Yes it true that Jerry Sandusky is a pervert, predator and convicted criminal.   However predators can not long survive in one locale, unless they are protected, and at PSU, Sandusky had plenty of protectors, from Paul Campos, Lawyers, Gun$ and Money:

Joe Paterno, moral monster

It is becoming apparent that Joe Paterno not only knew that Jerry Sandusky was a child rapist, but that he was probably the person most responsible for covering up Sandusky’s previous crimes, and allowing Sandusky to commit many more.

I disagree a wee bit.   Paterno was just a football coach.  Ultimately the responsibility rested with the PSU President, Graham Spanier.

Young, British female journalist, Natasha Smith, savaged by Egyptian mob, from Mediate, video:

Reax by Captain Louis Renault “I am shocked.”

Human rights are not a universal norm, but rather a cultural value. You should not walk into a tiger den without expecting not to be eaten. Likewise young attractive women in Western garb is merely raw meat the an Islamist crowd. You can argue, if you so desire, that native domestic populations should respect Western ideas. Not bloody likely.

While I respect the right of female journalist to enter Islamic tiger’s cage, I question the sanity and wisdom of doing so. Sadly, was, and is, way for a female reporter in Western dress to report on an Islamic crowd without herself becoming part of story.

I’m not had a chance to read the ruling and the dissent as yet. I will be tackling that over the next day or so.

However I have made a couple of conclusions already… based on some of the quotes being tossed out there. The majority ruling would seem to be somewhat self- contradictory, particularly as regards what is a tax in what is a penalty.

I see no good coming from this ruling. And I mean for either side. Yes Obama and company will declare victory… and didn’t do you have already done so. then again obama and his apologist declare victory after last years disasterous midterm elections. So, I’m not convinced we should take their victory dance seriously at all.

As I say, I will be reading the ruling this evening and probably reporting on it sometime over the weekend.

Addendum:  (DavidL)

True, I’d rather see Obama Care dead, and it is still alive.  However, thanks to Chief Justice Roberts, Obama Care is now closer to being dead, and easier to kill.    The democrats have been using this it is a tax, it is not a tax shell game.   Now a stake has been driven through the heart of the theory that Congress can create a class of commerce for the sole purpose or regulating it.

Democrats who defend Obama Care, do so by taking ownership fo the largest tax increase in our nation’s history.     Barack Obama adamantly defended Obama Care as not a tax.  He now defends the Roberts’ ruling declaring his pet cause a tax.

Let hope the House passes a straight forward repeal of Obama Care,   and sends it to the Senate.   As a revenue bill, Dirty Harry can not filibuster it.   How many incumbent democrat senator want to sign on to the support an unpopular tax bill?

I still think Roberts was wrong.   The government has argued before the courts that is not a tax.   The Chief Justice should have taken the government at her word.

Like was done with the word gay, the population which purports to believe, and advocates that homosexual sodomy should be treated as if it were normal is dehumanizing the term human rights. Rather than the term human representing a cultured and civilized view of of human nature, the advocates of homosexual sodomy wish to see that the term human rights only pertain to low level animal instincts, from SF Gate, via Jamie Wearing Fool:

San Francisco police have arrested veteran gay rights advocate Larry Brinkin in connection with felony possession of child pornography.

Brinkin, 66, who worked for the San Francisco Human Rights Commission before his retirement in 2010, was taken into custody Friday night. He spent the night in jail before he was released on bail, according to a spokeswoman for the sheriff’s department.

The district attorney’s office will decide Tuesday whether to file charges. “We’re still reviewing the case,” district attorney’s spokeswoman Stephanie Ong Stillman said Monday.

Police say that Brinkin had pornographic images, some that appear to show children as young as 1 and 2 or 3 years old being sodomized and performing oral sex on adult men, in e-mail attachments linked to his account, according to a search warrant served by San Francisco police.

Reax, JWF:

Brinkin is all about human rights. Except for those of infants and toddlers being used as sex toys. Oh, and read the comments at SF Weekly. People are actually defending this monster, with one claiming it’s just giving ammunition to conservatives. That’s right, people politics ahead of the welfare of little children.

I am sure that Jerry Sandusky, formerly of Pervert State University, would see nothing at all criminal pertaining to Brinkin. In the world of Sandusky and Brinkin, male predators have rights. children do not.

Posted as a public service from Aaron Walker, Allergic to Bull:

I have accused some people, particularly Brett Kimberlin, of reprehensible conduct. In some cases, the conduct is even criminal. In all cases, the only justice I want is through the appropriate legal process—such as the criminal justice system. I do not want to see vigilante violence against any person or any threat of such violence. This kind of conduct is not only morally wrong, but it is counter-productive.

