Bootz raises an interesting point as well, today, asking, in part, what kind of world would it be today,

In this case, one needs also to ask if Turkey would have been spared this attack, had they co-operated with us in the initial attack on Iraq. They tried to placate the terrorists by not opposing them. Apparently, the lessons of past wars have eluded them… that there are some people you simply don’t deal with.
I wonder if this attack will change their attitude?
