The Snark of the Day, P.J. O’Rouke:
One if by land, and two if by sea, and three if by air, and four if by drones .??.??. Or is it two if by land, and one if by sea? .??.??. However, there will be no deployment of Colonial ground forces. So it’s two if by ship-launched cruise missiles .??.??. Or is it three if by airstrikes? .??.??. Anyway, the British aren’t coming.

Evidently, in the Obama admistation, Power is not so smart. To have a foreign policy based on “Smart Power” you first must have smart diplomats. It is easy to see why the Obama administration so-called Smart Power foreign policy is failing so miserably, via via PJ Tatler:
Samantha Power, the U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations, hoped that a team of UN investigators — many of whom, presumably, have a longstanding relationship with Iranian leaders — could write a report that would convince Iran to abandon its ally at the behest of the United States.
“We worked with the UN to create a group of inspectors and then worked for more than six months to get them access to the country on the logic that perhaps the presence of an investigative team in the country might deter future attacks,” Power said at the Center for American Progress as she made the case for intervening in Syria.
“Or, if not, at a minimum, we thought perhaps a shared evidentiary base could convince Russia or Iran — itself a victim of Saddam Hussein’s monstrous chemical weapons attacks in 1987-1988 — to cast loose a regime that was gassing it’s people,” she said.
Reax:
There are no words to describe the stupidity that infests the Obama government. Well, there may be one: Immature. Or another: Naive
More, Phineas @ Sister Toldjah:
I think this is final proof that The One and his band of happy progressives have been into the wrong mushrooms.
Given the idiots at the top of the Foggy Bottom food chain, it is easy to see my the we allowed or foreign policy to be eaten way by the ilk of Bradly “Juct call me Chelsea” and Edward Snowden.

The Snark of the Day:
Oh, how I long for the days when liberals wailed that “the rest of the world” hated America, rather than now, when the rest of the world laughs at us.
Maybe Dim Won, a/k/a President “Present”, a/k/a President Fifty Seven States, b/k/a Barack Obama really did not mean to set a red line in Syria. However it hard to eat your words in the Internet Age, from the official White House Website:
And the people in Syria and the Assad regime should know that the President means what he says when he set that red line. And keep in mind, he is the one who laid down that marker. He’s the one who directed that we provide this information to the public. And he’s the one who directed that we do everything we can to further investigate this information so that we can establish in credible, corroborated, factual basis what exactly took place.