In the particular case of Brett Kimberlin, I do not want you to even contact him. Do not call him. Do not write him a letter. Do not write him an email. Do not text-message him. Do not engage in any kind of directed communication. I say this in part because under Maryland law, that can quickly become harassment and I don’t want that to happen to him.

And for that matter, don’t go on his property. Don’t sneak around and try to photograph him. Frankly try not to even been within his field of vision. Your behavior could quickly cross the line into harassment in that way too (not to mention trespass and other concerns).

And do not contact his organizations, either. And most of all, leave his family alone.

The only exception to all that is that if you are reporting on this, there is of course nothing wrong with contacting him for things like his official response to any stories you might report. And even then if he tells you to stop contacting him, obey that request. As you will see by the time I am done telling my story that this is a key element in making out a harassment claim under Maryland law—that a person asks you to stop and you refuse.

And let me say something else. In my heart of hearts, I don’t believe that any person supporting me has done any of the above. But if any of you have, stop it, and if you haven’t don’t start.

Thank you in advance for your cooperation.

Barrack  Husein Obama extends congratulations to the purported new President Elect of Egypt, Mohamed Morsi  via Stable Hand, Jawa Report:

“We look forward to working together with President-elect Morsi and the government he forms, on the basis of mutual respect, to advance the many shared interests between Egypt and the United States,” press secretary Jay Carney said in a statement.

In there own private world, the Obami are crediting the Islamists with heretofore unknown qualities, like respect for women and religious tolerance .  Is it too much to suppose the Obami expect Mohamed Morsi first act as President will be to legalize same-sex marriage?

Mean while back in the  land of the sober and the sane, Professor William A. Jacobson, Legal Insurrection, notes:

[T]here is a video uploaded to YouTube which has been embedded at many blogs which purports to be President-elect Mohamed Morsi leading a large crowd chanting about marching on Jerusalem.  While I can’t be postive, that looks like Cleric Yusuf al-Qaradawi (referred to in some of my posts linked above) not Morsi.  Memri says it’s cleric Safwat Higazi at a Morsi campaign rally.  This doesn’t change the nature of the Muslim Brotherhood, but it’s important to be accurate.

None dare call the Obami smart    Jerusalem is the historic capital of the State of Israel.   I expect the Jews will defend it.

I see David’s comments on this matter, and well done, David… but wanted to touch on this myself because there’s a personal angle to the story. Both myself and Art Smith the proprietor of The Conservative Reader both attended the school district in question.. Greece Central,. which is outside Rochester, NY. That being said, I suppose that factoid hardly matters. This kind of nonsense could easily have occurred just about anywhere in the country.

First off, back then, there was no such animal as a schol bus monitor. That’s because of two things;

1: Kids were better behaved
2: That’s because they knew the consequences would be both swift and immediate, if they were not. Consequences from both the school district, and more importantly, the parents.

The school district response back in my day would have been swift and immediate. Such individuals would likely have been kicked off the bus, probably before it fully stopped, before half of what you see on this video had occurred. The next day, the students would likely have been expelled, or at the very least, suspended for a long period of time. And you know what? The students of my day knew that, and knew it well… aside from any reaction of the parents at home.

Now, it’s true, that there will be serious repercussions from this, for the brats involved. Now, at least. But, now consider; absent the video being posted, and all the attention, would it be so? I have much reason to doubt it. And therein, I suppose the problem is.

Look, I know lines got crossed back in the days I attended school, there. But the lines that got crossed were nowhere near this far out. And you know what? We didn’t even HAVE “School bus monitors”…. they simply were not needed.. students behaved.I remember seeing back in say in 1955, that the biggest discipline problem in the school district’s was centered on gum chewing in class. Consider that for a moment.

Why the difference?

It’s a combination of factors. First of all, discipline in those years was needed much less in the schools than today because, students came to school knowing that respecting the teachers and respecting fellow students was what they wanted to do. Parents… you remember them… laid it out for their kids from they day they were born… you respect your elders, end of story. That’s not happening, for the most part anymore.

We can’t expect the government schools to do anything about behavioral issues, when they are so restricted by laws and by parental pressure from reacting to such matters. One of the reasons that parochial schools have better track records with students and their academic performance is because of the level of discipline involved. Not only insofar as response to transgressions, but also in the instilling of values. They also tend to concentrate on involving the family as a unit. Particularly, the parents.

Of course, teachers, for their part, back in the day, in government schools, and even today, in the parochial and private schools, understood and accepted responsibilities of their chosen profession, and invoked more stern discipline for less infraction of their rules than is even dreamed of today. Today, government school teachers are directed to practice less discipline for more serious infraction of rules.

