L & O DOA, Deadline:

This one is a shocker. Veteran crime drama Law & Order will not get its shot at history after all. I hear that after long deliberations, NBC has decided to cancel the long-running procedural, which will end its run at 20 seasons, tied with Gunsmoke. This is very surprising as NBC brass had indicated lately that they would bring L&O for a record-breaking 21^st season. But with strong development, especially on the drama side, and soft ratings for L&O, NBC apparently opted not to keep the aging series, which spawned several successful spinoffs. The latest, Law & Order: Los Angeles, will launch next season. L&O‘s renewal by NBC was also contingent on securing a sizable commitment from the series’ cable home TNT whose off-network deal for the show was up at the end of this season.

All good things must come to an end. and Law & Order quit being good long ago. L & O ‘s twenty year run without a continuous cast member is unmatched.   Gunsmoke ran for twenty years and starred James Arness in every year.    Wheeas with L & O, you fill a subway coach with the entire cast of lead characters.

You think I’m kidding but I’m not sure I am.  Since we’ve given up on merit and instead focus on group representation nowadays, what’s the argument against such an approach?

Answer, the guys will continue to earn more than the chicks.  Let them get their degrees,and their college debt.

Hilliary 12? Dick Morris thinks Mrs. Clinton is attempting to position herself to challenge Dim Won in Twelve, from Frances Martel, Mediaite:

On 60 Minutes earlier this week, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton commented that the American economy is making it more difficult for her to do her job because other nations are telling her that “we always look to you because you have this great economy, and now you’re in the ditch.” Bill O’Reilly saw “a little jab” at the President in those comments, blaming the White House for her job troubles, but guest Dick Morris took that premise a bit further, suggesting the remarks, coupled with her silence on health care reform, were a deliberate attempt to undermine the President building up to 2012.”I think there is a subtle distancing going on, and it began over health care,” Morris noted, pointing out that Clinton was not vocal about supporting health care reform.

Mrs.  Clinton’s foreign policy woes are not due to the Obama economy, but rather due the facts that she is rank amateur with respect to foreign policy and she is moron to boot.    So Mrs. Clinton how that reset button working for you with Russia?   How did you attempted coup go in Costa Rica?   How are relations with some former strongest allies like Great hte United Kingdom and Israel?

Interesting Byron York has developed yet another link between the Clinton administration and terrorism.   It seems somebody inside the Clinton White House has feeding information to eco-terrorists.    Go f0r it Mrs. Clinton, please.

Elena Kagan, President Obama’s nominee to replace retiring Justice John Paul Stevens, was on the losing side in both cases.

As solicitor general, of course, Kagan has an obligation to defend federal laws against constitutional challenges. But her pro-censorship positions went beyond the call of duty. Together with some of her academic writings, her arguments in these cases provide grounds to worry that she will be even less inclined than Stevens, who has a mixed First Amendment record, to support freedom of speech.

May 13 (Bloomberg) — Elena Kagan said as a U.S. Supreme Court law clerk in 1987 that she was “not sympathetic” toward a man who contended that his constitutional rights were violated when he was convicted for carrying an unlicensed pistol.

Kagan, whom President Barack Obama nominated to the high court this week, made the comment to Justice Thurgood Marshall, urging him in a one-paragraph memo to vote against hearing the District of Columbia man’s appeal.

So Elena Kagen will offer sympathy provides you express state approved rules and surrender your constitutional right of self-protection.    I dare not call Kagan’s view freedom.   Would you?
