Just a few things that don’t really fit in a post by themselves.
# Top Gun: Maverick had a 146 million dollar opening proving that Americans are starving for pro-American non-“woke” entertainment.
# Joe Biden tells us that people with mental problems shouldn’t possess firearms. While I agree with the statement, two things come to mind. First, when the government is the one to define mental problems, that seems problematic. What seems even more problematic however is this pronouncement is being made by somebody with a serious case of senility going on, who also happens to have his finger on the big red button.
*I note an article this morning from Byron York over at the Washington Examiner, which reports that Joe Biden’s RCP approval rating has dipped below 40% again. Of course, his approval ratings have never been stellar, leading me to believe that the pollsters are buttering the bread a little too heavily. It also raises the question of the validity of the most recent presidential election. Biden’s numbers have been underwater for some time as York correctly points out. How, after all, does one win an election with a record number of votes and then produce polling numbers like these from day one? There’s a lot about this presidency that doesn’t add up.
Same leftist leanings, same Keynesian economic nonsense, same result, and now the same excuses, and the same denial of reality:
Yet Biden’s remedy is not that different from the diagnosis made by former President Jimmy Carter in 1979, when the U.S. economy was crippled by stagflation. Carter said then the U.S. was suffering from a “crisis of confidence” and “the erosion of our confidence in the future is threatening to destroy the social and the political fabric of America.”
The president said he wants to endow the U.S. with more verve, fortitude and courage.
“Be confident,” Biden said. “Because I am confident. We’re better positioned than any country in the world to own the second quarter of the 21st century.”

Well, even he doesn’t believe the garbage he’s spouting. That much is obvious. Then again, that is the first duty of the leftist, to deny reality. And it’s not like we haven’t seen it before.
The similarities between Joe Biden and Jimmy Carter are eerie. Both men had no faith in the genius of America — its capitalists, its workers, or its ability to compete. The people aren’t inspired by leaders who whine about how unfair the criticism is, or how circumstances beyond the president’s control are the real cause of our problems.
For Carter, it was the Arab oil embargo that was the proximate cause of our economic woes. He, too, blamed the American people for not being inspired by his very existence. In a way, Biden and Carter are pathetic historical figures, lashed by forces they don’t understand. And like Carter, Biden will exit history in disgrace, leaving behind a prostrate nation needing to be inspired.
Look, guys, the vice president’s job is to make the president look good. That was a task that Joe Biden was uniquely qualified for as the last 2 years have shown us. That’s why even the Democrats have been working hard to keep Kamala Harris out of the spotlight. Putting Harris on the ticket was a stroke of political genius on the part of Biden’s handlers. Bad as Biden is, nobody will ever want to replace him with Kamala Harris.
And yet with all of that, there is one thing that the American people as a whole are confident about. The situation we are now in is squarely on the shoulders of Joe Biden, and they want him gone, along with people like Charles Schumer and Nancy Pelosi.
Those of us who lived through the Carter years recognize the electoral tsunami that is coming. It’s going to be even larger than Reagan’s two sweeping victories.
Joe Biden knows it too. So do the rest of the Democrats which in turn is why they’re pushing this January 6th nonsense so hard. It’s the only thing they’ve got, the only lever available to them. The list of accomplishments of the Democrats since taking power have all been negative
So overwhelming is the evidence that the Democrats are about to get spanked bloody at the polls, even Biden has begun to raise questions about the validity of future elections:
REPORTER: Speaking of voting rights legislation, if this isn’t passed, do you still believe the upcoming election will be fairly conducted and its results will be legitimate?
PRESIDENT BIDEN: Well, all depends on whether or not we’re able to make the case to the American people that some of this is being set up to try to alter the outcome of the election.
REPORTER: You were asked whether or not you believed that we would have free and fair elections in 2022 if some of these state legislatures reformed their voting protocols. You said that it depends…Do you think that they would in any way be illegitimate?
BIDEN: Oh, yeah, I think it would be easy to be illegitimate.
Tucker Carlson noted this on his show recently and I think he’s got this one right;
So, 2020 was the most secure election in American history. They tell us that endlessly, and you’re a nut, probably a criminal, if you say otherwise and they say that because Biden won. He got – what do they say – 81 million votes. But things are different now because the Democratic Party understands it will be severely punished. It will be spanked at the polls five months from now. So, because they know what the outcome is going to be, Joe Biden is now telling us that that election could “easily be illegitimate.”
With any luck at all, it’s going to be decades before the Democrat party recovers any momentum to power. Perhaps by then we will have recovered from the damage they have caused. I wouldn’t guarantee a recovery but there’s always hope so long as the Democrats are gone.
Democrats’ January 6th Show Trial Episode 2 Falls Dramatically in Ratings and Episode 3 is Postponed, says Legal Insurrection
The second public hearing of the House select committee investigating last year’s Capitol riot drew around 10 million total viewers Monday, less than half the audience that watched the committee’s primetime opening presentation last week.
And if you’ll remember, that first one got beat out in the ratings by a rerun of a “Young Sheldon”.
It’s a hard rain going to fall on the Democrats, and if we take as evidence the postponement of episode 3, they’re beginning to understand just how deep a pile of doo doo they’ve managed to place themselves in.
Nobody’s buying this stuff anymore.

