It’s flat out amazing to me, the number of people who are willing to carry the water of Obama and his band of criminals, Hillary Clinton among them.Justin Katz says…

I’ll give you an example.
Yesterday afternoon this story started making the rounds about how Obama now has an approval rating of 46 percent. This is up somewhat from the record lows that he himself set a couple of months back. Of course the lamestream press is going to say that the approval rates are soaring, ignoring of course the idea of that 46% means that less than half the country approves of the job he’s doing. Ignoring of course the idea that just a short while ago candidate Obama was calling Bush’s approval rating in the middle 50s somewhere a complete disaster. I mean, look, I realize that this loser is all they’ve got but on what planet is 46% approval, so very impressive? Downright laughable if it weren’t so tragic for the country.
And yes, there are a number of the Obama defenders blaming the sub par numbers on racism. One guy made the claim the 46 wasn’t bad given what we have as a nation filled with racists.
Hey, morons.. if this is such a racist country how did he manage to get elected not once but twice? And by the way, some of those people you label racist, are the very ones who elected him. Those approval rating numbers make it clear a goodly number of the people that voted for him are now highly dissatisfied with him. Are these people who elected him, racist as well? Or is there some valid reason for being dissatisfied with him? Policy, perhaps?
To that point, I’m seeing increasing traffic in the social media the last several weeks that suggests that the candidacies of Obama and Clinton and their various exposed criminality (and frankly there’s no kind word) are damaging to the Democrat Party. I suspect that this is where at least part of the dissatisfaction with Obama is coming from.
Of course none of this considers the serious damage being done to the country, as Katz suggests.
In fairness, there are some who wants to move the Democrat Party away from these thugs, and to that end, the question has come up where is the other Democrat planning on running for president? There doesn’t appear to be any.
My immediate response is thst it’s a little difficult to work up any enthusiasm for a presidential run when in the back of your mind you have visions of becoming the next Vince Foster.
Of course that is an old example of such as tactics going on in the Democrat Party.
More recently, we’ve seen thuggish tactics popping up in both Minnesota and Wisconsin and now more recently in Texas. The amazing part is the rank-and-file Democrat are either turning a blind eye to this abuse are they are approving of it. Rather reminds one of Germany in the thirties.
That blonde from the State Department Marie Harff, who was described rather aptly yesterday by Martin McPhillips as James Carville in a medically induced coma, is dancing around the Obama lie that we discussed yesterday about the development time for a nuclear bomb in Iran. Well, now it appears she’s got something new to dance about.
You see, China is now sounding the alarm about a ramp up of nuclear weapons in North Korea. The official state departments statement is that North Korea should have learned from the negotiations with Iran. That statement of course ignores the idea that they already have learned, and based on that learning, they are taking advantage of this administration’s weakness.
Our friends don’t trust us a random is no longer Ferris at the left considers this a victory. Appositive. How do these people sleep at night?
Which brings us to the other Obama popularity charade. Simultaneously with the 46 percent approval rating story, comes a story that Obama is overwhelmingly popular with other world leaders. I wonder, how many of these other world leaders are sworn enemies of the US? I’m willing to bet for example that Obama is quite popular indeed in North Korea. In Cuba. And so on.
Now, that these stories come out simultaneously, suggest a fabrication. Obama is in trouble popularity wise at home and knows it. The long string of failures have finally started to take their toll. So, he needs to do something to prop himself up again. To prop his own ego up, if nothing else. So, a public relations push through an all too willing lamestream media.
And of course the usual suspects in the social media are still carrying this failures water. They consider these failures a net positive. They consider the thuggish behavior acceptable, and even worthy. Do you begin to understand what America is up against?
I’ll be taking Friday and Monday off so that I can spend a little quality time with Donna. A rare occurrence this. I’m very much looking forward to it. Since I won’t be driving those two days, I won’t be rambling either, so I’ll probably see you Tuesday

