First let’s establish the pattern.

Turns out that this shooting today is part of the pattern.  Yes, another transsexual shooter. Of course Gov. Gruesome opened up and posted….

“We cannot even make it through the first week of school without mass shootings.

And the @GOP will continue to do absolutely nothing while our kids are being gunned down.”

But the reality is this: He immediately gets on the internet and blames Republicans for a shooting that occurred in a Democrat city, in a Democrat state, and was committed by person who became mentally ill because of the gender ideology that Democrats support.

Can we make this any clearer for the Democrats in the back row?

So, now we see the Democrats being subjected to the same treatment…. and their response?

“This criminal crusade against political adversaries is completely unprecedented in, in, in all of American history.”

Ummm Yeah. Right.

Clearly, there are two messages being sent, here.
1. Republicans are evil and corrupt, so no prosecution of them could ever be false or malicious.

2. Democrats are good and pure, so any prosecution of them must be false or malicious.

I note Ed Morrissey this morning, wherein he’s waatching the annual Democrat party meeting, which is being held this year at Minneapolis, which the Democrats are going out of their way to point out their view that it is built on “Stolen land”.

Ed: Then why is the DNC holding its meetings there? Why not hold it in Boston? For that matter, the DFL has controlled Minnesota for almost two decades. Why not give the land back? Good luck appealing to the rest of the country with this woke nonsense.

Yes, indeed. Democrats need to keep pushing the abhorrent sludge.

Of course the point being made here by these creeps, is that we shouldn’t be declaring anyone as “illegal’. That POV was so ably demonstrated by the open borders we suffered under for the four years of Biden…(or whoever was actually running things). Look, the object of this is to destroy America. No nation can exist without borders.

Ed’s point about giving the land back is directly on point. Does anyone truly believe this nonsense, or is it, as I’ve long suspected, simply moral preening? Can you ever see that position ever winning over voters in majority?

Well, I suppose if you keep retelling the lie long enough, You might reach a tipping point…. After all it worked for Goebbels. That seems the central theme of so much of what Democrats are about, these days.

I hasten to add to that headline that he’s a Top Dem donor and Gavin Newsom backer, who raised $300 million by touting “Corporate ESG Business” based on fake revenue.

Daily Wire:

Joe Sanberg, a top California Democrat activist who decried the corruption of big Wall Street banks and started a company marketed as the “cleaner” alternative, actually propped that company up through blatant fraud, he admitted Thursday.

Sanberg and other high-profile Democrats started the carbon-credit platform and online banking app Aspiration Partners Inc., promising to plant trees and not invest in polluting industries. Its motto was “clean rich is the new filthy rich.” It was once a star of the “environmental, social, and governance (ESG)” movement that blended corporate finance with leftist politics, and counted actors Leonardo DiCaprio and Robert Downey Jr. as investors.

The guy is as dirty as the Democrat party itself.

But it was instead a scheme as corrupt as any on Wall Street, with Sanberg concocting fake customers for his tree-planting services to try to dupe investors into a $2 billion valuation, the Department of Justice said. Sanberg faces up to 40 years in prison after pleading guilty to two counts of wire fraud, according to the Department of Justice.

Sanberg is a key player in California politics, a Gavin Newsom donor who personally spent $11 million backing a ballot initiative to raise the state’s minimum wage to $18 an hour. Voters blocked the initiative by one percentage point in 2024. A 2019 Atlantic story headlined, “Joe Sanberg Dares Trump to Call Him a Socialist,” said “the multimillionaire investor says the Democrats’ progressive agenda is best for jobs and economic growth.”

But “this so-called ‘anti-poverty’ activist has admitted to being nothing more than a self-serving fraudster, by seeking to enrich himself by defrauding lenders and investors out of hundreds of millions of dollars,” according to Bill Essayli, the Acting U.S. Attorney of the Central District of California.

Now, I’ve said for many years that Democrats tend not to out other Democrats criminality unless they get to be too much an impediment to political power. In that direction lies Jim Trafficant, for example. Or, if you’d like something more recent, Robert Menendez. Here’s the thing; Governor Gruesome is mounting a presidential bid.

Given the pattern of behavior I’ve mentioned here, I suspect this is another such happening. Absent that, this arrest would never have occurred.  Can’t have this bit with Sandberg, his corruption and his connections to the upper levels of Democrat power in California, given the danger to the continuance and expansion of that power.  Particularly, Newsom’s presidential aspirations.

