They’ve already had to drop “The Reagans”. Now, events have forced CBS to retreat again… this time, Michial Jackson’s special, which I think was due to air this week sometime. They’re still not doing badly in the sweeps, though, so don’t feel too badly for them.
Which does raise the question, though about these rather dramatic splashes every sweeps week; are they really needed? Perhaps they’d be better off just sticking with good programing?
