Did the freedom loathing, soon to be former mayor of New York City  Micheal Bloomberg know who Victor Hood was?   Well Bloomberg should now.   Hood, an employed plumber,  just beat Da Mayor and his deep pcckets, from Denver Post:

An epic national debate over gun rights in Colorado on Tuesday saw two Democratic state senators ousted for their support for stricter laws, a “ready, aim, fired” message intended to stop other politicians for pushing for firearms restrictions. Senate President John Morse and Sen. Angela Giron will be replaced in office with Republican candidates who petitioned onto the recall ballot.

Party insiders always said Giron’s race was the harder one. Although her district is heavily Democratic, Pueblo is a blue-collar union town. Morse’s district included Manitou Springs and a portion of Colorado Springs — and more liberals.

More on Hood, from Colorado Peak Politics, via John Lott:

Giron’s recall was spearheaded by a plumber from Pueblo named Victor Head. His group Pueblo Freedom and Rights and their 100% volunteer effort succeeded in gathering enough signatures to put the recall on the ballot, with a signature validity rate of 94%.
By comparison, the professional effort to get the billion dollar tax hike on November’s ballot cost over $750,000 and had a 54% validity rate. Victor’s group had virtually no money — even going so far as to spray paint their own yard signs to save money. They were outspent by the groups backed by billionaire Mayor Michael Bloomberg by 10 or 20 times.
But, in the end, Bloomberg’s billions weren’t any match for Victor Head’s voters.

Reax from  Colorado Springs resident  Michelle:

But  the message has been sent and the bright red line has been drawn. Other Democratic state legislators across the country posing as “moderates” cannot carry water for the Bloomberg conglomerate and think they can escape without electoral consequences.

Warning to all politicians thinking about gutting our Second Amendment,  call of Joe Biden’s speeches and Bloomberg money can not protect from the wrath of betrayed voters.   Yesterday, we saw this applied to the Second Amendment.   It may soon well apply to congresscritters tempted to support President “Present” ill-advised war on Syria.
