Three Muslims have been murdered in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, and some clamoring for hate crime charges, from Times-News:
RALEIGH — As thousands of mourners prayed for the three Muslim-American students killed in Chapel Hill this week, the FBI opened its own investigation into the case Thursday.
In a brief news release late in the day, the FBI said it had launched “a parallel preliminary inquiry to determine whether or not any federal laws were violated related to the case.” The FBI had previously been called in to assist the Chapel Hill police in processing evidence from the crime scene; the new inquiry could broaden the case’s jurisdiction and potentially bolster the charges against the suspect.
Dear Jedgar good luck with your mission of painting the alleged killer, Craig Hicks, as some demented, Rush Limbaugh, Sarah Palin, like right-wing nut case. John Hinderaker, Power Line, found the goods on Hicks. Well more to the point, Hicks’ Facebook page. Hicks evidently hates Ted Nugent, Rush Limbaugh and Dick Cheney. On the other hand he likes Rachel Maddow and the Southern Poverty Law Center.
Maybe the FBI will just have to determine that Hicks’ murder spree was just another senseless act of random violence? After all anybody could have parked in those parking spots.

Well, let’s remember the only comment that didn’t come from the teleprompter during the State of the Union speech. That being, that he had won two elections. This is the portrait of a man who knows he has little to lose by going all in.
Further, let’s not play too lightly on the conclusions that he mentioned this, where Obama’s critics, which these days include most people, where Obama hates America. That’s becoming the most obvious conclusion, and just about everybody has drawn it.This includes a large number of democrats who. now disappointed that they voted for him.
Finally, perhaps it’s time once again to address the issue of Bill Ayers and whether or not he is a former America hater. Remember, we are already in possession of proof that Obama lied about their relationship early on.
I’m going to say this, also, and I know it’s going to earn me an enemy or two. The conclusions now in this case are so blinking obvious that there is one other conclusion to draw that is equally obvious. That being that the GOP is complicit in this. It’s rather like the long disproven meme that Islam is a religion of peace. The GOP is unwilling to do anything about Obama and his transgressions against the American public because they think they’re going to be paying the price for opposing him.
Hence, they, not being part of the solution, are part of the problem. That’s a message to the American people are getting loud and clear. And I wonder, is the GOP itself. At the moment I kinda doubt it.

The 80,000-strong PLA was no longer the only enemy confronting the Marines. By now the temperature had dropped to 25 degrees below zero. Fighting every step of the way, Chesty succeeded in not just bringing out the wounded and the dead but also every vehicle and piece of equipment worth saving. Behind him, spread out for miles, lay the broken remnants of seven Chinese divisions.
In his inimitable way, Chesty refused to call the retreat a defeat, let alone a retreat. As the future general waited to board his ship, he ordered reporters to “Remember, whatever you write, this was no retreat. All that happened was we found more Chinese behind us than in front of us. 2015, Barry’s (President Barack Obama) Marines, from Military.com:
U.S. Embassy Marines in Yemen handed over their M-9 pistols and M-4 carbines before evacuating the chaotic country with diplomatic personnel, the Pentagon said Wednesday.
The Marines also left behind several vehicles at the airport in the capital city of Sanaa before departing on a civilian flight, said Army Col. Steve Warren, a Pentagon spokesman.
Warren said the Marines destroyed their machine guns and other crew-served weapons before leaving the Embassy for the airport. He also said that it was unclear who now had custody of the weapons and vehicles that were surrendered.
A Marine spokesman could not immediately say whether the surrender of weapons by Embassy Marines in an evacuation was unprecedented.
I don’t doubt for one minute that our Marines in Yemen have any less intestinal fortitude than Chesty’s Marines had at Chosin Reservoir. However John “French” Kerry is certainly no Lewis Puller. In 1950, Chesty retained, his dead, his wounded and his artillery. In 2015 Frenchy could not even retrain a M-9 pistol.
Not that this is going to change they mindlessness of the Greenies who are constantly sniping at me about there global warming religion., I noticed this come over the desk this morning.
At a news conference last week in Brussels, Christiana Figueres, executive secretary of U.N.’s Framework Convention on Climate Change, admitted that the goal of environmental activists is not to save the world from ecological calamity but to destroy capitalism.
Now, of course, it should be noted that what this woman is so proud of is pulling away from the only system that has worked in the last hundred and fifty years. Socialism never has.

I find it both amusing and instructive to note, that the same people who are defending Williams this time, we’re defending Dan Rather a few years back. All the while, decrying the 24 hour news cycle and Fox News.

NBC News has suspended Brian Williams without pay, effective immediately, from NBC News President Deborah Turness, via Dylan Byers, Politico:
We have decided today to suspend Brian Williams as Managing Editor and Anchor of NBC Nightly News for six months. The suspension will be without pay and is effective immediately. We let Brian know of our decision earlier today. Lester Holt will continue to substitute Anchor the NBC Nightly News.
One can only suppose the Williams will be with Team America for the next six months looking for his long lost credibility. Good luck with that.