From Town hall:
John Kerry, who is the U.S. special presidential envoy for climate, stated at a recent event at the University of Southern California that the country does not need to put more effort into drilling for oil and gas as energy costs continue to rise.
The most obvious sign of the increase in energy costs has been at gas stations, where the national average now stands at $5.01 per gallon, but utility bills are also expected to increase this summer. Republicans in Congress have called for more domestic production to increase the supply of oil in order to reduce the cost.
“And energy security worry is driving a lot of the thoughts now about, ‘Oh, we need more drilling, we need more drilling of this, we need to go back to coal.’ No, we don’t. We absolutely don’t. And we have to prevent a false narrative from entering into this or, again, pun intended, we are cooked,” Kerry said.
The problem of course is that John Kerry believes his own hype. The larger problem is that the Biden administration believes the idiot when he says these things. And if you think convincing the Biden administration of absolute garbage is a difficult thing to do, consider the spectacle of Hunter Biden bragging in a recorded peace that Joe Biden will do anything he says.
Joe Biden is pliable to just about anything he’s going to be told and since he surrounds himself with radical leftists, every radical leftist wet dream that comes along is crucial in his view. Think about it, why hasn’t Joe Biden fired any of his economic advisors?
The fact is we need to do a 180 on energy policy, but Biden is still listening to megamorons like John Kerry.
Buckle up kids
The only individual who is more destructive to the American dream that a Democrat is a republican establishment type. Example, Liz Cheney, Mitt Romney, and the gold standard in establishment critter, John McCain. The reason is simple enough: The Democrat isn’t pretending to be a conservative.
Let’s remember that the people that are busy being outraged over January 6th spent nine months cheering aiding and abetting those who were burning our cities. They are directly responsible also for the financial situation that we all find ourselves in.

Remember that this Stalinist show trial has nothing to do with January 6th and everything to do with the first Tuesday in November. The Democrats know very well that they are going to lose come November, absent a huge ad campaign.
The fact of the matter is that anyone who dares to consider the concept of America first is the enemy of the Democrat party. Including you and I.
If January 6th was an insurrection why didn’t anybody fire back when Ashley got murdered?
There were 138,000,000 registered voters at the time of the election. Both sides agreed that Trump got 74,000,000. Last I checked, 138 – 74 = 64 So, Biden could have only gotten 64,000,000 votes. In other words Biden didn’t win. So where did the 17,000,000 come from that got Biden to 88,000,000? Is it any Wonder that the Democrats won’t even allow these facts to come out in this show trial? If they allowed any of this to come out they would have to admit that the people in DC on January 6th have a valid point.

