Face it. Had it occurred any place but the school the murder-suicide out in San Bernardino probably wouldn’t have rated even a blip on the news cycle.
On the other hand if it wasn’t a gun-free zone it probably wouldn’t have occurred there at all.
So, they swore in Gorsuch this morning.
I won’t call it a good thing because honestly, I don’t know.
There are two points in this guy’s history that cause me serious doubt.
First one being he clerked for Justice Kennedy. If he ends up being another Kennedy, we might just as well as let Hillary pick who she would for the post,or for that matter, Chuckles Schumer.
And that brings up another point in my list of unease. Even with all of the Smoke and heat the Democrats are putting up over this Justice, the fact of the matter is that they universally supported his nomination every time his name came up until such time as Republican nominated him. Now obviously that shows the partisanship that the Democrats feed on. This is who they are.
But something I haven’t seen mentioned as a deduction out of this is that apparently, he wasn’t too right-wing for them back then. And I have reason to doubt that he’s changed all that much.
It has always seemed to me that the Democrats were waddling far too willingly toward Harry Reid’s nuclear option. I’m beginning to wonder if in their private counsel they are figuring that Gorsuch really isn’t all that much of a loss for them, so let the thing play out.
So not only do we have a wasted Supreme Court nomination but we also have a rule changes it’s going to come back and bite Us in the ass eventually.
First, a reminder of something I have said quite often:
Peace, real, lasting peace, is not a product of disavowing war, or thinking peaceful thoughts.
Nor is it the product of negotiated settlements.
Peace is the product of winning the war brought against you, with sufficient force to prevent any ideas of trying it again.
Examples:
World war II was the direct result of the negotiated settlement imposed following WWI.
The current Korean troubles are the product of negotiating away our efforts in the original Korean War.
Consider, on the other hand our victories over Japan and Germany and how decisive they were , and how good and peaceful an ally each has been following that victory.
Second, the lie has been put to the assurances by the Obama crime spree that all the chemical weapons had been removed from Syria. Clearly, diplomacy didn’t work. John Kerry and Barack Obama have blood on their hands. Now it’s down to cleaning up the mess they’ve left behind.
And somehow, I get the feeling that the talks with China down in Florida on what to do about North Korea is going to have a somewhat different tone to it, now.
Oh… And as a bonus, we get to watch our leftist press give itself whiplash turning from Trump is owned by the Russians to Trump is risking war with the Russians.

I think Representative Waters used her government office to illegally funnel tax dollars to her husband’s bank. Send her to jail.
Full disclosure, I do not view Bill O’Reilly. Do not like blow hards. I have never voted for Maxine Waters. Room temperature intelligence is just not my thing, and don’t reside in her district.

I would advise Leader McConnell to accept the gracious offer of the ‘rats, provided it is accompanied by Associate Justice Sonya Sotomayor’s immediate and unconditional resignation. The national-security adviser is not an investigator. She is a White House staffer. The president’s staff is a consumer of intelligence, not a generator or collector of it. If Susan Rice was unmasking Americans, it was not to fulfill an intelligence need based on American interests; it was to fulfill a political desire based on Democratic-party interests.
Well, no kidding. In case nobody’s noticed though, the Democrats are getting increasingly insular on this stuff. Hinderaker has suggested that Rice will plead the fifth and it wouldn’t surprise me at all. Not so much to protect herself, mind you, but to protect the movement. The tribe.
A political hack she is…(watching her multiple performances on the Sunday talk shows lying about Benghazi, repeating the claim that the whole thing was caused by a video that nobody saw, is I think sufficient proof of that…)
But the fact of the matter is that Rice would not make an independent move, there… Just as she certainly did not in the case of the Benghazi debacle. She had to be getting directions from some place and there’s only one place that kind of direction can come from.
Further, as McCarthy points out, only the intelligence agencies involved can make the call of unmasking. So the question becomes, did that call come directly from the Oval office? Perhaps more directly, is there any other reasonable explanation than the unmasking order coming from Obama himself and simply facilitated by Rice?
At this point I’d have to suggest that there isn’t any other reasonable explanation to all of this. But as I pointed out in my response to Stephanie Trussell yesterday not a bit of it’s going to matter without some serious jail time being attached to it…. Jail time issued to all involved…including the only place where the order could have come from… Barack Hussein Obama.
At least if all of this comes to light we will have a better understanding of the rumors we’ve been hearing about Obama spending 5.4 million dollars on a mansion in Dubai… On the idea that extradition from that country is sketchy at best.

Democrats have a character problem. Integrity is not a required characteristic to be hero in the Democrat Party.
Actually Stephanie, I’ll take it a step further. It’s a requirement that you not have character to be a Democrat anymore. That’s the truth of the matter.
With that qualification in place I must say that she’s come as close to the truth of the matter as anyone of late. Nothing we do now is going to make a difference, unless there is serious jail time attached to it. And frankly you and I both know that’s not going to happen.
Do you know what brought down the Nixon Administration? It wasn’t the Democrats, news media and it certainly wasn’t the court system. Essentially Nixon was removed from because Republicans in Congress had enough character to call an abuse an abuse regardless of it being in their own party.
That hasn’t been true amongst Democrats for Generations now.

For years we’ve been hearing from the conspiracy theories that jet fuel burning inside a building can’t melt the steel and sufficient amounts to cause the building to collapse. Based on this we’re being told that the collapse of the World Trade Center was an inside job.
