Medical abortion is the deliberate killing of an unborn human being. Conceiving a baby by accident is a poor excuse to have him killed. Yet it is an excuse. The following statement offers no excuse and can not be defended by civilized humans. One Lena Dunham on abortion, from Blaze:
“I feel so proud of them for their bravery, for their self-knowledge, and it was a really important moment for me then to realize I had internalized some of what society was throwing at us and I had to put it in the garbage,” she said. “Now I can say that I still haven’t had an abortion, but I wish I had.”
Even the Clinton’s, both B.J. and Mrs., feigned that abortion should be “safe[sic], legal and rare.” So congratulations to Miss Dunham for getting to left of even Mrs. Clinton. So Dunham wishes she had conceived a baby, just so that she could have him killed. I suppose in Dunham’s warped mind, she would consider these to be some sort of badge of honor. Lena Dunham: the Ghoul of the Day.
Liberals ask, well demand, that we accept abortion. I ask that liberals have the humanity not celebrate abortion.
The party of petulant losers attempted to sow the seeds of discontent in the Electoral College. They got historic results, but not the result wanted, from Townhall:
As it turns out, all of those reports about rogue electors have actually manifested themselves as Democratic rogue electors. Someone in Minnesota tried to vote for nobody before being swapped out for a Hillary voter. An elector in Maine cast a vote for Bernie Sanders, and then switched his vote back to Clinton at a second ballot. Colorado had an elector who tried to defect from Clinton.
However, these all pale to what went down in Washington state. In Washington state four of the state’s 12 Electoral College votes went to someone other than Clinton:
So much for having Michael Moore plan your campaign strategy. One has to wonder just what stunt Moore will plot next. I don’t know why Moore is so upset about an election in the United State. His favorite country, Cuba, has not has free election in over sixty years.
Most candidates are content to lose but once. Mrs. Clinton seems addicted to losing. In Aught Eight she lost the nomination to a rookie senator. She rode Jill Stein’s phony recount to another loss, and her palace coup failed to take the Electoral College. Mrs. Clinton makes William Jennings Byrant’s record look good.
From Legal Information Institute:
18 U.S. Code § 2381 – Treason
Whoever, owing allegiance to the United States, levies war against them or adheres to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort within the United States or elsewhere, is guilty of treason and shall suffer death, or shall be imprisoned not less than five years and fined under this title but not less than $10,000; and shall be incapable of holding any office under the United States.
(June 25, 1948, ch. 645, 62 Stat. 807; Pub. L. 103-322, title XXXIII, §?330016(2)(J), Sept. 13, 1994, 108 Stat. 2148.)
Raw Story accuse Donald Trump of Treason:
Appearing on MSNBC’s AM Joy, an intelligence expert flatly stated that 10 years ago President-elect Donald Trump would be facing a treason trial instead of his inauguration over his embrace of Russian strongman Vladimir Putin..
[…]
“But I want to come to a point that was made a little bit earlier,” he added. “When did all of this happen to Donald Trump, right? He met Gorbachev. He was a big supporter of glasnost. At some point, he was co-opted by Vladimir Putin. and that means he bought into and embraced the dictatorial ideology that was done by a spy master of the KGB. Ten years ago, 20 years ago,there would be treason trials. I would like to bring one point up. because long ago there was a guy named Yuri Bezmenov, a KGB officer, and he wrote,’This is who the KGB targeted and recruited, egocentric people who lack moral principles and who are too greedy or who suffer from exaggerated self-importance. These are the people the KGB wants and finds easiest to recruit.'”
“Vladimir Putin went to the Yuri Andropov school of intelligence, he learned how to manipulate people, and at some point we need to find out when did Donald Trump’s ideology shift from western capitalism to Russian authoritarianism,” Nance concluded
Pardon all the quoting, but I cited the United States definition of treason and nothing in the RAW Story article supports such a charge. Besides as Dim Won said the idea that Russia is our enemy is so Nineteen Eighties. More over, Mrs. Clinton sold twenty percent of uranium production to the Russians. Russian simply can’t be our enemy.
