Jerry Lewis took in a reported record $60.1 million over the weekend. His efforts will be remembered. It’s something of an indication of his dedication that I need not even mention what it is he took in the money FOR. And that, perhaps is among his greatest accomplishments…. being an example of dedication to a good cause,a nd the success that can come from such dedication.
Perhaps it’s worth noting also, that this record amount continues a trend noted during the 80’s: Given the chance to be, we are a charitable people. Put another way: When Taxes go down, charity giving goes up.