The obvious hope for the timing of going after Sanberg now, is that the voting public will have forgotten all about those connections and that corruption by the time the race for the White House takes center stage.

Yes, we’re dealing with the federal DOJ, and Bill Essayli is the guy running this show… and I acknowledge what is a rare thing in California, Bill Essayli is listed as a Republican. But without knowing more of his history, I’m suspicious. Is he more of a GOP establishment critter? Time will tell.

My former boss Roger Kimball (back when I used to write for PJ Media), at American Greatness yesterday:

Tariffs were supposed to be the stupid Trump idea that was going to eviscerate the stock market and crash the U.S. economy. A couple of days ago, Canada joined the long list of countries to drop its retaliatory tariffs in order to curry favor with Trump. Friday, the DOW logged an 840-point gain, closing above 45,600.

And not being covered at all in the left-wing media is the CBO report that Trump’s tariffs are projected to lower the deficits by some four trillion US Dollars.  This CBO report would seem to punch a hole in the Never-Trumper narrative.

The economy isn’t the only area of a roaring success, of course. Kimball continues:

Meanwhile, in the continuing saga of “no one is above the law,” John Bolton, National Security Advisor (for a while) in Trump’s first term, was awakened early Friday morning by an FBI raid. What were they looking for? Classified documents, perhaps those containing the sensitive information that showed up in his anti-Trump book, The Room Where It Happened: A White House Memoir. Back in August 2022, after Mar-a-Lago, Donald Trump’s Palm Beach home, was raided by the FBI, Bolton tsk-tsked that “There is no evidence there is a partisan motive here. I think everybody just ought to calm down, whether you’re pro-Trump or anti-Trump, and let the process work its way through.” I hope some high-minded mouthpiece from the fourth estate will ask Bolton if he stands by that advice.

Yeah, I tend to doubt it.  The Democrats…. and the Democrat lite, known more popularly as the Deep State, or the Establishment Never Trumper GOP…. as ably represented by Bolton will too, I doubt not.

The most interesting tidbit from Friday’s long list of events, however, was the news that Bolton is merely the first in a longish list of investigations that will be occurring in the near future.  James Comey, is widely held to be the next to be under the magnifying glass.

And of course the Democrats are screaming that this is about revenge, apparently (and quite predictably) forgetting their battle cry of “Nobody is above the law”.

Add to this, the dramatically lower crime rates as a direct result of Trump’s takeover of the Police in DC as I mentioned here the other day, and it’s clear Trump has been winning non-stop.  And the Never Trumpers are losing what laughingly passes for their minds over it.

Let’s stat with this:

John Bolton is in trouble…. and it seems to me well deserved trouble.
Bolton has been the face of the Establishment GOP and certainly the deep state, for decades now. And it looks like he could be in jail for decades, too, if what I’m seeing here is true… Jonathan Turley commented on this yesterday, as Catherine Salgado reported on PJM:

“20 years tends to be the sentences for concealing information, obstructing justice — simply having classified information can weigh in at about 10 years, and there are often multiple counts, because each of those documents could be charged separately. So there is a strange history here.”

Of course, the raid is particularly interesting to Trump supporters because Bolton pontificated so self-righteously about the outrageous Biden FBI raid on Mar-a-Lago, saying that no one is above the law. That is exactly what Patel posted on X Friday after the report came out of the raid on Bolton‘s home and office.

Turley added on Fox, “So you had these allegations coming out as early as the first Trump administration. Then there was an allegation that the Biden administration essentially scuttled a further look at this case, and now we have this new development.” Of course, the raid is particularly interesting to Trump supporters because Bolton pontificated so self-righteously about the outrageous Biden FBI raid on Mar-a-Lago, saying that no one is above the law. That is exactly what Patel posted on X Friday after the report came out of the raid on Bolton‘s home and office.

Bolton is likely annoyed that peace might break out. As I said the other day, the left (and in this I include the GOP establishment Never Trumpers) They’re not worried Trump’s effort at peace will fail…. they’re scared to death he’ll succeed.

You’ll notice in the vid he calls out Gabbard, Gaetz, and so on as being “dangerous to national security”. What he obviously means is, they’re a danger to the GOP establishment and the deep state., He will never understand at least publicly, that’s what we voted for.