It you want to eliminate the scourge of AIDS just think of two acronyms; to wit GAY, for Got Aids Yet, and AIDS, as in Anal Injected Death Sentence. Sadly I don’t have one for the use of illegal street drugs. Maybe next week.
The AIDS activist movement loves to detest American President, but refuses to address the root causes of a largely self-inflicted disease, from Slate:
When Annette Gaudino, a longtime activist with the AIDS Coalition to Unleash Power, or ACT UP, realized that Donald Trump was going to win the election, she felt a sick sense of déjà vu. Now a middle-aged woman with an established career in health care advocacy, living in a world where the vice president of the United States presides over gay marriages, she suddenly remembered what it was like to be a young person consigned to marginality and surrounded by death. “It’s new and unprecedented, but also so familiar,” Gaudino says of our reactionary moment. “That’s what makes it feel like you’re in a dream. I could swear this happened when I was 25. How is it happening now that I’m 50? We had this little window where we all fell a little bit for the illusion of progress, but it’s like, oh, just kidding.”
[…]
No one yet knows how this model will apply to the multifaceted dangers portended by Trump. “The first meeting was in many ways the easy meeting, because people are just so happy to find each other and everyone is so happy to have a chance to do something,” says Jeremiah Johnson, one of the ACT UP members who called the Nov. 22 gathering. “At the second meeting, suddenly you realize that everyone in the room has a different vision for what this group is and how it should function, and there’s no hierarchy, because it’s grass-roots.” Still, he says, “I’m incredibly optimistic right now because just the past week I’ve been flooded with emails of people doing things to try and contribute to the group.”
In so far as I know, neither former President Ronald Reagan nor future President Donald Trump ever infected anybody. So I suggest to the ilk of ACT-UP, instead looking to Washington for your AIDS villain, just look in the mirror. Now leave me alone.
The Snark of the Day, from Kellyanne Conway:
“Donald Trump, your next president, turned 200 counties across this country from @POTUS in 2012 to Pres. Trump in 2016.”

From Hill:
Last March, Podesta received an email purportedly from Google saying hackers had tried to infiltrate his Gmail account. When an aide emailed the campaign’s IT staff to ask if the notice was real, Clinton campaign aide Charles Delavan replied that it was “a legitimate email” and that Podesta should “change his password immediately.”
The staff of the wannabe President, formerly known as the Smartest Woman in the World, fell for a phishing scam. You don’t need smart like a fox when you the chicken coop is wide open.

- ? Over at Q and O Bruce goes into some detail on Hillary Clinton trying to point the finger at anybody and anything but Hillary Clinton for her loss in the recent presidential election.
It may be fake news, but it supports the building narrative. It also supports the idea that one should never, ever take anything printed or televised as news by the MSM at face value until there is real evidence of wrong-doing or whatever it is they’re claiming. They’re simply not to be trusted with the truth.
What’s this really all about? Sour grapes. The refusal of the Democrats and the left to accept the election results (something they lectured Republicans and the right about prior to the “unthinkable” happening, i.e. “revenge of the deplorables.”
. Sorry, Bruce I’m not buying that one either. There’s something more Sinister than that going on. I say to him in comments…
Does anybody remember Ted Kennedy sending a letter to the Russians back in 1984 trying to delegitimize the election of Ronald Reagan?Does anybody remember the hell-raising that Al Gore brought to the table over his losing the election?
There’s more to this list of course but you get the point I think. It’s impossible to look at the current situation without examining the history of the thing.
And by the way let’s also remember that several laws were broken to provide the Russians with uranium. And now based on what Hillary Clinton’s people are saying it was the Russians that caused her to lose the election? I don’t think so.
Even if we ignore this, does anybody really think that if the Russians were going to hack the election that they would allow Hillary Clinton to win the popular vote?
I mean, look. Anybody who’s read anything I’ve written in the last year knows full well that I am no way a Donald Trump supporter. The fact of the matter is that absent Hillary Clinton’s criminality there is no way Donald Trump wins the presidency.
And isn’t that the real Point here? We’re not just talking about covering up a political loss. We’re talking about muddying the water to prevent prosecution for criminality on a scale seldom seen at these levels of government previously.
