Is David Saltonstall the New Face of NAMBLA?

David Saltonstall,  Daily News, (New York) tries his hand at hit a piece, “”Rush Limbaugh is rich, nasty and now de facto don of Republican Party:”

If Rush Limbaugh is the new face of the Republican Party, it’s a face with lots of scars.

“The Republican Party’s entire modern identity is built on order, on always having an obvious designated leader,” said Democratic political consultant James Carville. “So this is unprecedented chaos for them.”

So what if Rush is rich.   He earned it, every penny.    Ted Kennedy is rich,  nasty, and he never earned a dime.

Quoting Carville takes the prize.  Carville is nasty:

“Mr. Richardson’s endorsement came right around the anniversary of the day when Judas sold out for 30 pieces of silver, so I think the timing is appropriate, if ironic.”

About the only current allegation Saltonstall makes is the Rush slammed Rahm Emanuel and Paul Begala.   Awe!

Sherman Fredrick, Las Vegas Review-Journal, notes the difference between Barack Obama soaring rhetoric of the campaign, and the dingy reality of BO’s presidency:

Obama’s no virgin to earmarks. Before he ran for president, he submitted 112 earmarks totaling more that $330 million. After he became a candidate, he submitted zero saying: “We can no longer accept a process that doles out earmarks based on a member of Congress’ seniority, rather than the merit of the project.”

Empty rhetoric, it turns out, because when Obama became president, he signed the $787 billion so-called “stimulus” bill filled with earmarks. And now he’s promised to sign a $410 billion omnibus spending bill with 9,000 earmarks totaling $5 billion.

Evidently BO’s primary interest is running for office.    Keeping his campaign promise to eliminate earmarks was the easiest promise for him to keep, BO has the total authority he needs without having to grovell for cooperation from Mrs. Pelosi and Dirty Harry Reid.

Ha ha. Yes, I have this picture of President Obama sitting in the White House, thinking I hate my job. He was all about running for President. What did he really know about being President?

Rich Moran,  American Thinker, asks, “Maybe we should schedule some nap time for our president?”   Whereas Larry Klayman wants to know who picking up the check for BO’s endless string of parties:

Barack and Michelle Obama have been throwing taxpayer funded parties nearly every night with their ‘friends’ and supporters, with Michelle Obama even exhorting them not to ‘break’ White House property,” Klayman’s announcement said.

“This party atmosphere sends the wrong message to the American people. As the Obama-Clinton crowd party on, the American people are suffering greatly,” Klayman said.

Sacrifice for you, party time for BO.

To be honest, in my weirder moods, I’m not totally convinced that the old boy didn’t have some ulterior  motive in mind.  Like, for example, A grand experiment.  What happens, when you put the entire eastern seaboard on jet lag?

Foresighted people these founders of ours, inventing jet lag before the jet was invented.  And for that matter, before anybody really knew that there would be four hours of time difference between what would ultimately be our coasts.

Whatever.

Consider this a reminder; if you’re on the East Coast and you didn’t push your clocks an hour forward last night, you might want to check them.  Else, you’re gonna be late for work in the morning.

As for me, I am going to go with what Michelle implies:

Team Obama’s image experts, perhaps hung over from all the Camelot-recreating Wednesday cocktail parties that are now a signature of the new administration, have fallen down on the job

This not to say that Rick, Jen, the Brits, or Ed are necessarily wrong, but BO is simply too busy partying to be bothered with that governing thing.     After all it not his 401K which is crashing.   He has no reason to care and he doesn’t.

WASHINGTON – President Obama will announce Monday that he is reversing Bush administration limits on federal financing for embryonic stem cell research as part of a pledge to separate science and politics, White House officials said Friday.

We dare not call it civilizied.

I’ve been a fan of the Buffalo Bills for 30 years.

No longer.

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (AP) — Terrell Owens needed only two days to find another place to play.

The Buffalo Bills decided to take a chance on the talented but high-maintenance receiver, signing Owens to a $6.5 million, one-year deal Saturday.