Buckle up, kids
Anybody who is still burying their heads in the sand or choosing to ignore what is happening in our country…what will you tell your family when you can’t even feed them?
We are on a collision course.
Pay attention, please.
Do you know what DEF fluid is? It’s Diesel Exhaust Fluid. Every Diesel truck that has been made since 2010 is required to use it. It’s a product made of 67% Urea fertilizer and 33% distilled water. Every diesel truck you see driving down the road today has to have this product to drive. The engines won’t start without it. There are regulators inside the engine that mix DEF with the Diesel to reduce Diesel emissions. That’s the purpose of DEF.
Right now, Russia is the largest exporter of Urea by a wide margin. Qatar is second. Egypt and China are Tied for 3rd. Both Russia and China have decided to no longer export Urea. On top of that, India is the largest manufacturer of Urea in the world even though they consume most of what they make. What little they would export……….they no longer do.
They are now stopping the exportation of any and all Urea minus a deal they just cut with Sri Lanka.
What does this mean for you and me? Well, first, the United States imports most of it’s Urea fertilizer. We are the third largest importer in the entire world. We depend on other countries to eat, drive and ship our products.
Secondly… Flying J is the largest Service provider for Truckers around the Unites States. I’m sure you’ve seen their massive gas stations when traveling around the country. Flying J gets 70% of their DEF fluid from shipments via Union Pacific railroad.
UP has single user access to the Fertilizer plants that Urea/DEF fluid comes from. No other rail provider has access to these distribution points.
This means Flying J can’t just go around Union Pacific. Union Pacific is in charge….for a reason I’m gonna mention in a few paragraphs.
Flying J provides 30% of all DEF consumed in the United States. UP has told Flying J to reduce their shipments by a whopping 50%. And if they do not comply then they will be completely embargoed. That would in effect bankrupt FJ. This means that 15% of all DEF consumed by truckers in the US is no longer available at the largest travel service center for the entire trucking industry.
Rome rotted from the inside out. It was easily invaded because it was occupied with internal problems. It appears we have discovered the Trigger. DEF fluid. If this holds up, DEF shortages will be the catalyst that causes food shortages in the coming months. Not only is there a shortage of fertilizer to grow crops in drought-stricken states (See Kansas’ drop in wheat production for 2022)….but….now it looks like, unless the Federal Government intervenes via the Defense Production Act, …which I am no longer confident they will….there is gonna be an absolute massive shortage of trucking in the coming months.
There simply isn’t going to be DEF fluid sufficient to keep the engines running and moving. Home Depot is now limiting the amount of DEF you can buy in their stores.
I would think long and hard about the decisions you are making right now. Where you live. What you spend money on. How you prepare. This is so real that the CEO of Flying J, Shameek Konar was summoned to a Surface Transportation Board hearing to give them all this info.
From what I’m reading….Blackrock is the majority shareholder of Union Pacific railroad. How is that important? Americas biggest fertilizer producer is CF Industries. Their largest shareholder is Blackrock. Blackrock controls the fertilizer industry in the U.S.. Union Pacific has exclusive rights to distribution points of fertilizer. Urea is fertilizer. Flying J needs Urea/DEF. Blackrock is controlling everything.
The Chairman of the BlackRock Investment Institute is Tom Donilon, President Obama’s former National Security Advisor. Tom Donilon’s brother, Mike Donilon is a Senior Advisor to Joe Biden. Tom Donilon’s wife, Catherine Russell, is the White House Personnel Director. Tom Donilon’s daughter, Sarah Donilon, who graduated college in 2019, now works on the White House National Security Council.
It appears Blackrock is spearheading the dismantling of the US system on behalf of the Globalists. And the first domino they are pushing over is the energy sector. They are using DEF to get the party started. This is one sector of the biggest downfalls in political repercussions this country has ever faced…😳😔

Let me start by pointing out that Amber Heard apparently considers herself a soldier in the cause of feminism. Then, too, so does Hillary Clinton. So, Amber has that going for her, which is nice. That, I believe, will give you a range of credibility which I assign all of this nonsense.
Hollywood stars and the hangers on have always been, shall we say, quirky. That’s why Hollywood scandal sheets exist.
In all honesty, I was never much interested in the Johnny Depp defamation case.

I considered it at the time (and still do) to be nothing more than yet another Hollywood distraction from the no holds barred disaster that our government has become in the hands of the Democrats.
And thus perhaps we might explain why the news media has jumped on that particular bandwagon with both feet, essentially usurping the role of the Hollywood scandal sheets.
Let’s face it, they have been forever protecting the Democrats from the consequences of their misdeeds. It’s not hard to reach the conclusion that this is one more case of that happening.
All that said, there is one point that I’m starting to hear openly questioned, and I think it’s a question that deserves some serious amplification. It’s actually one that I’ve been asking here for years, now.
Namely, how to quantify the damage being done by these self-proclaimed feminist foot soldiers to women who are truly in an abusive relationship? After watching this spectacle unfold, who is going to trust them?
While I hope that this is the last time we’ll hear of this case, I rather doubt it. They’re already talking about appealing the verdict.

