Obama_clown-noseThe Obama regime has issued a report edict purported to intend to protect college coeds from the infamous and evil male rape culture:

(CNN) — The Obama administration on Monday took another step in its effort to combat rape on college campuses with the release of a new report.

The White House Task Force to Protect Students from Sexual Assault produced the 20-page report. The task force, including Attorney General Eric Holder and Secretary of Education Arne Duncan, spent the last three months talking to “thousands of people” and compiled a number of very specific recommendations:

The administration calls for further training for those who deal with sexual violence on college campuses.

“Insensitive or judgmental comments — or questions that focus on a victim’s behavior (e.g., what she was wearing, her prior sexual history) rather than on the alleged perpetrator’s — can compound a victim’s distress,” the report notes.

To which I say, male bovine scat*. You can not be nonjudgmental is you simply assume that a female accuser behavior in no way contributed to the event about which is the subject of her complaint. You can not protect women from the so-called rape culture by remaining mute on the dressing like a slut and getting stone cold drunk among a group of strangers.

I am not pro-rape but I also believe that even the lowly male deserves a presumption of innocence and due process. Alas making such outrageous demand of constitutional protect will could make me a leper like Cliven Bundy.

Assume for the sake of discussion, and I do not, that the following is in fact true, from TMZ:

L.A. Clippers owner Donald Sterling told his GF he does NOT want her bringing black people to his games … including Magic Johnson … and it’s ALL on tape.

TMZ Sports has obtained audio of Sterling making the racist declaration during a heated argument on April 9th with V. Stiviano … after she posted a photo on Instagram posing with Magic.

Sterling’s alleged gaffe appears to violate no law. We all have the right of free association, and nobody has a right to a free ticket to a basketball game.

Now allegations that Sterling is a racist are certainly not not, from Donald Douglas, American Power:

And left-wing author and activist Earl Ofari Hutchinson, back in 2009, hammered Sterling’s racism — and took the NAACP to task for giving the Clippers owner a pass on his disgusting racist bigotry. See, “Put Donald T. Sterling’s NAACP Award on Hold”:

Not to pick-on Glenn “Doc” Rivers in particular, but a person, even a black like Rivers, accept money, as in a paycheck from a known racist without becoming a racist himself? Can an organization such as the National Association for the Advancement of [Liberal] Colored People accept money from a racist without becoming racist itself?

Bonus, is it racist for the NAA[L]CP to honor the racist the Reverend Al Sharpton?

The Fat Lady of the United Statesa (FLOTUS), a/k/a Michelle Obama has decided to butt out of a Topeka high school graduation, from Hill:

First lady Michelle Obama is scrapping her plans to deliver a graduation speech for high school seniors in Topeka, Kan., after hundreds signed a petition in protest. Instead of delivering a graduation speech, Obama will speak before the school district the day before graduation, and will deliver remarks at a “Senior Recognition Day.” More than 1,750 people had signed a petition protesting the first lady’s appearance at the graduation ceremony, angered that security concerns would limit the number of friends and family who could attend.

It is not confirmed that the school could not accommodate both the over sized butt of FLOTUS and the student body at the same time. Need less to say, a graduation ceremony should be about the achievementa and aspireations to the actual students and not merely a back drop for yetr another campaign rally.

Of the two justices, only Scalia comes close to what the Constitution actually says.   In contrast, clearly Justice Sotomayor is literate.   However the unwise Latina evidently deems it  is not necessary to read, or at least heed the Constitution which she took an oath to uphold and protect.

Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor’s dissent from the high court’s 6-2 decision Tuesday to uphold Michigan’s voter-approved ban on affirmative action for public universities has been variously described as “blistering,” “scathing,” and “outraged.”

It is passionate, for sure, but it is actually logical and scholarly, and well worth curling up with.

She laments that the court’s role as a bulwark against suppression of the minority has crumbled, and that her colleagues have allowed Michigan voters “to do what our Constitution forbids.”

I could well lament the fact that lynching is no longer legal because O.J. Simpson got wrongly acquited after hie murdered two people.

The purpose of the Constitution is not to protect the People from unwise acts of the People, but rather to protect the People from over reaching power  of the State.   Sotomayor has not the least problem with racial discrimination, when wields as an battle axe by the state.   She does object to the People having a say in how their government functions.

