Is the Obama regime planning a January 20, 2017 coup d’etat?

Item, from Washington Examiner:

Even if a President Trump were to order the CIA to torture terror suspects, the agency would refuse, Director John Brennan said.

In an interview with NBC News set to air Monday, Mr. Brennan said that enhanced interrogation techniques would not be worth the damage to the agency.

Item from Jazz Shaw, Hot Air:

The level of scrutiny the EPA has come under in recent years is both well deserved and a driving factor for some voters in the upcoming election. We’ve watched as lawlessness and overreach in one executive branch department after another were exposed (the VA, the IRS, etc.) but few have come close to the levels of abuse on display at the EPA. President Obama has been a staunch defender of the agency and his pick to lead it, Gina McCarthy. But sensing a change in the wind, the EPA director is up on her hind legs defending the department and predicting that even if a Republican takes the White House this November, the EPA will march onward. (Government Executive)

Willful refusal to obey legal orders, in the military, is called mutiny,  Mr. Brennan and Ms McCarthy have some explaining to do.    Both Brennan and McCarthy took an oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States and not some former president’s demented world view.

I was sitting at the truck stop the other day having some breakfast. One of my fellow drivers turned to me and asked me if I was surprised at the amount of support that Donald Trump was getting.

The answer to the question came rather quickly, despite the idea that I have had no coffee so far that morning.

“Look”, I said… ” we have warning labels on lawn mowers warning people that putting their hands on their feet under the mowers could cause injury.”

At that point, my coffee arrived.

“We have warning labels on cups of coffee, saying the coffee is hot and it can burn you if you’re not careful.”

After pausing for a sip of the freshly arrived coffee, I continued.

” We have warning labels on plastic bags warning people not to put that plastic bags on their heads.”

Shaking my head, I finished the thought…

“So the answer to your question is no. That people are supporting Donald Trump doesn’t surprise me at all.”

Somehow, I don’t think that was the answer he expected.

For whom does the Old Big Dawg bark? The duty of a surrogate is to put the interests of the client first.  Or in the case of a surrogate for a politician put the interests of the client politician first.   The problem with the old campaign dog B.J. Clinton that every time he faces a choice whether to defend his record, or to advance the cause of his wife, he strokes his ego and feeds his politician wife to the political dogs, from Betsy Newmark:

Bill Clinton’s response to the BLM protester indicates what happens when a politician will defend his position instead of surrendering to the pressure of hecklers. A lot of what he said was totally legitimate, but it’s just not what politicians should do. However, what is clear is that he regards Hillary’s campaign as a chance to talk about his own presidency. That seems more important to him than advancing Hillary’s race. And getting into a shouting match with a black protester is not going to help Hillary. I doubt that they wanted to spend the day defending Bill.

Mrs. Clinton’s claim to being qualified to be President is based on spending eight years in the East Wing of the White House. At the same time Mrs. Clinton repudiates seemingly every thing her legal husband, and proclaim co-president did while in the West Wing. Strange!

There is a hard core population convinced that Nine-Eleven was an inside job.    No amount of evidence will ever convince the ilk of Rosie O’Donnell otherwise.   There simply is no conceivable that could or would convince the O’Donnell crowd that their pet theory is wrong.  Now the woman, formerly known as Smartest Woman in the World, b/k/a Mrs. B.J. Clinton pledges to resolve an even older pet conspiracy  theory, to wit the idea that the Earth has been and is being visited by extraterrestrial aliens,  otherwise known as James Carville deranged uncles. from CNN:

There has long been an air of conspiracy surrounding theories of alien life, and the head of Hillary Clinton’s campaign said Thursday it’s time to do away with the secrecy.
CNN’s Jake Tapper pulled aside Clinton campaign chair John Podesta, who was a guest on “The Lead,” to talk aliens.

“The U.S. government could do a much better job in answering the quite legitimate questions that people have about what’s going on with unidentified aerial phenomena,” Podesta said.
Podesta has made his interest in the possibility of alien life and conspiratorial leanings toward Area 51 well known.

Mrs.Clinton is not the first Clinton to look into UFO’s and Roswell. So did her husband, from Open Sources:

[Jimmy] Kimmel brought up the subject by saying that if he were president he would immediately go find out about UFOs. He said, “I probably wouldn’t even finish the oath. I would run to the White House. I’d demand to see all of the classified files on the UFOs because I want to know. I want to know what has been going on. Did you do that?”

[B.J.] Clinton replied, “Sort of.”

Clinton said he began looking into it at the beginning of his second term, during the 50th anniversary of the alleged Roswell UFO crash. Kimmel was surprised he waited so long. Clinton also said he looked into Area 51.

