Are the Obami behind the anti Tea Party Astroturf? From Erick Erickson, Redstate
:
Glenn Greenwald at Salon noted Barack Obama’s new head of the Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs, Cass Sunstein, had championed creating fake websites and using outside 501(c)(3) interest groups to act as alleged independent champions of government policy and to “cognitively infiltrate” opposition websites, etc. In other words, Cass Sunstein has favored the government using outside parties as government propaganda agents to paint their opposition as fringe and undermine their credibility
Given that the fake tea party participants have having about as much effect as the so-called stimulus. The Obami are not noted for their brains. National Socialist – 1: Mob – 0. What does is say about our nation when the National Socialists parade in Los Angeles and show up a diverse crowd of Americans, legal and otherwise, from the Los Angeles Times: White supremacist rally at L.A. City Hall draws violent counter-protest
Two men are beaten by mobs of counter-protesters, and five are arrested for throwing objects at the neo-Nazis and their police escorts. […] The rally ended around 2:30 p.m. with counter-protesters rushing toward the criminal courts building parking lot where the white supremacists had parked their cars. Dozens of them hurled rocks and glass bottles at the neo-Nazis and their police escorts. One vehicle failed to start. As a group of white supremacists attempted to jump-start the car, others raised swastika-emblazoned shields over their heads to protect themselves from projectiles. After the white supremacists left, police allowed the crowds to dissipate. I will not defend the ideas of the National Socialists. However, for at least one day, I commend their behavior. As for the rather diverse mob, they should look to model the peaceful behavior of those they were attacking.

WASHINGTON — Defense Secretary Robert M. Gates has warned in a secret three-page memorandum to top White House officials that the United States does not have an effective long-range policy for dealing with Iran‘s steady progress toward nuclear capability, according to government officials familiar with the document.
So says the New York Times. Well, heck, I could have told you that much.
Several officials said the highly classified analysis, written in January to President Obama’s national security adviser, Gen. James L. Jones, came in the midst of an intensifying effort inside the Pentagon, the White House and the intelligence agencies to develop new options for Mr. Obama. They include a set of military alternatives, still under development, to be considered should diplomacy and sanctions fail to force Iran to change course.
What we have here is a situation where even if these agencies and individuals came up with alternatives for Mr. Obama, the likelihood is he would never accept them. Mr. Obama and his foreign policy, have placed us in this situation to begin with, and there’s no way that his subordinates are going to be able to work his way out of it, particularly given the lack of cooperation to that end from the current White House occupant. Obama is still firmly convinced that diplomacy is the only way out of the situation, and continues to ignore the indications that every attempt he has made at his brand of diplomacy has miserably failed to the ultimate goal. As an example, ‘nuclear summit’ which meant nothing in the real world.
Being in Iraq and Afghanistan put us in this situation of having a chokehold on Iran. Obama, peaceful guy that he is, decides to back off of that situation which results in Iran in getting the bomb. Someone explain to me how this is a peaceful act in reality?
Barring some kind of real-world preventative medicine administered by Israel Iran will hit a nuclear capability. If Israel does take action, I will guarantee you that instead of standing beside our long-term friend, this White House will publicly disown them.

From the article:
And all that information follows that customer into the mall. For example, if a man walks into a Filene’s Basement to buy a suit for his wedding and shows a coupon he retrieved online, the company’s marketing agency can figure out whether he used the search terms “Hugo Boss suit” or “discount wedding clothes” to research his purchase (just don’t tell his fiancée).
Interesting and disturbing privacy implications.