Consider the response in the press release from the school district;

I need to stress that we have a specific process that we must follow before imposing discipline on students. Discipline for public school students in New York State is handled under specific procedures set forth in the New York Education law. In the event that a district is seeking a suspension of more than five days, the district must prove the student’s violation of its Code of Conduct in a due process hearing before a hearing officer. If the student is found guilty, the hearing officer makes a recommendation for an appropriate period of suspension to the superintendent of schools. Each case is determined based upon the actions engaged in by the student as well as consideration of a student’s prior disciplinary record.

Thing is, that legalistic approach, depends very heavily on parents being involved. We have become so mired in procedure, that we’ve forgotten our objective. That is, molding people to become members of society.

The Greece Central School District has a strong bullying prevention model that includes a district response team, training programs for staff and students including the Olweus Bullying Program, Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports and a Bullying Reporting Process. In March, we also hired a special counselor to train all staff in bullying prevention models. In fact, she is holding a previously scheduled training for administrators as we speak.

Clearly, this approach isn’t working. If parents don’t teach respect before their little darlings get to the early school years, this kind of legalistic approach isn’t going to mean anything at all, other than large expense, and very happy lawyers. And what happens when they reach society as adults? Huge prison populations, and a society which hardly qualifies as such.

Parents are not nearly so involved anymore, as they once were, and have prevented the schools from directly and immediately responding to disciplinary issues, and have forced the schools into the legalistic approach. What we see in that vid is the direct result of that combination.

Thing is, I doubt we’re going to learn the lesson of this.

Well done, young man, from Fox News:

Phoenix boy, 14, shoots armed intruder while watching three younger siblings

A 14-year-old Phoenix boy shot an intruder who broke into his home while brandishing a gun as the teenager watched his three younger siblings, police said.

The teen and his brothers and sisters were at home alone at their residence at 55th Avenue and Baseline when a woman rang the doorbell Friday. The teen didn’t open the door because he didn’t recognize her, Police Officer James Holmes said Saturday.

Soon after, the teen heard a bang on the door, rushed his siblings upstairs and got a handgun from his parent’s bedroom. When he got to the top of the stairs, he saw a man breaking through the front door and point a gun at him.

The boy shot the 37-year-old man, who is in critical condition but expected to survive and be booked into jail.

Free citizens have the right to keep and bear arms. Imagine the horror had this self-defense taken place in the People’s Republic of Chicago. Mayor Emanuel’s thugs would have the home owner and baby sitter in jail. Likewise in Mayor Bloomberg’s New York City.

from Weekly Standard, via Nice Deb:

Last Friday, an attaché of important gay people from Philadelphia made a trip to Washington D.C. as invited guests of President Barack Obama for the White House’s first-ever gay pride reception. There, they danced to the sounds of a Marine Corps band; they dined on crab cakes and canapés; they hand-delivered letters from concerned citizens like this 18-year old who has had four people close to him gunned down, and noted rhyming raconteur CA Conrad; and some of them took advantage of photo opportunities to give the late President Ronald Reagan the middle finger.

Reax:

Hat Tip: Nice DebAbsolutely no one should be surprised by any of this. As the President panders to one “special interest group” after another, predictably the most radical and militant subsets of his favored groups (i.e., his base) end up appalling the country and embarrassing him. See the Occupy movement, union thugs, Dan Savage, pro-illegal immigration rallies, etc for more on this phenomenon.

Note to the Weekly Standard:  shame on you Bill Kristol. You would never allow a person to be described as an important heterosexual. Certainly nobody is important merely because they profess to be  homosexual.

President Fifty Seven States, a/k/a Dumbo, a/k/a Dim Won,  b/k/a Barack Obama has pandered to a lot of special interest groups,  the American taxpayer specially exempted.   If this population had any pride, they would exhibit respect in the People’s House.

From Elizabeth Hartfield. ABC News:

Massachusetts Senate candidate Elizabeth Warren turns 63 today, and among her birthday gifts is one she probably won’t appreciate very much. She’s in a tight race against the GOP incumbent, Scott Brown. The state’s Republican party announced this morning that it is gifting Warren, a Harvard Law professor, with a complimentary account at ancestry.com.

“Since Professor Warren has failed to come up with any evidence supporting her claims to Native American ancestry, we thought this Ancestry.com account would make the perfect birthday gift,” said Massachusetts Republican Party executive director Nate Little in a statement.

The Warren campaign did not immediately respond to ABC News’s request for comment.