Clinton says there was a sci-fi movie that about an alien being held in Area 51. So he says he first had people look into Area 51 to find out if there really was an alien down there. He says he found out it was a secret base and the people who worked there even had to wear special clothing, but they were dealing with secret stealth technology, not aliens.

If the UFO wack jobs were not inclined to believe B.J. Clinton, why would they believe his wife? As President, Mrs. Clinton would no access to any secret files than her husband did, and an even greater perception of being a liar.

So says the RNC chairman.

People have been sitting down, on their hands, for the last several elections. Come on, RNC. Didn’t Bob Dole, John McCain, and Mitt Romney teach you anything at all?

I wonder how long it will be before the Obama regime issues rules to regulate Big Toy?   From Ashley Rae Goldenberg, MRCTV:

The White House will be holding a conference to encourage toy companies and the media to “break down gender stereotypes” because not enough girls are choosing to pursue careers in STEM fields.

The one-day conference, sponsored by the White House Council on Women and Girls, the Department of Education, and the Media, Diversity & Social Change Initiative at the University of Southern California will try to address the “gender gaps in our workforce.”

According to the White House, it is a tremendous problem that only 29 percent of those in some of the “highest-paying, most in-demand” STEM fields are women.

[…]

The White House’s press release does not note that it is possible that girls and boys simply have different interests that may lead them to pursue different careers—and even want different toys.

A stereotype is any perception, whether true or not, which a social justice warrior does not agree.  Hence the need for re-education.

By what criteria does Ms Jarrett establish that not “enough” girls are pursuing STEM field careers?   Ms Jarrett would rail at the suggestion that a girl not be allowed to abort her unborn baby, but would evidently is willing to use the White House Gestapo to enforce  Ms Jarrett’s personal view of appropriate career fields for women.  I all for young women being able to both freely choose what careers they want to pursue and with what toys they play.  And you?

Is Ms Jarrett using public funds to pursue a legitimate problem, or just wasting tax payer dollars to stroke her personal vanity? I say the latter.

From History of Dolls:

A doll is a figure of a human being (or sometimes of an animal) used most often as a children’s toy, in magic and religious rituals. There are documents that prove that dolls were use in Ancient Egypt, Greece and Rome. They were made from materials that were available like clay, stone, wood, bone, ivory, leather or wax… There is also archaeological evidence that dolls were oldest known toys.

Wooden paddle dolls are one of the oldest dolls found. They were discovered in ancient Egyptian tombs that date from 2000BC. Their purpose is not entirely clear. Ancient Greek dolls with articulate limbs date from 200BC and documents from 100BC show dolls as children’s toys. Romans made dolls from clay, wood, ivory or rags. They were found in children’s graves dressed according to the latest fashions. Newly wed Greek and Roman girls would give their doll to Goddess. Some dolls had multiple roles. They were children’s playthings but they would also participate in rituals or used in children’s education. Some dolls were never given to the children because it was believed that they are too charged with magical powers.

Girls have been playing with dollars for apparently as long as their have been little girls. which long before Big Toy existed to perpetuate Valarie Jarrett’s evil stereotypes.    Wars on free speech and toys, what will the social justice warriors attack next?

Statement from Donald Trump campaign after losing Wisconsin, via Red State:

Donald J. Trump withstood the onslaught of the establishment yet again. Lyin’ Ted Cruz had the Governor of Wisconsin, many conservative talk radio show hosts, and the entire party apparatus behind him. Not only was he propelled by the anti-Trump Super PAC’s spending countless millions of dollars on false advertising against Mr. Trump, but he was coordinating `with his own Super PAC’s (which is illegal) who totally control him. Ted Cruz is worse than a puppet— he is a Trojan horse, being used by the party bosses attempting to steal the nomination from Mr. Trump. We have total confidence that Mr. Trump will go on to win in New York, where he holds a substantial lead in all the polls, and beyond. Mr. Trump is the only candidate who can secure the delegates needed to win the Republican nomination and ultimately defeat Hillary Clinton, or whomever is the Democratic nominee, in order to Make America Great Again.

And all this after Trump finally said something smart. In his plan to finance the border fence, Trump noted that illegal immigrants are draining money from our economy. So instead keeping illegal Mexican immigrants, and losing our money to Mexico, let us lose the immigrants and keep our money. We might not even need the fence.

If you take Donny at face value, and who would, he did at least keep one campaign promise. Donny has promised to unify the republicans, and according to him, he has, all in opposition to him. And who said it could not be done.