Whites House denies Elena Kagan is a Frank and denies that there anything wrong with that, Howard Kurtz, Washington Post:
The White House ripped CBS News on Thursday for publishing an online column by a blogger who made assertions about the sexual orientation of Solicitor General Elena Kagan, widely viewed as a leading candidate for the Supreme Court.
Ben Domenech, a former Bush administration aide and Republican Senate staffer, wrote that President Obama would “please” much of his base by picking the “first openly gay justice.” An administration official, who asked not to be identified discussing personal matters, said Kagan is not a lesbian.
Ok, I made up the last part. Evidently the Obami feeling that outing is reserved for conservatives, or something.
More, Robert Stacy McCAin:
This is hilarious. Potential Supreme Court nominee Elena Kagan is gayer than the first three rows at an Indigo Girls concert, and yet the White House acts all outraged that conservative writer Ben Domenech incorrectly described the unmarried 49-year-old as “openly gay.”
Kagan is not officially so open about it, and this gives the White House a chance to pretend that Domenech is part of a right-wing homophobic whisper campaign
President Potemkin’s Florida Dumbo and Pony Show, Doug Ross:
Another Soviet-style performance: Obama’s NASA speech was completely staged — not a single NASA worker was permitted to attend
Interviewed on MSNBC, a visibly shaken Jay Barbree — the longtime NBC science correspondent — described the duplicity of President Obama. Put simply, Obama’s campaign rhetoric — that he would preserve NASA’s cutting-edge science and engineering expertise — was, like so many of his promises, a fabrication. And he couldn’t even tell them to their faces.
Press tires of steady diet of pony poop, Dan K. Thonasson, Chicago Sun-Times:
President Obama and his minions, on the other hand, seem to have decided that long-held traditions of a ubiquitous free press geared to reporting everything big or small in his day is actually a detriment to his goals. He has even on at least one occasion shaken the press pool to its foundation by hustling secretly off without reportorial accompaniment, utterly ignoring the possibility that something might happen to him without the knowledge of his subjects, the American people.
Press kicks the shovel, Mike Allen, Politicio:
White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs met with a delegation from the White House press corps for 75 minutes on Thursday in an effort to improve frayed relations between the two sides.
Is Mrs Pelosi blind, or just stupid, Eleanor Clift, Newsweak:
It took just three weeks for upstate New York Democratic Rep. Eric Massa to resign his seat in Congress after accusations surfaced that he had sexually harassed members of his staff. The long trail of unwanted and often abusive advances that preceded his resignation—and why his alleged behavior went unreported for so long—highlights how much Capitol Hill is a feudal society, with each member the lord of his or her own territory.
[…]
Members of the Democratic leadership, which is responsible for disciplining its members, maintain they knew very little about Massa’s not-so-secret life.
Then come to think about it, nobody has ever accused Mrs. Pelosi of being smart.

Adding stress to an already stressful situation is not a good idea, especially when dealing with the U.S. Army. While deployed in the desert, around a dozen men found out their wives back on the post were being investigated for a crime. What in the hell?
All fun and games until…
It all started with a “GNO,” a girls’ night out. Imagine the setting: alcoholic beverages flood, women giggle and shriek like little school girls (accompanied by “jazz hands” gestures), and finger foods colorfully dot and decorate the kitchen counter tops. Music plays—the kind that encourages dancing and singing out the chorus (cue: Bon Jovi’s “Living on a Prayer”). The typical conversation fodder ranges from marital topics and men to parenting yarns to fashion discoveries and even to hairstyles of the “do” and “don’t” variety. Good female bonding and fellowship galore, right?
Get ready for gossip, maligning, and sin. Amongst military spouses (the women), these type of game nights are very popular, especially in military housing areas. This revelry centers on a dice game of luck, Bunco, or as some people like to call it, “Drunko.” The game requires many different seating opportunities, so as to max out gregarious interactions. The “head table” rings the bell to begin and pretty much runs the show from there. Alas, the social pyramid is set. Let the games begin.
It is common for a Bunco Night to occur once a month and usually by invitation only. For some, being invited to Bunco the first time is almost like an audition to see if they are cool enough to be invited back. Those head table ladies run the invite list and would decide amongst themselves who made a good fit for the next time. If someone seemed like a square peg, then the head table ladies would arrange to lose the square’s number.
Typically, the ladies are on their best behavior until the booze begins to soak in, then tongues start to wag about whoever isn’t there. And on one Army post’s friendly game night of Bunco, sticky fingers got in on the game as well. At the end of the night, the hostess of that night’s festivities had her purse lifted!
No one admitted to the heist, but an informal group decision was made on “who dunnit.” The prime suspect, although never arrested (for no one ever was), suddenly became persona non grata and public enemy number one amongst the Bunco Drunkos. Her name was mud. The peer pressure to not have anything to do with her was fierce. If you were spotted with the assumed pilferer, you became guilty by association. Things spiraled out of control—the hearsay had hit a fever pitch.
When the guys rolled back in from the desert, they had to contain their wives and try to return a sense of normalcy to the social climate on the post. The commander had to, well, command, that the men control their dependents. Disorder and chaos within the spousal ranks is certainly a morale killer for everyone.
GNOs and Bunco gatherings are meant to be a time for women to come together, enjoy commonalities, and make deeper friendships; but, they can instead turn into vehicles for women to beat upon each other. Perhaps in the case of the missing designer bag “who dunnit” mystery tour, that night’s game of choice should’ve been the classic board game, Clue, and not Bunco. Maybe Colonel Mustard’s wife did do it in the dining room with the rope?

