bin Laden or Islamic extremist groups. “

Funny how the US press is picking up and echoing the cry.

Only one problem; The speech she was supposed to be doing… the subject she was requested to speak on… was missle defense.

Alaska Governor Frank H. Murkowski’s office says:

The new areas to be offered for lease, exploration, and development are 670,000 acres of land off the coast of the NPR-A and more than 350,000 acres off the coast of ANWR. Toward that end, I have directed my Commissioner of Natural Resources, Tom Irwin, to open an immediate dialog with the residents of the North Slope. While the US House and Senate remain grid-locked over opening ANWR for oil development, I am not burdened with that process.

America should not be held hostage by Middle-East oil imports. Motorists should not have to pay more than $2 for a gallon of gasoline. Alaska oil, Alaska natural gas, can help balance the equation.

About time someone had the testicular fortitude to do this. Bravo.

The first thing I need to clean up is the “Others are saying” section. When I first started it, I had in it in mind as a way of saying thanks to those who had been kind enough to write with their encouragements. It’s getting too large for where I put it, though. I’ll figure something out.

I’ve also got to cut down a bit on the graphics for other websites. I can’t imagine that’s helping my bandwidth consumption, or page loading speed, which a couple folks have told me is an issue on dialups. I’ll be working on this, I promise.

It is the first time that the EU has judged its own funds to Palestine may not been used for their intended purpose.
The allegations relate to funds given by the EU directly to the Palestinian Authority account from June 2001 until December 2002.”

To my understanding and memory this is the first time they’ve admitted what we’ve been saying all along.

I have but two words for this attempt: Mario Cuomo.

For those who don’t recall the context, Cuomo had a highly touted radio show and was the greatest liberal orator of his time. But nobody liked his *ideas*, so the show tanked and was quietly pulled after 6 weeks.

Hindrocket over at Power Line seems to think Tom Daschle is history. Can’t say I’ll be sorry to see it, but I’ll wait for some more solid polling data to come in.

Bob Musil seems to agree with Hindrocket.

The Washington Times: reports from London that:

“Khalid Shaikh Mohammed, al Qaeda’s purported operations chief, has told U.S. interrogators that the group had been planning attacks on the Library Tower in Los Angeles and the Sears Tower in Chicago on the heels of the September 11, 2001, terror strikes.
Those plans were aborted mainly because of the decisive U.S. response to the New York and Washington attacks, which disrupted the terrorist organization’s plans so thoroughly that it could not proceed, according to transcripts of his conversations with interrogators. “

Now, Kerry and his followers are convinced military action was the wrong thing to do… even though Kerry voted for it.
Now now it’s revealed as exactly what was needed.

The more the truth about these events comes out, the more the left is on the opposite side of it.

According to FOXNews.com:

“WASHINGTON – The White House agreed Tuesday to let National Security Adviser Condoleezza Rice (search) publicly testify under oath before the commission investigating the Sept. 11, 2001, terror attacks on the United States.”

Bill Hobbs mentions this, as well and advises the Democrats, to “Be careful what you wish for.”

Indeed, Bill; I can’t imagine anything worse for them at this point.

Update: My reply to Bill Hobbs expands the point:

Can you imagine that anyone will NOT be aware of the situation and watching Rice as she testifies? I can’t help but wonder if this isn’t some masterful plan on the part of the WH; I can’t imagine any other series of events, save another attack on us, generating quite so much interest. Why would that be good? Rice, herself. The woman is unflapable.

2: And now that she’s got the spotlight, there’s no way in the world this is going to spin the Democrats’ way. Once she opens her mouth, it’s done.

Billy Beck over at Two–Four runs a Guardian story today that says in part:

“The French president, Jacques Chirac, woke up today to calls for a general election or dramatic cabinet shake-up after his centre-right government’s overwhelming defeat by the left in yesterday’s regional elections.

The resurgent Socialist party, combining forces with the Communists and the Greens, won 20 out of mainland France’s 22 regions, holding on to the eight it already ran and conquering 12 others.'”

Billy then goes on to say:

This is reaction..  …  ..Try to understand: these people are intent on preserving a government which is going to take care of them. They will not stand for a government that even hints at the idea that they will have to take care of themselves. The hard fact that it is simply not economically practicable (see von Mises — right now) will not dissuade them because they do not care for reality. They will persist in trying to find a way to make it work.

While I’m sure that is some of it (And Billy does a good job of describing the situation, RTWT)… I wonder a bit if there isn’t something even more sinister at work, here.. and I wonder too, at the result of it all, particularly for us here in the States.

Look at the lists of people defended by the French lawyer who is taking up Saddam’s case, both here, and here.

I look at those lists and can’t help but wonder a bit about this recent victory of the socialists in France… if it isn’t in fact a victory by the Islamofacists.  The connections between the far left and the Islamofacists is long known and undeniable. We know, for example, AlQuieda were involved in re-shaping the election in Spain, toward the socialists.

I don’t know the answer to these questions, but my gut tells me that we should start paying attention to where the socialists are getting their political money from, in these ostensibly western nations.  I suspect we’re going to find that a lot of the billions of dollars which went missing in Iraq… and money had from other places and groups by way of OPEC, will show up in the coffers of the socialists.

The ground is shifting, I think, and we’d best be watching our step. I hope I’m wrong about this. But I don’t know I’m not…. and that’s troubling.

Think on this for a moment; Is it an accident that the western countries with the highest percapita population of Ethnic Muslims, are those who lean toward socialism… France, for example, and the UK and Canada?