As for Trump’s accusation of illegal campaign coordination by the Cruz campaign, Trump either needs to put up the evidence or shut up. If Trump has evidence of crimes committed by the Cruz campaign, he as an obligation to bring the evidence, not the mere allegation, forward. If Trump lacks such evidence, has libeled Ted Cruz and owes him yet another apology Donny, it put up or shut up.

Governor Moonbeam,  California pans the idea of fifteen dollar an hour minimum wage, and then signs it into law anyway, Leslie Eastman, Legal Insurrection.

To a social justice warrior, it not a matter of what makes sense, only what feels good.

Meanwhile back at the ranch, Neil Cavuto asked guest Naquasia Legrand about basic economics. Blaze.   For her part, Legrand was having none of it.   She deserved the money, and knew for a fact that corporations had plenty of it.   It would be beyond Cavuto’s meager powers to explain to Legrand that her wages don’t come from some corporate headquarters in Illinois, but rather from her restaurant customers.

George-Steph-600-LIMrs. Clinton has agreed to debate Bernie Sanders provided her paid stooge and sock puppet George Stephanopoulos moderates the debate, via William A. Jacobson, Legal Insurrection:

It must be tough running for president, formerly having been referred as the Smartest Woman in the Word, and after taken too many falls, with resulting brain concussions.   Maybe, Mrs. Clinton used to competent, alas no more, video:

Hat tip, Dana, Patterico’s Pontifications:

According to Mrs. Clinton’s logic, such as it is, we those of us, who are not the unborn child’s mother, have an obligation to pay for his healthcare, but the decision as whether he should live or die is his mother’s alone to make.    Mrs.  Clinton’s new political book, “No Unborn Child Needs a Village.”

It must give  Mrs. Clinton’s supporters than warm cozy feeling their candidate views some children as disposable, like some women.

Amusing to see in the cyber age, that you have go to Australia to see just how stupid Donald Trump really is, from ABC(AU):

Donald Trump has reiterated his belief that abortion is “murder” days after he ignited a firestorm by suggesting women who have them should be punished.

Mr Trump has been criticised by abortion supporters and opponents for not being clear about his position on the hot-button political issue.

“The laws are set now on abortion and that’s the way they’re going to remain until they’re changed,” Mr Trump said in an interview with the CBS News

Later in the interview, Mr Trump said he did not disagree with the proposition that abortion is murder.

I most of what Mr. Trump has said this past week, Mr. Trump is flat out wrong. The idea that the wanton killing of an unborn human being while in his mother’s womb is legal is not an opinion, on which people are free to disagree, it is a legal fact. Just like the Supreme Court ruled in 1857, that the Negro had no rights that need be recognized, the same court, in 1973, denied that the unborn had any rights associated with person hood.

Murder is the intentional killing of one human being by another. If our legal system, such as it is, does not recognize the unborn as even human, then killing him can not be defined as murder.

Mr. Trump, may or may not, feel that the wanton killing of an unborn person is morally wrong. However, murder is a legal concept and not a moral one. Killing an unborn person is indeed wrong, but is not and can not be deemed murder.

Moreover, Mr. Trump seems to believe both that our law allows the murder of unborn human being, but that these laws should remain unchanged. So Mr. Trump believes killing unborn humam beings is wrong, but he can not be motivated to change the law. Square that circle Donny.

NASCAR roots go back to the good old boys outrunning the revenuers. The sport migrated from the back roads to race tracks. Well apparently, one good old boy was still trying to out run the feds, from NBC Sports:

NASCAR driver/owner Derek White turned himself into authorities Wednesday and faces seven charges in connection to the biggest tobacco-smuggling bust in North American history, NBC Sports has learned.

Sgt. Daniel Thibaudeau of the Quebec Provincial Police told NBC Sports that White was being interrogated Wednesday. White, who turned himself in after learning of an arrest warrant in his name, was expected to be arraigned Wednesday night.

Some things never change.

Governor Moonbeam,b/k/a Edmund “Jerry” Brown just instituted a job lottery in California, from ABC News:

A political deal to raise California’s minimum wage to a nation-leading $15 an hour could help some workers cope with the state’s crushing cost of living but also deprive other low-wage earners of jobs altogether, economists said as Gov. Jerry Brown and other leaders touted what would be a landmark agreement.

California’s economy is larger than that of most countries, with a wide diversity of earners. While newly minted millionaires gentrify neighborhoods in the San Francisco Bay Area, some Central Valley field hands lack access to clean water. A jump from the current $10 an hour spread over six years would affect millions.

Who will win and who will lose Governor Moonbeam’s job lottery? The effects of the lottery will not be random but rather rigged. Those who need the raise the least, government and unionized leaders will stand to win, while those who need the money most, the young and the poor, will be the ones out of a job. I wonder when the clamor will begin to increase California welfare payments?