I know. it’s been a week or so since you’ve heard from me. It’s shameful the way I’ve let my writing here slide. I plead guilty with this as an excuse… I managed to locate a new job that looks like it’ll keep my head above water. Another driving job, and a fairly local one at that. ( I’m home about every night.. a unique situation in professional driving) All this bit with the job came up kinda sudden and it was a great opportunity, so I jumped at it. It’s been keeping me busy close on 14 hours a day which is good because I need the money just now.
But, it does keep me pretty well disconnected. Here’s one of the rigs I drive; I’ve not been assigned one full time yet, but thsi one I’d like to keep.. It’s an International 9400 (?) with perhaps a million miles on it. For all that, it handles very well indeed. The Detroit 60 series 12 liter engine giving it around 450hp and a rather impressive 1800ft/lbs of torque. That goes to a Fuller Super-10 speed, which I’m more comfortable with than the straight 10- speeds, or anything else for that matter. It needs some serious cleaning, inside and out, but past that, it shows a lot of promise.
Now that the job is pretty well online, and I’m getting the hang of their system of doing things, and I’m adjusting to the schedule this job imposes, I’ll be able to spend a bit of time getting reconnected. I’m setting up a new phone with a mobile HotSpot, which means I will be able to get a laptop to access the web with. Which in turn means I’m not so disconnected.
I want to take a moment to say thanks to all the folks who have been helping keep this place afloat…. You know who you are.
Special thanks to Dave and Art.
That said, there’s lots to do around here. I’ll be posting a fair amount of stuff this weekend, I promise.

“Isn’t the only hope for the planet that the industrialized civilizations collapse? Isn’t it our responsibility to bring that about?” -Maurice Strong, Head of the 1992 Earth Summit in Rio de Janeiro
“Given the total, absolute, and final disappearance of Homo Sapiens, then , not only would the Earth’s Community of Life continue to exist, but… the ending of the human epoch on Earth would most likely be greeted with a hearty ‘Good riddance!'” – Paul Taylor from his book “Respect for Nature”
“To create an ecologically sound, sustainable economy will require sweeping changes in the major systems of production– agriculture, industry, energy, and transportation. This will cost us perhaps $100 billion annually for the next ten years or more.” – Barry Commoner, from “Fighting Toxics”
“Childbearing [should be] a punishable crime against society, unless the parents hold a government license…. All potential parents [should be] required to use contraceptive chemicals, the government issuing antidotes to citizens chosen for childbearing.” – David Bower of “Friends of the Earth”
“The right to have children should be a marketable commodity, bought and traded by individuals but absolutely limited by the state.” – Kenneth Boulding, originator of the “Spaceship Earth”.
“The cleavage in the modern world between mind and body, man and nature, has created a new kind of addiction: I believe that our civilization is, in effect, addicted to the consumption of the earth itself.” – V.P. Al Gore (from “Earth in the Balance” p. 220)
?
“To secure our environmental legacy for future generations, we must find ways to reconcile humanity more satisfactorily with the natural system upon which all human life and civilization depend. We must recognize that the natural systems of which we are a part have an intrinsic worth transcending narrow utilitarian values.” – William Reilly, Former administrator of the E.P.A.
“We’ve poisoned the air, the water, and the land. In our passion to control nature, things have gone out of control. Progress from now on has to mean something different. We’re running out of resources and we’re running out of time.” – Robert Redford, actor. Sits on the boards of Friends of the Earth USA, the Environmental Defense Fund, and the Natural Resources Defense Council. The above quote appears in “Save the Earth”
“We’ve already had too much economic growth in the United States. Economic growth in rich countries like ours is the disease, not the cure.” – Paul Ehrlich, Stamford University. Author of “Population Bomb”
“If radical environmentalists were to invent a disease to bring human populations back to sanity, it would probably be something like AIDS. It [AIDS] has the potential to end industrialism, which is the main force behind the environmental crises.” – From the Earth First! newsletter.
“The extinction of the human species may not only be inevitable, but a good thing….. This is not to say that the rise of human civilization is insignificant, but there is no way of showing that it will be much help to the world in the long run.” -The Economist (editorialized from the respected London weekly)
“I got the impression that instead of going out to shoot birds, I should go out and shoot the kids who shoot birds.” – Paul Watson, founder of Greenpeace.
“We have to offer up scary scenarios, make simplified dramatic statements, and make little mention of any doubts we may have. Each of us has to decide what the right balance is between being effective and being honest.” – Stephen Schneider (proponent of global warming and ozone depletion theories)
?
” Human happiness, and certainly human fecundity, are not as important as a wild and healthy planet. I know social scientists who remind me that people are part of nature, but it isn’t true. Somewhere along the line — at about a billion years ago, maybe half that — we quit the contract and became a cancer. We have become a plague upon ourselves and upon the Earth.” – David M. Graber, biologist with the National Park Service
“We must at least outline the most critical steps necessary to limit affluence (or at least those aspects of affluence that depend on material consumption) and to reduce the environmental impacts of the technologies that provide the goods consumed.” – Paul Ehrlich, from “The Population Explosion”
“In looking at human history, we can see that we have lost more in our rise to civilization than we have gained. We can see that life in a hunter-gatherer society was on the whole healthier, happier, and more secure than our lives today as peasants, industrial workers, or business executives.” – Dave Foreman, (Earth First! co-founder and board of directors of the Sierra Club) from “Confessions of an Eco-Warrior”
“We have been too reasonable, too calm, too understanding. It’s time to get angry, to cry, to let rage flow at what the HUMAN CANCER is doing to Earth, to be uncompromising.” – Dave Foreman, from “Confessions of an Eco-Warrior”