Been a long day. I got up around three this morning, drove from the southern tier of New York to mountain top Pennsylvania, over to southern New Jersey, and then back to mountain top, at at the moment I’m back in New Jersey. At 3 o’clock in the morning I will get up and drive into Brooklyn to deliver a load.
The truck, other than that blessed service engine soon light is behaving itself. I suspect the computer will shut it off tomorrow during the day sometime. That’s been the way of it before. Meaning, I think that light being on is a false alarm.
I did manage to get the sleeper cooler dealt with. It now functions as it should. Which is a little annoying actually. It does make the sleeper bearable in the summer months, but it makes all kinds of noise on my radio systems to the point where I can’t hear anything beyond a mile or two away. Annoying indeed.
I’m planning on taking both Friday and Monday off to allow me to spend some quality time with Donna. We don’t get to spend nearly enough time together and I am very much looking forward to this weekend. Welcome to my world.
The first thing that caught my eye, or more correctly my ear this morningmorning, wasn’t report from Eli Lake over at Bloomberg. For those who don’t know, Lake is approximately 2 inches removed from the Clinton administration. Watch for him to be beating the drums for Hillary for however long she manages to survive this election cycle.
Lake reports that the Obama administration new years ago that at best Iran is about 3 months away from being able to create a nuclear bomb. That’s right, 3 months. Not the year or more that he has been telling us about. In short, Obama lied yet again.
And, oh by the way, Benjamin Netanyahu was telling us the truth while Mr Obama was busy stamping his feet and telling us all what a liar Netanyahu was.
There’s this also. Have you noticed that the tone of the conversation has shifted away from the idea that Iran having a nuclear weapon at its disposal is totally unacceptable, to where we are now which is who are we need to say that they shouldn’t have a nuclear weapon?
Always ask the same question here that I did the other day is regards to Hillary Clinton. Did Democrat ever tell the truth? Ever?
Oh, speaking of Hillary, there’s an article in the New York Post today about how for in cash, those for and donations, are making Bill and Hillary filthy rich. There’s another this suggests that only 15 percent of the cash given to the Clinton Foundation went to charity.
Of course, I should point out that quid pro quo is nothing new for the Clintons. Matter of fact, here’s an example of that that I wrote during her last campaign.
If there’s anything that amazes me about all of this it’s that these criminals still have their defenders amongst the voting public.

Hercules and Leo, who are currently used for biomedical experiments at Stony Brook University on Long Island, were granted habeas corpus by Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Barbara Jaffe.
Habeas corpus is a legal petition that detainees use to seek relief from unlawful imprisonment, and by granting habeas corpus to chimps, Jaffe endorsed the idea that they deserve the rights of a human being.
Advocates argue great apes are highly intelligent and self-aware beings with complex emotional lives that deserve basic rights, including the right to be free of inhumane punishment.

Rebekah, alongside her trainer, who is also an amputee, ran the last few miles of the race and crossed the finish line. Injured after the first blast in 2013, Rebekah had her leg amputated last November, a year and a half after the bombings.

As this is written I am outside Wilawana, Pennsylvania. No, don’t ask me where the name came from, I have no idea. I spent most of today in Monroe County, doing some local work and then getting the truck looked at.
For the first time in a number of months, the computer came up with an error code and I felt it necessary to look at it. Nothing major, & I suspect it was simply a case of a bad connection, but we will see. One thing that did come up in the diagnosis is that the firmware in the engine controller computer needs to be upgraded. I’ll tend to that sometime in the next week or two.
From here, I’ll run to mountain top Pennsylvania and then down to Burlington New Jersey. Welcome to my world.
I was quite pleased indeed to hear Jim Quinn back on the radio this morning. I haven’t bothered investigating where he is originating from though I imagine he’s probably still in Pittsburgh. But I did hear him doing his normal show on WYSL this morning. Kudos to Bob Savageand company for getting them back on the air.
I note John Fund this morning writing about Carly Fiorina. He says Carly has the Clintonistas worried. I think he’s right. Then again, any kind of opposition is going to give her trouble right now. The woman has more baggage than the Orient Express, and several bodies behind her as well. It’s not going to take much to deal with her.
By the way, speaking of Hillary, what is this I see about Scooby Doo being clocked at 92 miles an hour going to a dinner? more rules are for little people attitude, Hilary?
It seems that auto makers are uncomfortable with individuals repairing cars. They seem to think that there are legal ramifications. Well of course there are. Particularly when the government runs the automobile industry. Is there anything that the government doesn’t want complete control over?