Cracker Barrel spent $700MUSD for a makeover, says the New York Post.

According to the Post…

The sweeping makeover includes “decluttered” dining rooms, a revamped menu and other changes aimed at updating a brand long rooted in nostalgia.

In the doing, they stripped away everything that made the place unique. Having seen the inside of one of these made over locations, I can tell you that it amounts to nothing more than a Denny’s with less class.

Oh, granted, the place was having it’s post-covid issues, as were most restaurants. But their problems did not involve the decor. Rather, the food quality and service were tanking. So of course instead of addressing this, they went headlong into removing the Americana feel of the place.

There’s a bright side to all of this, though. I keep hearing rumors they’ll be offering Bud Light on their newly revamped menus.

ADDENDUM: A reader, in discussing the CEO’s next job, says: Her next job is going to be with Chuck E. Cheese’s, where she plans to scrap the arcade theme and pizza. It will be replaced by a fair trade coffee barista experience with their new mascot, a nonbinary, European, naked mole rat named Charles Fromage.

Karen Bass exists to make Governor Gruesome appear competent, says Kruiser, this morning:

“Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass has been getting all of the wrong kinds of press since fire destroyed Pacific Palisades and other areas of her city. We’ve seen public officials not handle crises well before, but Bass is going to need her own wing in the Mega FAIL Hall of Shame. Bass is the mayor of the second largest city in the country and has performed as if she couldn’t be trusted to keep fake houseplant alive.”

He’s correct, of course. But more…. I will personally predict Bass will be Gruesome’s choice for VP…. after all, she is as qualified for the job as Harris was to be Biden’s VP. The right color, and a sex that is at best ill defined in Democrat circles.

The last several VP candidates seem to have no other qualifications past that, except they make the top of the ticket, look competent by comparison. Even by that light, he’s the perfect fit. Oh, and as a bonus, there’s still the Chinese connections.

From Red State:

The Democrats have been losing their minds about President Donald Trump’s takeover of law enforcement in Washington, D.C.  You even had people like Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) trying to downplay crime in the city, Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-MD) claiming it wasn’t an emergency, and Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA) trying to argue that Trump “owned” a murder the day after the president formally announced he was taking action. People talk about Trump setting a trap for them to fall into to defend crime, but it’s truly that they are this dumb that they do this.
But most people aren’t buying the Democrat pitch – they know there’s a problem with crime in the city. Even the leftist protest in D.C. on Saturday which was focused on this issue didn’t draw many people. Probably because If you live in the area, you know crime is a reality.

Indeed. Reagan Reese:

There have been more than 380 total arrests since the start of the operation 11 days ago.

In total...

- 59 firearms have been seized.

- Over 160 illegal aliens have been arrested, including known gang members and those with additional charges: assault, kidnapping, burglary, larceny, commercialized sexual offenses, smuggling illegal drugs like heroin, and more.

Last night 22 multi-agency teams were deployed throughout all 7 districts in D.C. There were more than 1,950 participants in last night’s operations.

The DC Police union reports:

DC crime since the announcement of federal control versus the 7 days prior:

Robbery ⬇️46%
ADW ⬇️6%
Carjacking ⬇️83%
Car Theft ⬇️21%
Violent Crime ⬇️22%
Property Crime ⬇️6%
All Crimes⬇️8%

While federal assistance gives us a boost, we must repeal the misguided Comprehensive Policing and Justice Reform Act in order to make these changes permanent.

The question now rather obviously becomes, are the people protesting against this action by Trump and by extension, by law enforcement, actively campaigning for continued high crime rates in DC, and for that matter, all our cities?

First, it is impossible to avoid the fact that our major cities have, for decades, been run by Democrats. It is also, thereby impossible to avoid that those cities and the people in them have been subject to Democrat party policies. Secondly in turn, the crime rates we are dealing with now, are the direct result of those misguided policies.

And look; There isn’t a city in our country…not one… that is not suffering a higher crime rate than needs be. Not one. And every one of them is run by Democrats.  The connection between the crime rates and who is running the places is inescapable. And the move away from Democrat policies, and the results are also inescapable.

Passed along by a reader:

The Truck Driver involved in a deadly crash on the Florida Turnpike that Killed Three People, has NOT been released on Bond according to The U.S Marshals services in California.