Much more video on the link.
Pull quote: I didn’t set the red line.
Reax: Neo-Neocon, Legal Insurrection:
Obama passes the buck again, this time to the world
Message to Dim Won: maybe, or maybe not, you didn’t mean to set a red line, but somebody on your staff posted the claim you did on your official website. So dummy, you made the claim. You own it.
I do reserve the right to treat as if true, official White House communications. Don’t you?
I don’t know what to call what is happening at the University of California-Los Angeles, but it sure is not appear to an education. What are we becoming? It seems some twits feel it more important to protect the feelings of illegal aliens, than to respect the constitutional rights of Americana citizens, Katherine Timpf, Campus Reform:
The undergraduate student government at the University of California-Los Angeles (UCLA) unanimously passed a resolution Tuesday calling for the end of the use of the phrase “illegal immigrant,” saying it violates human rights guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution.
“The racially derogatory I-word endangers basic human rights including the presumption of innocence and the right to due process guaranteed under the U.S. Constitution,” the resolution states.
To all illegal aliens, if you don’t like the way you being treated in my country, feel free to leave.
If Mrs. Clinton wants to be President, she should learn to act presidential. President Present is stumbling us in to war on Syria, and Mrs. Clinton appears to be in hiding. Mean while back in Wasilla Mrs. Palin weighed in, from World Net Daily:
Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin is condemning President Obama’s decision to wage war in Syria, despite White House claims of documented proof President Bashar al-Assad used chemical weapons against his own people.
Palin, the Republican vice presidential candidate in 2008, unloads on Obama in a Facebook post titled: “Let Allah sort it out.”
“Bottom line is that this is about President Obama saving political face because of his ‘red line’ promise regarding chemical weapons,” Palin wrote
Dim Won is hell bent on starting World War Three, and the Smartest Woman in the World, can not think of anything to say.
Victor Davis Hanson poses the question of the century, from PJ Media:
So
why is there such a disconnect between what Obama once declared and what he subsequently professed? There are four explanations, none of them mutually exclusive.
Barack Obama may go down in history as James Buchanan with a tan. Buchanan’s lock on being the worst President in American history is the fact that Buchanan gave us the Civil War. Starting a war for no apparent reason would put Obama in the same league as Buchanan.
Alternative title: President Obama finds his inner George W. Bush.
Yep. Here’s your proof.
Says The Rebel:
By pointing out that the mainstream media is orchestrating their entire coverage of this incident, we are not denying that there is a tremendous amount of death and violence in Syria right now. However, we are showing that the mainstream media version of events is scripted and staged propaganda.
The following video shows him contradicting himself while off air, and even asking crew members to “get the gunfire sounds ready” for his video conference with Anderson Cooper on CNN.
As I said a few days ago, not all is as it seems, we’re being played.
Do you remember Peggy Joseph? Well Stacy does, from Other McCain:
Go ask any Democrat voter — black, white, male, female, whatever — why they voted to re-elect Obama. And good luck getting any rational explanation of how voting Democrat has actually made life better for themselves or their community.
Maybe the democrat are so fervid in their desire to kill quality public education because they fear losing their supply of low information voters.
B.J. Clinton endorsed photographic identification for voting, from Ed Morrissey, Hot Air:
Have we reached consensus on voter-ID? At this afternoon’s rally in honor of the 50th anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr’s “I Have a Dream” speech, former President Bill Clinton waggled his finger once again and zinged gun-rights activists, saying that voting should not be harder to do than buying an “assault weapon.” Since those purchases require a picture ID and usually a five-day waiting period, most gun-rights and voter-ID supporters would probably agree.
The ‘rats keeping turning supposed memorials, see Paul Wellstone, into campaign rallies, and they wonder why they keep saying stupid things
And to think, that Clinton is the same man who thinks he deserves yet another turn in the Oval Office. Paging Monica Lewinsky.
Here is a simple question for a the our dim witted President, who thinks he already knows all he needs to know, from Ralph Peters, New York Post:
Chemical weapons use? Horrible and illegal, a war crime. So is the mass slaughter of civilians. Is it really so much worse to be gassed than tortured to death by al Qaeda or burned alive in your church? Which is more important, the number of dead, or the means that killed them?
A civilian is a civilian and dead is dead. Is the President’s attack on Syria even legal, not according to then Senator Barack Obama, from Daily Caller:
“The president does not have power under the Constitution to unilaterally authorize a military attack in a situation that does not involve stopping an actual or imminent threat to the nation,”
Candidate Obama claimed to be professor of constitutional law. I sure the old professor will join our call for impeachment, should our dim witted President attack Syria for no legal or legitimate reason.
Martin Luther King, Jr. opined about the day his four little children would not be judged by the color of their skin, but rather by the content of their character. Sadly character is exactly what King’s son, Martin Luther King III is lacking.; from CBS News:
“The task is not done, the journey is not complete,” he said. “The vision preached by my father a half-century ago was that his four little children would no longer live in a nation where they would judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.”
“However, sadly, the tears of Trayvon Martin’s mother and father remind us that, far too frequently, the color of one’s skin remains a license to profile, to arrest and to even murder with no regard for the content of one’s character,” he said, calling for “stand your ground” self-defense laws to be repealed in states where they have been enacted.
The late Trayvon Martin was not killed because of his race, unless you argue that Martin’s race caused his criminal behavior. Martin was killed while attempting to mug George Zimmerman. It is damning to see that MLK III is by rhetoric indistinguishable from the ilk of Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, Eric Holder and Barack Obama.
We only put our first President, George Washington, on the dollar bill and not only our flag.
Evidently some supporters of the Dim Won, or President Fifty Seven States, believe Barack Obama is better than Washington.
Hat tip: Michelle.
Personality cults are reserved by socialist utopias like the former Soviet Union or Fidel Castro’s Cuba. It has no place in a representative republic.
Barack Obama explained, from Eric W. Dolan, Raw Story:
Climbing the economic ladder can influence basic psychological processes within an individual. According to a new study published in Personality and Social Psychology Bulletin this month, wealth tends to increase a person’s sense of entitlement, which in turn can lead to narcissistic behaviors. Paul Piff of the University of California at Berkeley told PsyPost “there is something about wealth that gives rise to a sense of entitlement, a sense that one deserves more good things in life than others, which in turn gives rise to an increased or inflated sense of self-importance, vanity, grandiosity, and omnipotence (narcissism).”
Change the word wealth to political power, and the argument makes even more sense. Nothing seems to imbue the intellectually weak and lazy with an over inflated sense of self-importance than political power. For example, Obama thinks that Obamacare is just fine for the ruled class, but not good enough for the ruling elite.