Having said that Manhart was legally wrong, I do like the cause for which Manhart choose to follow her conscience rather than the letter of of the law and in the manner is which she deported herself. Well done. I also note that a former member of the Air Force appeared to be better shape than some of the current members of the Valdosta State University police.

Today, I’m in Denver, Pennsylvania. Yes, Virginia there actually is Denver, Pennsylvania. I’m resting a bit while they unload my trailer. from here, given its Thursday, I will probably be running to Carlisle, and then from there to the Albany area. And, to home.
I haven’t been to this place in a number of years. I had forgotten about it until I rolled in the front door and remember the layout at a glance. Last time I was here, I was still having some backing issues, and this place is a little short on space. Needless to say my memories of the place I’m not all that pleasant.
That said, I had a pleasant day in the sunshine, spend some time cleaning the truck, reading, had a nice lunch. All while waiting for this floor-to-ceiling load.
Cassie is running just fine, the mileage is improving somewhat with warmer weather, I’m up to a little under seven miles per gallon right now. That’s actually fairly good for a full size truck.
You may remember yesterday that I mentioned Hillary Clinton had a little trouble raising substantial number of people to show up to her much ballyhooed announcement of running for president. It turned out that the people it did show up first of all were outnumbered by the members of the press, and it also turned out that the people that did show up were picked specifically by the Clinton campaign and driven there. In other words, we were treated to fake spontaneity.
Now it appears the stories that Mrs Clinton treated the attendees to, were also fake.
She’s going to great lengths to identify that she’s riding around during her campaign in a family van.
Of course, what they don’t say is it the van is secret service issue, is equipped with heated leather seats air conditioning full tint, and a bed. How do I know this? Because it was spotted in a handicapped spot the other day. We’re back to the idea that rules are for little people.

Years ago, they used to call it the truck stops of America. I suppose they were trying to widen their horizons, but frankly it wasn’t necessary.
Last night I ended up spending the night at Babylon New York, because when I got there there wasn’t anybody to unload me. I got up this morning ran from Babylon New York to mountain top Pennsylvania and then back into the Bronx and now I’m back in New Jersey near the Pennsylvania border. That’s a little under 400 miles today. Not whole bunches of miles by my standards but not too bad. Remember, I get paid by the mile these days.
The reactions are started rolling in on Hillary Clinton, and if as I suspect these people aren’t even warmed up yet, she’s in for a rough time of it for the next year and a half anyway… And by extension the Democrats with her.
If you read yesterday’s column you will remember I mentioned that the number reporters at Mrs. Clinton’s campaign kickoff outnumbered the number of average citizens there. Now, we find out it was even worse than that. The supposedly average citizens that showed up for the thing, we’re driven in by Clinton staffers. These included, apparently, Obama staffers, lobbyists, and campaign workers.
And of course, being the class act that she is, is already developing a reputation of somebody that will stiff the wait staff. This stuff isn’t going to end well to say the least. And as I say the objections to her haven’t even warmed up yet.
It strikes me that one of the outcomes of all this is that the Democrats will have to come up with somebody else to run. Now, there’s only one replacement that I’m aware of… Elizabeth Warren.
There is much to be said about Elizabeth Warren. If nothing else, she is living proof that an entire human being can be cloned from an ingrown toenail, and will adopt many of its personality traits… But, less in the way of brain cells. Her getting the nomination seems to me about as likely is Obama actually producing those shovel-ready jobs we were promised. That said, Hillary will probably get the nomination, but as far as the general election, I’m with Megan McArdle. Hillary is not inevitable.
My biggest fear at this point is that the GOP leadership will look at the high negatives on anybody the Democrats might talk into the now hopeless quest for the White House, and decide they can run any milk toast centrist they desire, as they’ve tried to do the last several elections. Honestly, it’s the only way I can see them losing this thing. My fear is that somehow, in spite of this massive advantage that they’ve been given, like a head on a platter, they will manage it.
One of the problems the Democrats have right now is that there’s still lock stock and barrel involved in pushing the global warming scam. Most people know it’s a scam, and it’s causing the Democrats some serious problems with the polls. If the GOP is smart they will use that problem. And here’s how to do it.