Singh, 28, was wanted by the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) for Recklessly operating a semi-truck that made an illegal U-Turn when it crossed directly in front of a vehicle, causing the vehicle to crash into the trailer and killing the three people in the van. The crash happened on Florida’s turnpike in St. Lucie County August 12, 2025.

The investigation revealed that Singh and his Co-driver, Harneet Singh, a family member., fled to Sacramento, California on August 13, and then began making plans to flee back to India. An arrest warrant was then issued due to the high flight risk which occoured on August 15. He allegedly entered the United States illegally in 2018 and obtained a Washington State Commercial Driver’s License before obtaining a non-domicile cdl from California.

U.S. Marshals received a warrant and associated information from thr FHP on August 16 and a lead was sent to the Eastern District of California. U.S. Marshals and Task Force Officers responded to an address associated with Singh in Stockton. They identified Singh as the lone occupant of a vehicle that arrived during surveillance of the location and arrested him.

Singh was taken into custody without incident. He was booked in at the San Joaquin County Jail to await initial appearance. An immigration detainer was also filed on behalf of Immigration and Customs Enforcement which carries a no bond attachment.

Following the crash on August 12., Singh and his co-driver were escorted to a near by hotel per FHP. Both parties were told to remain in Florida until the conclusion of the investigation. FHP says that Singh and his co-driver disobeyed that directive booked plane tickets & fled to California where both men then booked tickets to India.

The U.S Marshals report that Singh was arriving home to gather belongings to make a 5pm departer to India.

Singh is the same driver who caused a bridge collapse in Arkansas in 2019. Singh is also believed to be responsible for a crash that led to two other fatalities in California but was not charged because police couldnt place him behind the wheel at the time of the crash. It was reported that there were three driver in the truck at the time of that crash.

Singh and his Co-Driver both reportedly attended Skyline Truck Driving School in Washington State., a now defunct CDL School that ceased operations in 2021 before briefly reopening again. The State of Washington once again uncoverd a Bribary scheme and permanently closed the school in 2025.

Of the 1,590 driver who attended Skyline., the State of Washington identified 560 drivers and subsequently revoke 80% of those drivers CDLs.

Update: The Miami Herald, in a report echoed in the Modesto Bee, reports:

The truck involved in last week’s Florida Turnpike crash that killed three South Floridians belonged to a company with 25 truck safety violations in the last 24 inspections and two drivers caught driving on suspended licenses in 2024And, as of Tuesday morning, White Hawk Carriers, based in Ceres, California, appears to have lost its ability to do business outside of California.“Insurance cancelled – NOT AUTHORIZED to operate as a MOTOR PROPERTY COMMON CARRIER,” reads White Hawk’s U.S. DOT licensing and insurance entry. “Not authorized” means White Hawk’s out of the interstate property trucking business. But, that Tuesday morning change wasn’t reflected in the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Safety And Fitness Electronic Records (SAFER) snapshot of White Hawk, which said it remained “authorized for property.” As of last Friday’s website update, California’s Department of Motor Vehicles says White Hawk Carriers, license No. 0484640, is still authorized for property moves within the state of California. White Hawk CEO Navneet Kaur hasn’t returned a phone message from the Miami Herald. The company took down its Facebook page Monday. Google now lists White Hawk as “permanently closed.

Of course now comes the question of why he was not taken off the road after the 2019 bridge incident.

In any event, what is clear is that the people who championed the open border that the Democrats gave us, have blood on their hands. As does the state of California, who provided this guy (and apparently many more like him) with Commercial Driver’s licenses.

Kruiser, the other day:

“There are people in America who believe that California Governor Gavin Newsom is a tough, competent warrior in the Democrats’ battle against everything that President Donald Trump does. Collectively, these people are known as the mentally insane. Fortunately for America, there aren’t nearly as many of them as Gov. Gav and the Democratic Party elites think.”

True.

While the rest of the world is beginning to recognize that the environmental laws are way too aggressive and incompatible with civilization…. even NY Democrats… His administration keeps getting more and more radical on the subject. He’s grown government to a record size. Then, there’s the pandemic responses. Mask mandates, shuttered schools, “vaccine” rollouts that were sluggish even by California standards… (and afterward were revealed to be neither safe, nor effective). Newsome’s record on crime is nothing short of catastrophic, putting more limits on police,( which of course had exactly the opposite effect that Newsome and his supporters were hoping for… closing prisons, he’s tried ending the death penalty, The voters, given the option, wanted none of that, rejecting the ballot measure by a 6 point margin.