Stalin you see taught his lessons well.At the end of the day all this is about muddying the water so as to prevent effective prosecution. The Democrats know full well that there is a chance albeit a small one, that Donald Trump will actually have the stones to respond to the public outcry for Democrat blood.
If you doubt me on this, ask George Zimmerman about the value of a narrative that is well entrenched before facts show up.
Background, at one point, to some degree and with varying success, the following parties tried in unduly influence the general election, Mrs. B.J. Clinton, she wanted to run against Little Donny; George Soros; the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia; the Mainstream Press, and the Democrat National Committee, in the tank for Mrs. Clinton.
Yet, but not surprisingly, the Slime from Searchlight has staged one final act of breaking wind on the nation stage, Dirty Harry Reid as cited by the Puffington Post:
Donald Trump’s campaign colluded with WikiLeaks in the runup to the presidential election to damage Hillary Clinton, outgoing Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) charged on Monday.
Reid, who has sharply criticized FBI Director James Comey for sitting on intelligence connecting Russian operatives and the Trump campaign, said he was unsure if Trump himself was aware of the activity. But he said people in Trump’s orbit certainly were.
Pried from behind the Wall Street Journal firewall by Scott Johnson, Power Line:
Democrats are still in shock from their defeat, and many want to add the Kremlin to FBI Director James Comey, fake news and the Electoral College as excuses that cast doubt on the legitimacy of Mr. Trump’s victory.
The new information in these latest stories is less about new intelligence than it is a judgment about Russian motives. Other sources who have seen the intelligence say there’s strong evidence that actors linked to high-level Russian officials hacked the Democratic National Committee (DNC) website. The Russians then posted them on sites they set up or handed them to WikiLeaks, though even the WikiLeaks transfer isn’t known for sure. The Administration made public the conclusion about the DNC hack months ago.
The difference now is that the intelligence community is said to have concluded with “high confidence” that the Russians did the hacking to help elect Mr. Trump. But we’re told the evidence for this conclusion is far from definitive, and multiple intelligence services offered no such judgments when briefing the House Intelligence Committee on the election-related hacks last week.
Just as Dirty Harry proclaimed he knew the contents of Mitt Romney’s tax returns, he claims to make a certain judgement that our national intelligence agencies were not willing to make to Congress. Maybe Dirty Harry opted for the wrong career. Instead being the most corrupt senator in Washington, he could been a real live Maxwell Smart.
Team Donny is asking questions for the Department of Energy. The watermelons are sweating melon seeds, from Willis Eschenbach, Watts Up with That:
Over at the Washington Post, Chris Mooney and the usual suspects are seriously alarmed by a memo sent out by the Transition Team at the Department of Energy. They describe it in breathless terms in an article entitled “Trump transition team for Energy Department seeks names of employees involved in climate meetings”.
Draining the swamp”
3 Can you provide a list of the Loan Program Office’s outstanding loans, including the parties responsible for paying the loan back, term of the loan, and objective of the loan?
4 Can you provide a list of applications for loans the LPO has received and the status of those applications?
5 Can you provide a full accounting of DOE liabilities associated with any loan or loan guarantee programs?
6 The Department recently announced the issuance of $4.5 billion in loan guarantees for electric vehicles (and perhaps associated infrastructure). Can you provide a status on this effort?
Reax:
Oh, man, they are going for the jugular. Loan Program Office? If there is any place that the flies would gather, it’s around the honey … it’s good to see that they are looking at loan guarantees for electric vehicles, a $4.5 billion dollar boondoggle that the government should NOT be in. I call that program the “Elon Musk Retirement Fund”.
This one is for Dirty Harry Reid.
28 Are there statutory restrictions related to reinvigorating the Office of Civilian Radioactive Waste Management?
29 Are there any statutory restrictions to restarting the Yucca Mountain project?
Reax:
These two questions show us that they plan to restart Yucca Mountain, the shuttered nuclear waste repository.
By the time Team Donny boils the lard out this hog, there will not be any pig left.