A transgender male, he had a personal interest in providing a safe, fun place for kids who live on the outskirts of society. Teich loved the camp in Maine he had attended as a girl. The article is lengthy and a little geeky, given it draws geavily on an old ‘Twightlight Zone’ episode.  The author, however, draws a point in a fashion I’ve never quite seen before, so it is worthwhile.

Note particularly the following…

Imagine protesters agitating against a policy or law being considered in Congress.

Abortion rights activists: Hands off my body you sexist males!
Gun rights supporters: Let us have our guns back!
Gay marriage advocates: Please let have equality with heterosexuals and have our marriages subsidized and recognized by you!

As TLP pointed out, see the problem developing here? The problem isn’t whether the government should do X, Y or Z, it is that we inherently accede to the framework the state is all-powerful and we need to petition the government for rights. Instead of wondering, “Why does the government decide who is or isn’t married?,” we demand equality in the sense that all of our relationships are judged by the state. It is a victory if you are a fan of narcissistic authoritarianism.

What the government gets wrong, we ignore everything it does that we agree with. In The Obsolete Man, would you have been upset if the Chancellor deemed a doctor relevant because he was an expert at heart surgery? You wouldn’t even blink an eye probably. That is the problem, we have been taught to ignore authoritarianism when we agree with or if it suits our needs. We only get angry and agitate for superficial change we it does not.

Recall, please, that this set of events is exactly what I mentioned as the goal of Obamacare… that it didn’t matter if the thing worked to solve supposed issues with healthcare. What mattered was that it was accepted that healthcare was unquestioned  as the province of government. Why do you suppose Obama and company are spending so much spittle saying “conversation over”?

Notice also, please, where the remaining arguments have descended to…. when the GOP complains about Obamacare, and its overt failures, they say to the GOP… “where’s YOUR healthcare plan?” And the GOP dutifully: puts out a plan with government at its center.
No matter what happens, government takes over healthcare. No wonder the Obamaflunkies consider it a success.

I made the point several weeks ago that who marries who should not now and should never have been, the purview of government.  The above passage makes reference to that issue.

At what point do we as Americans believe in freedom enough to countenance the idea that government does not belong in control of some things, instead of running to government as the first solution to every issue?

U.S. Sen. Harry Reid on Thursday called supporters of Bunkerville rancher Cliven Bundy “domestic terrorists” because they defended him against a Bureau of Land Management cattle roundup with guns and put their children in harm’s way.

“Those people who hold themselves out to be patriots are not. They’re nothing more than domestic terrorists,” Reid said during an appearance at a Las Vegas Review-Journal “Hashtags & Headlines” event at the Paris. “… I repeat: what went on up there was domestic terrorism.”

Despite Reid’s characterization of Bundy supporters as “domestic terrorists,” the only violence metered out during the dispute was when BLM agents tasered and assaulted Bundy supporters during an incident on April 9.

No matter where you stand on the Bundy issue, Reid’s characterization of American protesters as “domestic terrorists” is chilling and a massive backlash is almost certain to follow.

Say yes to beef and say no to solar farms.   Dirty Harry Reid wants to sacrifice Cliven Bundy ranch so that his son can put in a solar farm.   Bundy loses, and Dirty Harry gets even richer.

Phyllis Schlafly opposes the Pay Check Fairness Act, for good reason, but liberals, for their own strange reasons, support it. One woman versus the entire liberal establishment. This not even a fair fight. Mrs. Schlafly already battled and beat the Equal Rights Amendment.

So how many oranges does it take to equal a bushel of apples?   Answer it is impossible to say because an   orange is not an apple.  Like the irate feminists who argue for yet more legislation to make women equal to men miss the barrel.   A man and a women are not equal.   Just as a orange can not be made equal to an apple neither can a man and a woman be made equal.   Men and women are different*.

Men and women make different decisions, and do different work, from Mark J. Penn, AEI:

So why is the left so obsessed with trying to pretend that oranges are the same as apples, from Kyle Mantyla, Right Wing Watch:

As [Phyllis] Schlafly sees it, women want to marry a man who makes more money than they do.  As such, if women and men make the same amount, then women will be less likely to get married because they will be “unable to find what they regard as a suitable mate.”

The solution, obviously, is to increase the pay gap so that men will earn more than women so that women, in turn, will have a better opportunity to find husbands

No Mrs   Schlafly, is not arguing the that pay gap should be increased.   Rather she is arguing that the so-called pay gap does not exist in the first place.
