• For a small percentage: So, Obama’s making lots of hay out of a call to save $100 Million? God bless Jake Tapper. Surber seems to agree. As I mentioned in Last Night’s Ramble, Obama and his people never bother to mention in terms of percent of the budget. Here’s why: The total savings amounts to (ready?) 0.00027% of the budget.  Tell you what; courtesy of The Heritage Foundation, let’s put this supposed cut in perspective:  And should I mention the Democrats in Congress are already annoyed at having even that much less to spend? To answer Gibbs, let’s out it this way: Only in Washington, and only among the Democrat party can the federal budget balloon by record amounts, while Democrats try to credit themselves for cutting the budget.  Starting to understand what a crock this is, that the Democrats are feeding us? I’ll tell you what this is; This is a  desperate reaction to the Tea Parties… both those that directly participated in the protests and the 51% Rasmussen tells us approve of them. They’re in trouble and know it. And yet, this is the best Obama’s got?   As usual, the Democrats are all hat, no cowboy. And here’s the thing; It’s gotten so obvious, even the mental midget Krugman’s got Obama pegged. How sad is that?
• It’s all the same:  Lots of noise, just now over the overtly stupid Perez Hilton.  Just for the record, though, can someone explain to me how this is any different at all from the noises made by Saint Andrew The Incontinent?
• WHAT Army? So, the White House is demanding Iran stop the ‘horrible rhetoric’… Of course the Iranian response is, figuratively…”Yeah, you and what army?” Oh… wait. Obama kinda killed off that option, didn’t he?
• Blind Pig/Acorn=9th Circus/Gun rights: ’nuff said.
• Good News/Bad News: Good news is oil’s down again. Bad news is, it’s because projections on Obama’s economy are dire at best. And of course, there’s worse news…prices at the pump won’t stop going up… government policies. All in the name of ‘the environment’, of course. Just remember, folks, you’re saving the snail darter. Feels good, huh?
• The Murtha Soap Opera Continues: Just in case we needed a reminder how utterly corrupt Democrat Jack Murtha is. 
• And should we mention that the people have started catching on to Barney Frank being part of the problem?
• That’s what I want…  Where can I get me some of THIS action? And no, gang, I don’t trust this report any more than I trust any get rich quick in your spare time’ pitch.
• A horse (Squeeze) story: So, Madonna falls on her ass while horseback riding… (Not hard to do, given the size of it) and blames a guy from the press for ‘scaring the horse. Only one problem; The guy was hundreds of miles away. What’s up with this, Madge? Another desperate attempt to be the center of attention? I tell you, folks, there’s nothing like the sight of a 50 -something  pop tart, trying to recapture lost glory. At least, in her case, the fall wasn’t all that far.
• Wish Granted! I wished yesterday, we knew who Jane Harmon pissed off. Apparently the answer is Rahm Emanuel. Oh, Hopey Changitude.
• The Memos: See Dick Cheney last night?  Well, no, I didn’t either. I was busy buttoning up some security issues with the site, as I told you earlier today. But I’ve seen the transcripts. He makes a good point about the CIA ‘interrogation ‘ memos we discussed the other day; He wonders why Obama never bothered releasing the memos showing the effectiveness of those methods.  (Video here) He doesn’t allow information to show how many lives were saved.  Now why is it, do you suppose, he’d not want that information out in public, I wonder? Boortz notes the interview as well and says, correctly:
  

  If someone has the information that could save thousands of lives — OK .. just one life — and if you had a reasonable expectation that you could get that information from this guy by pulling out his fingernails or (gasp!) pouring water on his face … and if you didn’t do it … then you are every bit as worthless as he is.

  Just so. And look, gang, here’s a clue: The first time in two generations we can get Democrats to talk about “American values”, and what’s their first target? American security. Figures.

• I’ll leave you, today, with this. David and I have both commented on the magnificent moron that is Janeane Garofalo. I’ll be intersted in her commenting on this girl… assuming she has the courage, which I doubt. Comon, Janeane, let’s hear from you. Explain this woman away. Oh… and to the rest of you; THIS is EXACTLY why I consider the Tea Parties so needful. I’m telling you; this is a message they can’t get around, under or over.

Enhanced inteorrogation, that is what the leftards call tortue, worked.   It saved lives. Marc A. Thiessen, Washtington Post:

In releasing highly classified documents on the CIA interrogation program last week, President Obama declared that the techniques used to question captured terrorists “did not make us safer.” This is patently false. The proof is in the memos Obama made public — in sections that have gone virtually unreported in the media.

Consider the Justice Department memo of May 30, 2005. It notes that “the CIA believes ‘the intelligence acquired from these interrogations has been a key reason why al Qaeda has failed to launch a spectacular attack in the West since 11 September 2001.’ . . . In particular, the CIA believes that it would have been unable to obtain critical information from numerous detainees, including [Khalid Sheik Mohammed] and Abu Zubaydah, without these enhanced techniques.”