The 35-year-old Owens caught 69 passes for 1,052 yards and 10 touchdowns last season with Dallas. But the Cowboys were looking to improve the atmosphere in the locker room and decided they would be better off without him.

So would Buffalo.

The Bills,  over the long years since Ralph started them in the old AFL, made a habit of avoiding ‘troublesome’ players like this. That was a major reason I was a fan. Win or lose, we had quality people. Not just people who could, but usually didn’t, play like they gave a crap.

That ends with this signing.

Shame on you, Ralph. You know better.

Having  successfully spent the last six months talking down the economy, President Barack Obama now wants to do the same thing to Afghanistan, New York Times:

WASHINGTON – President Obama declared in an interview that the United States was not winning the war in Afghanistan and opened the door to a reconciliation process in which the American military would reach out to moderate elements of the Taliban, much as it did with Sunni militias in Iraq.

Given BO’s record on the economy,  I suggest he should stick to his partying, and quite trying pretend he has the first clue with respect to foreign policy.

More proof that Global warming is a hoax:

A major scientific report by leading Japanese academics concludes that global warming is not man-made and that the overall warming trend from the mid-part of the 20th Century onwards has now stopped.
Unsurprisingly the report, which was released last month, has been completely ignored by the Western corporate media.

The report was undertaken by Japan Society of Energy and Resources (JSER), the academic society representing scientists from the energy and resource fields.
The JSER acts as a government advisory panel, much like the International Panel on Climate Change did for the UN.

From this, we learn three things;

1. Global warming is a hoax.
2. Anything done in its name is a sham.
3. The press is so far in the tank on this issue that they will ignore anything that this proves what they’ve been trying to spoon feed us.

It’s interesting;  since I made the prediction that Barack Obama would emulate the policies of George W. Bush, written just after the inauguration and posted at Pajamas Media, it is flat out amazing the number of people who have come to the conclusion that that prediction was spot on.

Today we have another couple such, from the Washington Post and interestingly from the Wall Street Journal who compares the situation not to Bush, but to Dick Cheney.

Well, I finally got my Treo 650 working. There are a few odd issues with it, (And we’ll discuss those later) …but for the most part the thing is wonderful, particularly given the $50 I paid for it.

I’ve gotten the unlimited bandwith deal, since I consume bandwidth in staggering amounts even while mobile.

One of the reasons I got the thing was that feedback mail was sitting in my in box for hours at a time, without my knowing about it. Now, I can get my mail anytime, anywhere. I’d got the Palm tapping my email servers here, directly.

Nice to be able to keep track of everything while out and about. I’m working now on getting a posting channel available from the Palm, as well.

One issue that popped up with it was one of size and screen styling on the site. The theme I have running here at Bitsblog, I’m still very happy with, but it doesn’t work well with phones or PDA’s. Or, Iphones, either. Then again, looking around at Blogdom, not many others do, either.

So, I’ve added some programming to the site which should make life easier for mobile users. It’s WP-PDA. When you access this site from a Iphone or a PDA, it should now look like this pic to the right, pretty much. (Yes, the pic was stolen from the plug-in support site… easier for me than making my own to do the same thing, and besides, he’s not going to complain; I’m running a free ad for his product, that thousands of people will see!)

On the home page, the plugin runs through the ‘short post’ routines that you’d see active in the RSS feed, and so won’t show any pictures. Until, that is, you actually dive into an individual post.  The idea being to save on bandwith which is so important to folks who have a maximum bandwidth per month allowance

Mind, it does all this on the fly. This site now looks at the kind of browser you’re bringing the site up in, and adjusts to the proper CSS according to how I’ve got the client list laid out.  You need do nothing to get it working. As you can tell, I’m (very!) pleased with how it works.

So pleased in fact I’m going to do something I very rarely do… I’m going to make a reccomendation to fellow bloggers: If you’re running a WordPress site, you’ll want to check out this plugin. It makes all the difference to mobile users. Given the number of mobile users is increasing all the time, I’m looking at this as the future of webbing of all kinds, including Blogging.