Mrs Clinton still stuck on stupid, Telegraph(UK):
The US Secretary of State urged “bold leadership” from all sides to resolve one of the world’s most intractable disputes.
Speaking at a dinner attended by the ambassadors of Israel and several Arab states, Mrs Clinton urged Israel to “refrain from unilateral statements and actions” that could undermine peace.
Prime Minister [Benjamin] Netanyahu has embraced the vision of the two-state solution,” she said.
“But easing up on access and movement in the West Bank, in response to credible Palestinian security performance, is not sufficient to prove to the Palestinians that this embrace is sincere
Jerusalem is neither a settlement nor a provocation. Rather it is the ancient, historic capital of the Jewish state. Mrs. Clinton might as well declare Rome off-limits to Catholics.
Elie Wiesel, on Jerusalem, via Jennifer Rubin, Commentary:
For me, the Jew that I am, Jerusalem is above politics. It is mentioned more than six hundred times in Scripture — and not a single time in the Koran. Its presence in Jewish history is overwhelming. There is no more moving prayer in Jewish history than the one expressing our yearning to return to Jerusalem. To many theologians, is IS Jewish history, to many poets, a source of inspiration. It belongs to the Jewish people and is much more than a city, it is what binds one Jew to another in a way that remains hard to explain. When a Jew visits Jerusalem for the first time, it is not the first time; it is a homecoming. The first song I heard was my mother’s lullaby about and for Jerusalem. Its sadness and joy are part of our collective memory
Then I really doubt that Mrs. Clinton gives a darn what a effing Jew thinks about his historical capital city. You can not create a two state solution when one state refuses to recognize the other state’s very right to exist. Much like Mrs. Clinton belief in the right of the yet to be born to live.

I am not in the mood to listen to the Obami sanctimonious calls for civility in general, and simply will not abide former president, and still reprobate, B.J. Clinton’s galling hypocricy, from Fox News:

Hat tip and more, Nice Deb:
As Breitbart rolled off noted examples of left-wing violence against conservatives, he neglected to mention the most recent example – the brutal beating of a Governor Jindal staffer and her boyfriend in New Orleans, this past weekend, which is increasingly looking like it was politically motivated.
And one Andrew didn’t mention, Nice Deb on the savage beating of Allee Bautsch and Joe Brown:
The Hayride has been covering this story since it broke: a young Jindal staffer and her boyfriend were savagely beaten after leaving Brennan’s restaurant in the French Quarter, where a Republican fund-raiser was being held. A group of anarchists had been protesting the SRLC in front of the Hilton, and had later marched down to Brennan’s to protest the “rich Republican plutocrats”.
Allee Bautsch suffered a broken leg, and her boyfriend Joe Brown suffered a broken nose, a broken jaw, and a concussion.