As the one is under the Obamaland delusion that the White House approved intergation techniques did not work, he should disclose the name of the person who wrongly summaries the CiA reports to him and then fire his incompetent donkey.

Yeah, I know… I’ve been fairly quiet for the last 24 hours. Here’s my tale of woe….

About 2pm yesterday, my Palm Treo woke up and downloaded mail, as it always does.  However, it took longer than usual and when it got done, it blew an alarm, and then calmly advised me it had 2700 more mail messages to download that it didn’t have room for.

Ummm…. Huh?

Now, my mail system is usually pretty busy, but even with normal spam levels across the many accounts I monitor, I clear perhaps 400 emails per day. (Which once the spam gets cleared out, means we’re down to around 40 or so real messages.)

You can imagine I dived in to see what was what, with the idea that my mail server had been compromised, somehow. Several hours of log reading later, I find that no, I hadn’t been compromised, it’s just some spammer trying to sell Viagara under the counter in Japan, Taiwan, and Italy had somehow decided to use falsified ‘florack.us’  addresses in the ‘reply to’ field. When the messages didn’t make it, the servers at the far end, dutifully returned the messages… by the thousands… to the false addresses in the reply field. My system saw the addresses weren’t correct, and dropped me mail to tell me about it. As I programmed it to do.

The result was an overload in my main email account, including the one my Treo accesses every ten minutes.

So, if you’ve sent David or myself feedback, and we don’t reply to you, send it again; it likely got caught in the weeding process.

Team Obaama continues the painfull process of learning that in the real world, things do not operation by Obamaland delusions.    Jake Tapper, ABC Neews, instrucrts the Obama adminatration, in the person of Robert Giibbs, that Eight Billion is biggter thnn one hundred million:

TAPPER: You were talking about an appropriations bill a few weeks ago about $8 billion being minuscule — $8 billion in earmarks. We were talking about that and you said that that…

GIBBS: Well, in terms of — in…(CROSSTALK)

TAPPER: …$100 million is a lot but $8 billion is small?

I knew that, You know that.   Then I took math in junior high.    Maybe Obama thought that math class was a sermon and slept through it”

President Obama convened his Cabinet for the first time today and instructed department heads to trim their budgets by a combined $100 million over the next 90 days, cuts he said would help overcome a “confidence gap” among the American people about the use of their tax dollars.

In Obama’s fouth month in office, he convenes his first Cabinet meeting, over a subject which could have been handled by  a single e-mail.   Feeling confident?

Jennifer Rubin, Commentary Magazine:

This is noteworthy not only because it took nearly a hundred days to convene the cabinet but because it suggests the “What tea parties?” feigned ignorance by the Obama spin-machine is flimsy camouflage for growing concerns that the unwashed rabble may be on to something. Really, why now, out of the blue, find some tiny cost cutting measures?

• It’s all indicative: How is it President Water Walker has no problem releasing interrigation memos, but won’t release his birth certificate?
• It’s called “Reality”.  Look into it. And no, regarding those memos, I really don’t care about what’s being reported as tourture, because it isn’t torture, any more than being forced to listen to Barry Manilow covering AC/DC.   There’s a lot in the way of frantic sounding appeals to the high moral ground on this, all sounding like a ‘UNICEF’ PSA.  All nonsense, of course.   But look, even if it were torture…. and again I say…. even if it were, consider what happens to your moral and legal high ground if you don’t survive?  What happens is your enemy gets to choose what is moral and legal, what is not.  Somehow, that doesn’t strike me as furthering your goals. Unless, your goal is to lose thereby having your country… your society, as such, destroyed.Here’s a dose of reality for you, with all the appeals to artificially imposed nonsense stripped away:  War is the absence of law and morality. Law and Morality gets reestablished by the winners of the war. It’s that simple, and that direct. That’s a little known thing called ‘The reality of the situation’. It jolly well amazes me, the number of people who can’t deal with reality.
• What vaule?  But of what value is releasing these documents now? He’s after political value at home, and he wants us to look good to despots around the world. Sorry, that’s what it comes down to. Did anyone notice Obama sitting there like he was in some kind of classroom, while Crazy Uncle Hugo blasted US Policy?  Obama’s actions make clear he agrees with Crazy Hugo.
• A worth from the chair:  Stephen Hawking  could use some prayers and just good thoughts, just now.
• Budget Perspective: AP is making a lot of hay of Obama’s pledge to cut $100 million from the budget. It’s a lot of money, certainly. But,  in terms of percentage, it seems to me about on par with my family buying one less six pack of cola, this year.  Funny, how the story never seems to mention what kind of percentage is being run, here.
• No representation without taxation:  Strange as this may sound, I can willingly sign on to Derb’s call.  Those who don’t pay taxes, don’t vote. Of course this would effectively remove most Democrat voters from the voting booth… but I really don’t care what party they’re with. If they’re not constitubting to the funding, why are we allowing them to decide how that funding will be spent?
• Grassroots:  Anyone who thinks the April 15th protests are a Republican Party event, had better think again.
• The Green green grass of home: Glenn posts more pictures of Tea Party activity. Here, too.
• Gorby? Is that you?  Speaking of Glenn, he wonders:  OBAMA: The American Gorbachev?  well, yeah, if by that you mean a failed Socialist,  who bows to tin pot dictators, yeah. Seems a reasonable comparison, at that.