Today I’m out on Long Island, near Babylon. I think it would have been interesting to see this neighborhood hundred years ago. Today, to be perfectly honest, what I’ve seen of it holds no interest for me.
You can see where it used to be attractive, semi-rural, semi nautical if you will, given the proximity to the ocean but these days it’s nothing more than a bedroom for New York City. And it looks it.
I make note of Roger Simon’s column today.
Not only is Rubio the best speaker and the most attractive candidate, the buzz machine is right. He could be a Republican JFK. (Let’s leave aside whether JFK himself was JFK. We’re talking myth here.) He has youth, brains and charm. As of now he is easily the most charismatic candidate the GOP has had since Ronald Reagan. I know that’s not saying much. The GOP hasn’t been long on charisma. But Rubio clearly has got it.
So says Roger Simon. And he’s got a point. He also suggests elsewhere in his article that Rubio could be on his way to a to early peak. That also is a problem. As a matter of fact it was the end I had rather hoped for with Jeb Bush.
As for the charisma bit, yes he’s got it, but you really have to wonder after eight years of somebody long on charisma and short on talent, and actual policies that work, whether or not the American voter is going to be quite so worried about that aspect of the personality of our next president. Its to the point now where Jon Huntsman would look good. That, despite his RINO credentials.
Rubio, for his part, came off as genuine and a real contender yesterday. He did speak up about Hillary Clinton, calling her the candidate of yesterday. I can’t help but think that’s going to stick very nicely.
Speaking of people that don’t have any charisma, now we see Hillary Clinton attacking CEO pay.In other words, going after the employers. We did this once before, already. And a few thousand times before that.
When you attack people with money, when you attack employers, people that provide jobs, one should not be sitting around wondering why in the world the economy has hit the wall. It’s kind of like sticking with cigarettes into a gallon container of gasoline and then wondering why it blows up. but, that’s what Hillary Clinton is doing just now.
Again. It hasn’t worked the last thousand times it’s been tried, this routine, it’s gotten people elected certainly but it hasn’t solve any economic woes for anybody. That was the stated goal, if you’ll recall.
Here’s the thing, though. She’s doing it, because it’s all she has. That kind of class warfare rhetoric is all the left has ever had. The line has been told for so long that making the rich poorer makes the poor richer, it’s now accepted among some as fact.
But therein lies the point that I’m making. The difference between Hillary Clinton and anyone else on the Republican side, its the one on the Republican side, Rubio included, that’s going to have to come up with something more then just the myth. They’re going to have to come up with something that works in reality not just on the campaign trail. It’s my view of the American people simply aren’t that dumb.
As an indicator of this, I know that the reporters outnumbered the voters at her opening in Iowa today.
Of course, this scenario I’ve described assumes the GOP is smart enough to embrace someone like Rubio instead of treating him like the next Sarah Palin. We know the price is going to do that, they always do. But now it’s up to the GOP leadership as to what happens in this country.