Obami, fly shat, pepper, boxing gloves, Robert Spencer, Front Line Magazine:
Barack Obama has removed all mention of Islam from the National Security Strategy document, which during the Bush Administration said: “The struggle against militant Islamic radicalism is the great ideological conflict of the early years of the 21st century.” Obama apparently agrees with Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who said Monday: “Islam and terrorism cannot be mentioned together, because they are contradictory to each other.”
Erdogan, incidentally, also famously said this about “moderate Islam”: “These descriptions are very ugly, it is offensive and an insult to our religion. There is no moderate or immoderate Islam. Islam is Islam and that’s it.” And that statement itself demonstrates one of the key fallacies of the Obama Administration’s stance that Islam has nothing to do with, uh, Islamic terrorism.

Former New York Gov. George Pataki (R) decided not to run for the Senate this fall because he may have a higher goal in mind — the presidency, according to National Republican Senatorial Committee Chairman John Cornyn (R-Texas).
Cornyn said he had been trying to recruit Pataki to challenge Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-N.Y.) for a year and a half, but Pataki announced this week he’s not interested in the Senate.
Pataki’s political train left the station ten years ago. I voted for Pataki three times, and I don’t think that Pataki could be elected dog catcher inside the state. Outside, of New York I’d give Ron Paul(R-Moon) a better shot that Pataki. George if you want to run for president start acting like a candidate, if y0u can.
Cheers for me, I gotta like this argument from National Review:
If Only Women Died On The Job As Much as Men [Jonah Goldberg]
Mark Perry makes a great point. One of the reasons why men make more money than women is that they’re more likely to be paid to risk their lives. Obviously, if we fairly close the pay gap, these two bars will look alike:
I like the graphics, and may borrow them. However the statistics and the argument ought to look familiar, yours truly from March 18:
As to the seventy cents on the dollar myth, women’s is different than men’s, because women make different choices. When the last time you called a plumber in the middle of the night and a woman responded? Men and women make different choices. Difference choices leads to different outcomes. Example the Bureau of Labor Statistics listing of job related fatalities for the year 2008:
Men……………………………………………………………… 4,703
Women…………………………………………………………… 368That is over twelve men killed on the job for every women. Put those statistics in your tail and chew on it honey.
I don’t argue that statistics are the be and and end all However I hold that if you want to play the statistics game, I’ll play and play it better.

Either a very stupid Obami or devious counter plant by Karl Rove, video:
Hat tip: Glenn Reynolds, Instapundit.
The Americans for Prosperity video is so good, that I have no need for additional commentary. BZ gentlemen.
Missouri Congressman Russ Carnahan is a traitor*, from Ed Martin, candidate for Congress :
As Americans prepare to file and pay their taxes, it’s come to light that Rep. Russ Carnahan may be skimping on his. The Congressman avoids paying personal property taxes on his 42-foot yacht by docking it in Alton, Illinois instead of his hometown.
“Illinois does not have a statewide property tax. Property is taxed on the local level only, and includes only real property such as land, buildings or permanent facilities.” (St. Louis Regional Chamber and Growth Association; Taxes and Incentives)
Ironically just a few hours ago, Rep. Carnahan gave the following quote on tax cuts to the Associated Press.”From investing in small business to buying a home or making it energy efficient, to sending your children to college to buying a car, these tax cuts are helping families and businesses across the country,” said Rep. Russ Carnahan, D-Mo.” (AP Stephen Ohlemacher April 14, 2010) So how does the tax cut on his yacht, Congressman Carnahan took for himself, help families and businesses across the country? Like so many Washington insiders Carnahan doesn’t think the rules apply to him.

[*] If the logic applies to the Tea Party goose it also applies to the democrat gander.