• Welcome Back, Carter:  Iran is currently holding a Jurnalist in Iran for ‘Spying’.  She’s currently going through what is laughingly called their appeals process.  Meanwhile NORK is doing the same to Two Americans. Interestingly, we seem to have a pattern developing, here… one we never saw under President Bush. Can it be that the more ‘conciliatory’ (Read: Ass kissing) tone Obama’s projecting, is leaving us more open to these things?

  Obviously, the answer is “No”, and is no less valid for our having repeatedly given it over the years. This stuff all comes out, though,when there’s a liberal in charge. We saw it under Carter, and Clinton, too. Of course, we were called liars for our pains.

Beneathy Mrs. Pelosi snide remarks about Astroturfing, the Obama administraation Homeland Security hit piece, and David Axelrod faux concern about “unhealthy”,  the Tea Parties appear to have made ‘rats, especially the congressional  ones nervous, Jennifer Rubin, Commentary Magazine:

Well, it seems the administration is stumped. Who knew there would be a limit to the amount Congress would be willing to tax and spend? The Congress – Democrats included – are getting nervous about raising taxes to pay for a huge new domestic agenda. When Sen. Kent Conrad cautions that we are talking about “hundreds of billions” for healthcare, one senses that there is perhaps greater distance between the Congress and the White House on spending than between the Congress and all those tea party protesters. Maybe the fact that 435 congressmen and one third of the Senate must face the public in less than two years has the legislators’ enthusiasm for another round of spending (and the required tax hikes) running thin

On to the Fourth of July Party.

CQ Politics: Democratic Congresswoman Jane Harman told an Israeli agent that she would lobby for a reduced sentence for a spy for help in getting a committee chairmanship.

And guess what committee chairmanship she wanted…

Intelligence.

The CQ Politics story said NSA taped the multi-millionaire Harman making the offer more than two years ago — a court-approved wiretap.

“These claims are an outrageous and recycled canard, and have no basis in fact,” Harman said in a prepared statement. “I never engaged in any such activity. Those who are peddling these false accusations should be ashamed of themselves.”

CQ Politics noted: “It’s true that allegations of pro-Israel lobbyists trying to help Harman get the chairmanship of the intelligence panel by lobbying and raising money for Pelosi aren’t new. …And that, contrary to reports that the Harman investigation was dropped for ‘lack of evidence,’ it was Alberto R. Gonzales, President Bush’s top counsel and then attorney general, who intervened to stop the Harman probe.”

All of which raises the question: Who is now angry at her, and why, so as to prompt this stuff being brouught up now?  The most likely source for the the order to re-start this would seem to be the White House. Can this be a reflection of Obama’s will to reduce Israel’s relationship with the US, so as to increase that of  the ‘Palastinians’?

I find it ironic that while Barack Obama is intent sucking up to wannabe dictator for life, Hugo Chavez, but so intent on abusing average Americans.   Further, it is striking about the depth and diversity of the Tea Partiers, Andrew Malcolm, Los Angeles Times:

So, much of the commentary emanating from Washington and its self-important sister city of New York on last week’s several hundred tea parties was how they were so well-organized by unorganized, leaderless Republicans desperate for anything to oppose the awesomely popular President Obama.

From working our local sources, reading comments and blogs and exchanging Tweets with many Ticket followers, the tea parties struck us much the same as the Ron Paul movement of 2007-08, a semi-spontaneous grass-roots eruption of emotion, unease, anger, inchoate thoughts, coherent arguments, cultural variations and anti-big-government sentiments with the main targets of spending and taxes by big government, in that order

In contrast, the defenders of the one can’t seem to get past one taking point and one stale joke, David Axelrod as attributed by the Associated Press:

“The thing that bewilders me is this president just cut taxes for 95 percent of the American people. So I think the tea bags should be directed elsewhere because he certainly understands the burden that people face,”

Memo to Axelrod: one. find a second talking point; and two, drop the tearoom humor.

I’m sick of people knocking embarrassing videos off YouTube with bogus copyright violation claims.

The latest culprit is CNN, a network that was recently embarrassed by a video of reporter Susan Roesgen cutting off tea-party protestors in Chicago, and assailing them with silly liberal talking points. The blog Founding Bloggers showed up on scene and caught her in further arguments with angry citizens who noted her biased coverage. I posted the Founding Bloggers video on Thursday

Patterico, among others, has reposted a copy of the Founding Bloggers video.   The video which CNN finds so embrassing will be reposted as fast as CNN can knock them down.  Here one video in to which CNN no copy right claim and which Shep Smith openly sports Roesgen:

Rosy O’Donnell might be advised to petition CNN to keep Roesgen’s sorry donkey.   That would keep O’Donnell as the second dumbest Rosy in the media.