It’s not totally unexpected to see this coming from an actual newspaper in washington, the Washington Examiner:
President Joe Biden finally did it. The lackluster leader’s approval rating has fallen below every president of the modern era at this stage of their term.
Citing approval polling dating back to Harry S. Truman in 1945, FiveThirtyEight said that no president has been below, or even equal to, Biden’s average of 40.9% on Day 490 of their presidency.
Former Presidents Donald Trump, Bill Clinton, and Gerald Ford had lower average approval ratings at some stage early in their presidencies, but Biden has caught up, and today’s average was the first for which he was below all presidents since Truman, a potentially troubling trend as Democrats ready for the midterm elections.
So, how does one supposedly get a record number of votes, and yet comes up with approval ratings that are marginally lower than approval ratings for salmonella?
Since all of the polling has been leaning that direction since day one, it’s a lot easier to assume that the polling is accurate.

That leaves obvious questions about the accuracy of the vote count. I mean, think about it. How does one supposedly get a record number of votes electing him to office and then come up with polling numbers like these?
Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain over there.
Like a lot of you I have been discussing the business in Buffalo and in Texas with the number of my friends recently.
I posted the graphic below on Facebook:

Jerry Saperstein from Chicago who has written for this blog in the past looks at the graphic and says,
Boy, that really gets to the heart of the matter. Who is it that came up with that stupid signage and got it plastered on schools, libraries and such: Is there any rational person who believes that an individual who feels the law does not apply to them will give a damn about about a “THIS IS GUN FREE ZONE” sign? What nonsense.
Now, let’s point out that evil doesn’t follow laws. It does however clean a very important piece of information from the sign. Specifically, if you’re Luke looking to shoot up a bunch of people you’re going to have greater success where very few people if anybody are carrying a firearm.
This whole scenario, caused me to remember that I had addressed the real issue at some length back in 1998. I’ll repost it here because it is precisely pertinent to what is going on today.
3- 22-98 Rochester NY
With the events out in California today, it’s time to address the issue of Guns and the liberals intent to remove them from the hands of the people.
Travel back in time with me, to a few summers ago.. Way back when the Lewinsky scandal was under the surface, Remember? We were inundated with more and more news reports about kids going out and breaking out massive firepower, and using it to deadly result. The left was screaming (as usual) that it was all because guns were too easy to obtain, and that the only salvation was Clinton’s new gun controls. It got to the point where even President Clinton, apparently seeing a diversion from his legal problems, took a stab at it. (Pun intended.)
Clinton at the time said, among other things, something which I can actually agree with; (A fairly unique happening, I assure you…) He stated that these violent attacks the result of a changing culture, and the pressure that those changes bring to bear.
As has been pointed out by me in this medium previously, the left gets an occasional point right, but refuses to come to the only logical conclusion that such discoveries offer. Clinton it seems, is no exception, apparently understanding that at the core of the problem is the social agenda that liberals have been pushing for decades. It’s all come home to roost, now, and the left doesn’t know what to do about it, or, more likely, is unwilling to do what’s needed. What Clinton to this day doesn’t get, is that it is he, and those on his side of the political and social isle, who have been generating and encouraging those changes in our culture, which have resulted in such destruction. Each are cultural changes which, alas!, even ostensibly conservative people have been caving in on for years, now. Instead of dealing with the cultural problems he’s identified as being causal, Clinton went on to attack not that problem, but GUNS… something which despite his best efforts, we Americans can still legally own, and use.
The classes in proper gun use and care being given to young people today, including the NRA’s Eddie Eagle program have come under attack from the left, as being the cause, not the cure for such problems.
This is because, we are told, in one case in Oregon the young man in question was a part of those classes. (Notice it’s usually young boys?)
But the connection is less direct than the left makes it; There are many myriad self-defense and martial arts classes going on at any time in our country; my son attends one of the better ones. Given that one commonality they and the NRA’s gun classes share is training on the /proper use/ of their training and the tools given, why do we not see attacks by martial arts students in the news? Could there be an agenda, here, do you suppose?
Now, it is not unlike the left to use a well-publicized issue to work it’s will on another, totally unrelated issue. Race, and welfare rights, are two such. (I.E.; There are more whites than blacks on welfare, but when someone proposes a cut of welfare payments, liberals will invariably scream about how it’s racial bias against blacks.) So, I suppose I shouldn’t be overly surprised when they pull that same stunt regarding guns. One need not look too deeply to find their over-riding concern. It is, of course, the same concern expressed by every other socialist in history including Adolph Hitler; the removal of guns from society, altogether… except for the representatives of government, thereby placing the power in the hands of the government alone. (Let’s not kid ourselves; the founder put the second amendment in place to defend us from tyrants within government.)