In a discussion elsewhere, I am asked;
Is there one #$@&__@ thing that anyone can talk about anymore without resort to technical epistemology?
To which I responded….
No.
We haven’t been able to work outside those confinements for some time now.
There is certainly a good deal out there of it. The most glaring example is the parsing of the word “is”. Most people here will understand exactly what I’m talking about on that score. And that’s out there for everybody to see in glaring detail.
But there are more subtle redefinitions. Ponder the use of the word “fairness”. Of the phrase “living wage”.
I could certainly make the list of redefined words longer but you get the gist of it.
But there’s one more phrase that I want you to consider. “Dog whistle”.It was the left that began the overuse of that phrase recently… mostly an attempt to disqualify words that actually mean things.
Before I close the editor and post this response I am reminded of Lewis Carroll…
“When I use a word,” Humpty Dumpty said, in rather a scornful tone, “it means just what I choose it to mean—neither more nor less.” “The question is,” said Alice, “whether you can make words mean so many different things.” “The question is,” said Humpty Dumpty, “which is to be master—that’s all.””Addendum… but then what did you expect from a group of people who absolutely believe there are no absolutes?
I close with this. How many words, how much of the language have we seen taken over Buy the fiscal and social left trying to make acceptable the unacceptable?
Time for common sense needle control, from behind the WaPo paywall via, Kate, Small Dead Animals:
Opioid deaths continued to surge in 2015, surpassing 30,000 for the first time in recent history, according to CDC data released Thursday.
That marks an increase of nearly 5,000 deaths from 2014. Deaths involving powerful synthetic opiates, like fentanyl, rose by nearly 75 percent from 2014 to 2015.
Heroin deaths spiked too, rising by more than 2,000 cases. For the first time since at least the late 1990s, there were more deaths due to heroin than to traditional opioid painkillers, like hydrocodone and oxycodone.
“The epidemic of deaths involving opioids continues to worsen,” said CDC Director Tom Frieden in a statement. “Prescription opioid misuse and use of heroin and illicitly manufactured fentanyl are intertwined and deeply troubling problems.”
In the CDC’s opioid death data, deaths may involve more than one individual drug category, so numbers in the chart above aren’t mutually exclusive. Many opioid fatalities involve a combination of drugs, often multiple types of opioids, or opioids in conjunction with other sedative substances like alcohol.
In a grim milestone, more people died from heroin-related causes than from gun homicides in 2015. As recently as 2007, gun homicides outnumbered heroin deaths by more than 5 to 1.
After all if a national registry of hypodermic needles only saves but one life, it is a moral impertive that we do it.
So they named Donald Trump person of the year over at Time Magazine?
Hmm.
Given that it was only a year ago that Angela Merkel was given that honor, with an Isis leader being in second place, you’ll forgive me if, given the disgrace that Angela Merkel has turned out to be, I find the implications ominous at least.

Surgeon General Vivek Murthyand spews utter male bovine excrement and Tampa Bay Times staff writers Divya Kumar and Kathleen McGrory lap it up, from the Tampa Bay Time, all the news that’s fit to fake:
Vaping among high school students has soared an eye-popping 900 percent since 2011 — so much so that e-cigarettes are now the most commonly used form of tobacco among young people, according to a report released Thursday by the U.S. Surgeon General.
The trend, Surgeon General Vivek Murthy wrote in the preface, constitutes a “major public health concern.”
The 298-page report does not provide new insight into the health effects of vaping. It is significant, however, because the nation’s top doctor deems the practice “unsafe” and issues a call to protect young people from its harmful effects.
From Wikipedia:
An electronic cigarette or e-cigarette[note 1] is a handheld electronic device that vaporizes a flavored liquid. The user inhales the vapor.[2] Using e-cigarettes is often called vaping.[4] The fluid in the e-cigarette, called e-liquid,[5] is usually made of nicotine, propylene glycol, glycerine, and flavorings.[2][6][7]
Is Surgeon General Vivek Murthy vying to become the Inspector Clouseau of the Obama regime?* E-liquid, at least in this universe, is not a tobacco product. Not that I would expect Dim Won’s surgeon general to actually know that.