Taxing the sick to pay for Obama Care, David Freddoso, Washington Examiner:
You don’t think Democrats in Congress would knock over their own cancer-stricken mothers to squeeze out a few extra dollars for earmarks? Oh, you’re so wrong.
Currently, people with massive medical expenses — more than 7.5 percent of their income — can deduct them on their taxes. Under Obamacare, the threshold goes up to 10 percent in 2013 for younger taxpayers and in 2017 for older ones.
According to the Hill, this unnoticed tax hike will squeeze $15.2 billion out of 15 million very sick people, 99 percent of whom make less than $200,000 per year
Dana, he is just not that in to you, Dana Milbanks notices, finally, that his Dim Leader is simply does not have much use for a free and open press, Washington Post:
In the middle of it all was Obama — occupant of an office once informally known as “leader of the free world” — putting on a clinic for some of the world’s greatest dictators in how to circumvent a free press.
The only part of the summit, other than a post-meeting news conference, that was visible to the public was Obama’s eight-minute opening statement, which ended with the words: “I’m going to ask that we take a few moments to allow the press to exit before our first session.”
Dana you might has noticed the distinct lack of press conferences Dumbo had during the campaign. The fact is that Obama is simply not articulate and prefers scripts to free discussions. Or hadn’t you noticed before?
A GOP carpet bagger in New York, WHEC-TV:
Former Buffalo Bills defensive lineman Fred Smerlas, currently a New England resident, is considering becoming a New Yorker once again. This time, however, Smerlas will be competing for something else: Congress
. Smerlas is being mentioned as a possible candidate to run against Democrat Louise Slaughter.
We New Yorkers seem to fond of electing carpet baggers to Congress, to wit Bobby Kennedy and Mrs. B.J. Clinton. However a republican carpet bagger would be new one. I think Louise can be had. i don’t know if Freddy the one to do it. Alas not by district anyhow.
Curses, foiled again, from Fausta:
Arianna goes on a snit
because her website got only one table at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner:
Arianna huffs about overbooked celebs at WHCD
[…]
Huffington asked for three tables, and on the assumption that her wish would be granted, invited 14 celebrity guests in advance, but only got one table.
If Zsa-Zsa ain’t happy, ain’t nobody happy.
Rats Eric, Arianna got one more table than the Swamp Stompers. How will I ever live down the shame? Well i don’t like fried chicken anyhow. I am being to suspect that Fausta doesn’t like Arianna. Who’d have thunk?

Disgusting, TFD, from Elizabeth Scalia, Anchoress, I have a few suggestions for Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper to tell Dim Won where he can put his finger. Suggstion?
Tea Party getting results, Sean Higgins, Investors Business Daily:
House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer, D-Md., told reporters today that the Tea Party movement is making some members of Congress mull retirement.
“Do I think the negative atmosphere that has been created by the Tea Party and by others certainly goes into the thinking of members? I think it does. I think you have to honestly point out that it does,” he told reporters Tuesday.
I suggest that the Tea Party anger is being fueled by the sheer arrogance and utter incompetence of the Obami, see Taranto below . To wit, consider that Steny Hoyer just voted to cut off his own health insurance. And he thinks he can manage your health care needs.
Also causing leftard panic, Carol Platt Liebau, Townhall:
Unable to tolerate fellow Americans dissenting peacefully against their government’s policies, the Left has set up a web site — known as “Crash the Tea Party” — encouraging people to pose as Tea Partiers and then “behave in ways which exaggerate their least appealing qualities . . . to damage the public’s opinion of them.”
Obviously, this trick is right out of Saul Alinsky’s playbook.
But it also means that ugly behavior by supposed tea partiers can’t be taken at face value
The Obama Care Monster, James Taranto, Wall Street Journal:
ObamaCare is proving to be even more of a shambles than critics had expected. Is this because the Democrats who currently run Congress are unusually incompetent? Tempting as it is to say yes, probably not. Put it down, instead, to hubris and haste. In their mad rush to outrun public opinion and impose “universal health care” on their unwilling constituents, Harry Pelosi, Nancy Reid & Co. simply didn’t bother paying attention to the details.
John Paul Stevens, Goodbye and good riddance, Thomas Sowell, RCP:
When Supreme Court Justices retire, there is usually some pious talk about their “service,” especially when it has been a long “service.” But the careers of all too many of these retiring jurists, including currently retiring Justice John Paul Stevens, have been an enormous disservice to this country.
Justice Stevens was on the High Court for 35 years– more’s the pity, or the disgrace. Justice Stevens voted to sustain racial quotas, created “rights” out of thin air for terrorists, and took away American citizens’ rights to their own homes in the infamous “Kelo” decision of 2005.
Did Obama Care throw Congresscritters under the bus? The retards in Congress who voted for Obama Care may have thrown themselves out of their government health care plan, Allah Pundit, Hot Air:
In other words, theoretically the law[Obama Care] kicks them[members of Congress] out of the federal health plan now in order to force them to join insurance exchanges … that don’t exist yet. Looking forward to tomorrow, when we’re inevitably told that they meant to do that. Exit question for lawyers: Who would have standing to sue to force the federal health plan to drop Congress now? Any citizen, or is it more refined than that?
It was stupid for the Obami to vote for a health care bill they had never read, and which they were not given time to read.
Obama Care Hard Sell, video:
Hat tip: Fausta
Obama Care would be hard to sell even if one knew the actual provisions and was articulate. Sadly for Dim Won, he is neither.