While the video is priceless, the reporterette’s performance not so much. If she could used elements of both her red line and Noble Laurette question in just one question, and then sat down, I’d email her a hug. Sadly, she asked what four questions and let Obama evade the red line question. Alas!
Then again, I am highlighting a German reporter, because no American reporter has the intestinal fortitude to ask such a question of the President.

When you see claims like this from the President, and then you see his secretaries of state both current and past telling us that we need to have more empathy for the Islamic point of view, I think it clear that America has been betrayed.
Dim Won, b/k/a Barack Obama has a consistent pattern. He ignores real problems like global terrorism but rather concentrates on largely imaginary problems like anthropogenic global warming or the college rape culture.

These numbers are wildly out of line with national crime statistics, which don’t show anywhere near that number of rapes in the past two decades. Those statistics show fewer than 2 million rapes being reported in that time frame. Even accounting for the fact that many rapes go unreported, the number Obama gave Sunday night is staggering. It would mean that just 6.3 percent of rapes and attempted rapes are reported
Example Three, Ralph Peters, National Review:
In his ignorant and bigoted remarks to religious leaders this week, President Obama parroted jihadi propaganda. Bored (when not annoyed) by facts, the president referred to the Crusades and the Inquisition as evidence of the horrors religion can wreak. That kind of talk emboldens the Islamist line that Christian bad behavior justifies the Middle East’s bad behavior even today.
The president knows as little about history as he does about warfare, and even less about religion.

Following my last article, Homewood checked a swathe of other South American weather stations around the original three. In each case he found the same suspicious one-way “adjustments”. First these were made by the US government’s Global Historical Climate Network (GHCN). They were then amplified by two of the main official surface records, the Goddard Institute for Space Studies (Giss) and the National Climate Data Center (NCDC), which use the warming trends to estimate temperatures across the vast regions of the Earth where no measurements are taken. Yet these are the very records on which scientists and politicians rely for their belief in “global warming”.
Homewood has now turned his attention to the weather stations across much of the Arctic, between Canada (51 degrees W) and the heart of Siberia (87 degrees E). Again, in nearly every case, the same one-way adjustments have been made, to show warming up to 1 degree C or more higher than was indicated by the data that was actually recorded. This has surprised no one more than Traust Jonsson, who was long in charge of climate research for the Iceland met office (and with whom Homewood has been in touch). Jonsson was amazed to see how the new version completely “disappears” Iceland’s “sea ice years” around 1970, when a period of extreme cooling almost devastated his country’s economy.
The article, of course, goes on from there. The situation is as I’ve been saying for years. Global warming is the largest scam ever perpetrated on humanity.
I suggest it’s time we jail those responsible.
I noted on my Facebook page a few days ago somebody mentioning that Brian Williams had successfully tainted the NBC brand. My immediate response was somewhat caustic suggesting that it would be impossible to taint an outhouse.
It’s clear, today, from the reports that we are getting that his superiors at NBC knew precisely what was going on almost a decade ago, and did nothing about it. On that basis, it seems logical to raise the question of what else he’s been lying about? What else NBC has been lying about along with the rest of the supposedly mainstream media. CBS, for example. Which brings to mind another point… Dan Rather. Brian Williams is going to lose his position, for the same reason that Dan Rather lost his. They were both caught making stuff up.
And certainly, there are reasons to lie from his vantage point. Consider Hillary Clinton is lying about landing at a diplomatic mission, under sniper fire. Like Williams, she apparently forgot that there are a lot of electronically savvy military service people out there, who are willing to stand up and speak the truth when these lies come forward. Al Gore inventing the Internet. Al Gore giving us rock solid predictions about the ice caps melting. Obama telling us that healthcare is going to be cheaper. And so on.
But why would these people lie about such things? They do so because lies are expected by those that they need to curry favor from. At least, until such time as somebody dares to call them on their lies.
The trouble of course with all of this is that the American voting public has an extraordinarily short term memory, as I will demonstrate. How many of you would have remembered Dan Rather’s lie, if I hadn’t mentioned it?
It has been said: Women drivers, no survivors. Well Bruce Jenner says he wants to be a woman. Is this part of his sex change, driving like a woman? From TMZ:
Bruce Jenner was involved in a horrific car accident on Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu at around noon Saturday, one person is dead, and it looks like Bruce caused the accident … TMZ has learned.
Law enforcement sources tell us … there were 3 vehicles involved in the crash. We’re told there were 8 people involved and all sustained some sort of injury … but one person died at the scene.
Eyewitnesses say Bruce rear ended the white car and that car went into oncoming traffic and was struck by the Hummer. You can see the impact in the pics below. The woman driving the white car died.
Reads more like old fashioned male road rage.

its a sad story, a very sad one. What I saw the news come over the wire, I was watching Betty White on TV. The thought occurred that the reason Betty is still alive even at this advanced age is she didn’t marry the likes of Bobby Brown.
With this sad news I suppose we can call my accusation justified and let it go at that.