Newsom swore he wasn’t going to raise taxes, and then imposed huge excise taxes on Guns and ammo. Funny how that works.

Newsom’s record on the economy is similarly abysmal… The 5th largest economy in the world, all by itself and yet under Newsom, about 13% of the people…. (over 6 million, if you prefer to count it that way).  That figure goes up to 17% when you adjust for the cost of living there.

The left likes to complain about unequal wealth and yet Newsom supporters ignore the very thing they’d be complaining bitterly about if a republican had such a record.

All this is just the start.

May I suggest going here to get the whole picture?

We know that MSNBC has been headed toward the rocks for a long time, having ratings only slightly higher than the Chlamydia Channel. And we know why that is, as well.

Now, following the Comcast split, they’ve changed their name to MSNOW…. though I have to wonder why they stuck with the MS. I mean, are they promoting multiple sclerosis? After all, Microsoft has been out of the picture for a decade at least. Another possibility is suggested by Joe Mackie: “Miserable $#!+ no one watches.”

Well, whatever. Different name, same BS lies passed off as fact. With the new moniker, I believe the way this should be pronounced is MSINFORMATION. For however long they’re able to find money to pour down that particular rathole, anyway.

In reality that’s the priority for the west including all the Euro Leaders meeting with Trump today at the White House. In writing to this point yesterday, Adam Mill at Chronicles Magazine wrote…

President Donald Trump is expected to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin tomorrow in Alaska to discuss proposals for ending the war in Ukraine. Meanwhile, the president of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, has softened his position after initially refusing to be party to any peace deal recognizing Russian annexation of land conquered during the war. Zelensky and many of his supporters expressed concern over “rewarding” Russian aggression and compared any such concession to the Munich agreement that ratified Nazi aggression in the former Czechoslovakia. Such concessions make future Russian aggression more likely, they warn.

But this is not Munich, after which Hitler marched unopposed into the former Czechoslovakia following the flimsy peace agreement that led to dishonor and war. Even then, the world powers lacked the will and likely the means to use force to stop the Germans with or without an agreement. The shame of Munich was in legitimizing Hitler’s aggression.

That’s certainly true… this isn’t Munich, but neither is it Versailles, and I wonder if he’s taking that info account. Zelensky’s attitude is understandable, but he, like so many American leftists, seems interested in punishing Putin. Again, understandable, but problematic. History speaks loudly to this. The sentiment of punishment drove Versailles, which in turn led directly to Hitler’s rise, and WWII. Punishment, while understandable and even morally justified, was at least counter productive in the end.
Total victory on the battlefield is an obvious impossibility, from either wise. It’s simply not going to happen.  As Mill suggests:

Escalating this war to totally defeat Russia means committing the sons and daughters of Europe and the West. Our meager birthrates mean that every soldier’s death is the potential end of a family. That’s what Ukraine and Russia are experiencing now. Neither country will soon recover from the loss of their young men. Both sides are suffering immensely.

That’s true…. US sources suggest Russia has lost 20,000 people this month alone.I haven’t seen Ukranian losses listed but imagine that I would assume that those numbers are proportionally similar.
What’s left on the list of possibles then, is a negotiated peace. Not overly desirable, since negotiated peace is invariably less robust.

Putin of course, has his reasons for invading Ukraine. Among them, NATO expansion eastward. He wants a buffer zone against NATO. I remind the reader about NATO’s article 5, which essentially means that an attack against one NATO member is taken as an attack on ALL NATO members. In other words, instant world war if Putin so much as flinches. One can easily understand his discomfort with that.

At this point it’s also about the ego of both Putin and Zelensky. They’re both going to have to give up something. Putin, in particular is going to need to give up at least a few of his demands.

Now, I don’t recall a war being settled by giving up conquered territory, outside of Israel after the six day war. Somehow, I don’t figure either Putin or Zelensky have that kind of moral grounding, even with Trump’s prompting.

Will Trump be successful? I don’t know but the way I see it he is likely the only one who can.