[*] Well Murthy might be trying, but it would hard to be even more stupid than J. Forbes Kerry.
From Hill via Clayton Cramer:
Hilary Clinton on Thursday decried the spread of fake news online, calling it an “epidemic” that Congress should take action against.
“The epidemic of malicious fake news and false propaganda that flooded social media over the past year — it’s now clear the so-called fake news can have real-world consequences,” Clinton said during a speech on Capitol Hill.
Some Democrats have argued the spread of anti-Clinton fake news online contributed to her electoral loss to Donald Trump.
The issue has received renewed attention this week after a gunman entered a pizzeria in Washington that was at the center of a false viral conspiracy theory that alleged it was home to a pedophilia ring operated by Clinton and her inner circle.
Reax:
Not sure what she means. Discussion of Benghazi, or her rapist husband? If she’s upset about rumors on social media, perhaps she’ll take action against how most of her younger voters get misinformed? Regardless, any form of expression that isn’t libelous, slanderous, or treasonous is protected by the First Amendment, including burning Old Glory. Lies are largely a matter of opinion in the political sphere.
What it means is that Mrs. Clinton has lost yet another election is a still seething mad about it.
Fake news is any news which puts the democrats in bad light but which they can not spin If it were not for fake news, Mrs. Clinton would not make any news. News faked by Mrs. Clinton includes making a fortune on cattle futures by reading the Wall Street Journal, the idea that somehow TWA flight 800 blew-up due a electrical spark in an empty fuel tank, the idea Mr. Clinton was getting B.J. from an intern as merely some “Vast Right Wing Conspiracy”, the idea sniper fire in Bosnia, that the Clinton left the White House, with the china but were otherwise “dead broke”, but somehow bought two mansion and that her practice of storing official government records on her private computer was approved, by somebody who Mrs. Clinton could not recall.
Other notable fake news stories: Dim Won’s promise “If you like your doctor,l you can keep your doctor, the very idea of an Obama economic recovery, the idea that the late Fidel Castro deserves credit for never having on election in over sixty years and the United Nations is not merely a social club for unelected dictators.
Billy Beck says today:
“The saddest life is that of an aspirant under democracy. His failure is ignominious and his success disgraceful.”
(H.L. Mencken)
There was a time in my life when Col. John Glenn was an indisputable hero to me. I was alive when he did enormous things.
Then; he went and got himself elected to the United States Senate.
~~~~~
I remember a lot. That’s what history is for.
Billy I’m sure will be a little uncomfortable with this. But I can’t help but wonder if his governmental record wouldn’t have been a great deal better if he’d managed to steer clear of the Kennedy family. He could have done a lot of good.
But because he ended up as a Democrat he ended up doing a lot of bad. Defending the Clinton’s for example? Unconscionable. Of course he got paid off rather handsomely for that, at Clinton Whitehouse urging NASA put him back into space at age 77. Remember that one?
Jerry Saperstein notes Glenn’s passing and says;
I lived during the last days when it was possible for the United States to celebrate people as heroes, before the Fascists put their doctrines of political correctness, racism and racial quotas and Balkanization and divisiveness in place.
John Glenn was a hero. Sure, as an “astronaut” he was mostly a manufactured hero, but there was never any doubt of the man’s personal courage, He was a greatly flawed man as all men are, but back then we accepted human frailties without demonizing the man.
John Glenn is now gone at age 95. Undoubtedly public school teachers indoctrinate their innocent victims to believe that the original “Mercury Seven”, all white males, was the product of racism, misogyny, homophobia, Islamophobia and who knows what else.
Those of us who came before the Fascists took over will remember John Glenn and the others as brave, patriotic Americans.
Godspeed, John Glenn. You can’t even use that word any more.
All true. Sadly, I suspect and suppose the political correctness that Jerry correctly decries was created in no small part with the help of John Glenn himself as Senator John Glen.
Because of his space exploits John Glenn deserved richly the adulation of a Nation. Because of what he did with it and the power that resulted from it sadly he no longer deserves it… And has not for many years, now.
In short I honor the man he was, not the man he became