Let’s not let the left divert us into thinking that the solution to violence is simply removing guns. Let’s hold them to the core issue; violence vis a vie cultural changes… There has been quite a bit over the last few years, said and written, about the culture’s values, and the effect the change of those values would have on the people within the culture.
Of the people affected by cultural change… a change of the roots, if you will, it is younger people, whose roots have not been established, who would be the most affected. No shock, therefore, that the largest number of crimes, particularly the massive violence under discussion, would be teenagers.
Simply put:These teenagers have lost hope.
And why?
Let’s look at the agenda of the modern America, as driven by the left…Perhaps we’ll find a pattern there.
We’re told that man is destroying the earth. The problem is that too many of us exist, we’re told. We’re told that man is a problem for the further existence of the earth. We’re told that we can’t make it without that government handout. We learn quickly, thereby, that we have no real say in our lives, and therefore, no future. As if to give credence to the thinking that life is worthless, abortion has become commonplace. Jack Kevorkian is teaching us that killing ourselves is a valid option, and the government is at least powerless if not unwilling to deal with the issue. Every value we have ever had as a culture is now being abandoned by the government.. Indeed, the government has become outright hostile to the traditional values of the culture that built said government. Can such things be without consequence? The evidence suggests not.
Both parents now work regardless of wanting to or not, simply to pay the taxes… because the taxes imposed by the government consume upwards of 60-65% or our annual income. What kind of basic value will children hold of themselves when parents find they have to work? I understand well the forces that drive such choices, (being driven by
them myself;) but can such choices be without consequence? The evidence suggests not.
Mothers who stay at home are universally castigated by the feminist left, as ‘not being in touch with themselves’ and ‘being a burden on the sisterhood’ whatever the hell THAT is. Can this kind of disdain for traditional family values be without consequence? The evidence suggests not.
Remember when America used to have leaders whom you could look up to? Political leaders, ball players, and to a larger degree than today, even film and TV stars were people which could be held up as examples. Granted, many were never perfect, but they were trying to live up to the then universally held American ideals. Who do we have to hold up in their place today? PeeWee Herman. Tupac Shakur. Madonna. Dennis Rodman. The Spice Girls. Larry Flynt, Bill Clinton. Can this be without consequence? The evidence suggests not.
Is anyone of sound mind, foolish enough to suggest that our governmentally induced transition from a values-based society to what is now an essentially valueless society, which provides little if any hope on an individual level, has no effect negative on the people
within it?
History, I think, will record the greatest failure of the governments of the last 60 years, to be not in the financial or political areas, and not with it’s law enforcement, regarding guns, but in the cultural… I.E.; support of the majority culture, and the values that it holds dear. Because in the final view, it’s this which is causing the violence, not guns, per se’. Guns are simply a tool. What people do with guns, and for that matter, what they do with all other weapons of every type, and indeed, how they deal with all conflicts, and live their lives , is a product of their environs, as focused through their values.
And when you remove the values, our sense of right and wrong, the rest falls away.
What we need to reduce the violence, therefore, is a reinforced value structure, that, unlike what the left has been forcing on us, does not run afoul of traditional American culture.. Liberals of the last 40 years are afraid of this, they don’t want to be seen as being ‘judgmental’. This is not an issue that is going to be solved by ‘finding the middle path’. If we really want to stop the violence, instead of making political points from it…it’s time to move those of the left who have for decades be neutering our value structure, in the name of ‘cultural diversity’, out.
Both the victory girls and twitchy make note of Barack Hussein Obama being the horrible individual I’ve always seen him as.
This isn’t just a matter of Obama marching off in a direction that the Democrats don’t support, as you will see in the articles, as you will see.
The highest inflation in 40 years isn’t driven just by record federal spending, a record government-driven labor shortage and record restrictions on US energy production. President Joe Biden’s record regulation spree is also pushing prices higher. Stopping the bureaucratic assault on the economy is essential to taming inflation and giving families relief.
The role of regulations in the inflation crisis is largely overlooked but shouldn’t be. When Washington wraps the economy in red tape, businesses must spend massive sums on compliance.
That cash doesn’t materialize from thin air. Every dollar that goes toward hiring lawyers, filling out paperwork and redesigning products and assembly lines gets passed to consumers through higher prices. Mercatus Center research finds that a 15% increase in federal regulation hikes the cost of consumer goods by a full percentage point.
It’s time to stop the madness and get government out of the way of the economy.
This “build back better” leaves us wondering, better for whom? It’s as Reagan told us.
